  • Wonderla Holidays Ltd, India’s largest amusement park chain, reopened Wonderla Bangalore Park on 12th August 2021. 
  • As part of the reopening initiative, Wonderla was giving a limited offer where the visitors could enjoy a fun-filled day at the park for just Rs. 799 (inclusive of GST), with access to all land and water rides. 
  • The park was open only from Thursday to Sunday from 11 am onwards. 

Wonderla reopens

Following the guidelines and best practices issued by the government on 25th July 2021, the park functioned with 50 % capacity and Wonderla became the first amusement park that secured COV – safe certification by Bureau Veritas India. Wonderla encouraged visitors to book their entry tickets in advance through their online portal bookings.

Mr. Arun K Chittilapilly, Managing Director, Wonderla Holidays Ltd, before the reopening, said, “We are grateful to the Government of Karnataka for allowing amusement parks to function, following all guidelines. We are fully prepared to reopen our Bangalore Park, keeping all safety precautions in check, and would like to extend a warm welcome to our customers. All our staff are vaccinated.”

As part of Wonderla’s reopening initiative, Wonderla thanked COVID-19 workers for all their efforts during the pandemic through COVID Angel Days. Wonderla invited 1,500 COVID-19 workers from the state along with 3 of their family members or friends to a fun-filled day with free entry tickets to Wonderla Bangalore Park.

The invitees included social workers and frontline workers like Doctors, Nurses, Attendants, Media reporters, Police, Crematorium workers, Asha workers, etc. The registration for ‘Covid Angels’ opened from 2nd to 8th August.
