February Releases To Look Forward To

While the first month of the year gave us flicks like Tanhaji and Chaapak, there is ample of entertainment waiting for us in the second month too.
A number of highly anticipated movies, both Bollywood and Hollywood are releasing in February and we are ready for the treat.
Whether you like action, romance, thriller, drama or horror- February has something for you! So here we go, February releases we (and everyone else) is looking forward to –

MALANG

Releasing on February 7 is Mohit Suri’s thriller Malang. The revenge drama stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemu. Its cinematic trailer has already intrigued the movie-goers. Add to that the impression from Director Mohit Suri’s previous works… it’s a flick we just can’t miss!

SHIKARA

A drama directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra… even the trailer hits differently. Shikara tells the story of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced out of their homes due to unrest in the valley in the 1990s. It is releasing on February 7 and you can expect some beautiful cinematography.

BIRDS OF PREY

This has been a long anticipated movie for DC and Harley Quinn fans. Birds of Prey is releasing on February 7. Its trailer has kept the fans on their toes… hinting a completely different approach. Margot Robbie returns as the main lead Harley Quinn along with Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ewan McGregor in important roles.

RASHMI ROCKET

On 10th February Taapsee Pannu is returning with her widely anticipated movie Rashmi Rocket. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, this sports drama tells the story of an athlete from Gujarat. After the initial looks were revealed on Instagram, the social media has been buzzing with anticipation.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG

This one will take you back to the childhood! The widely loved character is coming to theatres with its own movie on February 14.

LOVE AAJ KAL 2

Comedy, Drama, Romance… February 14 is bringing another treat in form of Director Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal. It stars Karthik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan and Randeep Hooda. A take on love in modern times, the romantics have been looking forward to this one for months already.

SHUBH MANGAL ZYADA SAAVDHAN

This is the one that I personally am looking forward to. The reasons are obvious- the super talented Ayushmann Khurrana in a pro-LGBTQ movie! And the trailer… it’s hard not to be excited for this one. The comedy-drama is directed by Hitesh Kewalya and stars Jitendra Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta alongside Khurrana. February 21st can’t come sooner!

BHOOT PART 1: THE HAUNTED SHIP

Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh and starring Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar. Bhoot: The Haunted Ship is a horror-thriller drama releasing on February 21st. Seeing who the actors are, it’s not wrong to say we can expect a lot from this film. It is no wonder that horror fans are excited!
