In a tragic incident, an Indian couple died after falling 800 feet in an area with steep terrain in California’s Yosemite National Park this week, according to a media report. Vishnu Viswanath, 29, and Meenakshi Moorthy, 30, fell to their deaths from Taft Point in Yosemite National Park. They were identified Monday as a married couple from India living in the United States, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The report said that the couple had recently moved from New York after Viswanath took a job as a systems engineer at Cisco, based in San Jose. Together, they chronicled their adventures of travelling around the world in a blog called ‘Holidays and HappilyEverAfters’.

Rangers recovered their bodies on the steep terrain Thursday below Taft Point, a popular tourist spot that offers spectacular views of the Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Falls, and El Capitan. Visitors had spotted the bodies a day earlier. Park spokesman Jamie Richards was quoted as saying in the report that “We still do not know what caused them to fall. We’re trying to understand what happened. We may never know, (but) from everything we see, this was a tragic fall.”

Investigators were looking into how the couple fell or what had occurred when the accident happened at the famous spot which is a favourite place for tourists from around the world to take scenic and memorable photos. Earlier, the National Park Service had said in a statement that the recovery operation for a male and female visitor who had died in the fall from Taft Point was completed on the afternoon of October 25. The department said the two people fell approximately 800 feet below Taft Point in an area with very steep terrain.

This recovery operation involved Park Rangers using technical climbing and rappelling techniques, in addition to helicopter support from the California Highway Patrol for a short-haul operation. The report added that the couple had been married since 2014 and both were software engineers. On the cover of Viswanath’s Facebook page is a picture of the two of them smiling on the edge of a cliff at the Grand Canyon.

In a Facebook post, College of Engineering, Chengannur said the two were its alumni and added that it deeply mourns their “accidental demise”. The college said Viswanath and Moorthy belonged to the BTech 2006-10 Computer Science and Engineering batch. “Our hearts go to the friends and family members of this lovely couple. May their souls rest in peace,” the college said.

Raj Katta, 24, of New York, said he got to know both of them while attending Bradley University, in Illinois. He said Viswanath was a “thoughtful and amazing guy, very talented. They are a really happy couple. Very positive.” Katta described Moorthy as extremely positive and enthusiastic. “She’s one of those girls who wants to explore the world and discover a deeper meaning in life.” He said in the report that Viswanath and Moorthy had decided six months ago that he would take the job at Cisco and they would live in California for a year or so.

Pak badly frustrated after US, France and United Kingdom come to India’s rescue against the terror sponsoring nation PAK

India has won diplomatically at the global level against Pakistan. The three countries of the world, super power United States of America, France and England have credibly stood in favour of India and against Pakistan by supporting India’s anti Pakistan stance and move a resolution in the United Nation’s demanding declaration of brutal n obnoxious Jaish chief as international terrorist in the UN list n pronouncing Pak a terrorist state responsible for engineering umpteen despicable murderous attacks in the Indian soil on several ocassions. This is a huge setback to coward Pakistan n its cricketeer turned flamboyant PM Imran Khan.

This is the right, opportune and most apt time for the world communities especially the western nations n the Europeon union to come forward to help n support India in their fight against global terrorism.

The entire world n humanity has already suffered tremendously at the hands of these divisive, reactionery n murdurous forces who’ve wrecked havoc in the entire global scenerio and India seems to be worst victim of this despicable murdurous n destructive trend at the hands of Pakistan who’d since decades been harbouring, aiding and abetting the terror sanctuaries, killing unfinite number of people within n outside Pakistan despite warnings from US n the peace loving countries.

It’s really shocking that even the United Nations have not been successful in its efforts to declare Pakistan as a hardcore terrorist state despite it’s unambiguous involvement in the US twin Tower attack, Mumbai attack, Pathan Kot attack and hundreds of other misadventures in strife torn Kashmir resulting in the most abominable unprovoked killings of innocent civilians n the army troopers making thousands of children fatherless n mothers widow.

There have been about 1800 or more cross border violations by Pakistan of the Indo Pak peace accord and shockingly over 80 thousand civilians, troopers n extremists have been killed in Kashmir during the last three decades.

There have been several instances of decapitating the heads of Indian Army soldiers at the LOC and Pak sponsored terror blasts in various parts of Kashmir n India.

The Pakistan Army, its ISI n the political dispensation are in league to ensure that India is destabilised from all angles having lost all wars fought with India till date.

The Chinese government is the one that is fully backing bankrupt Pakistan against India n had till date opposed the India’s entry into the elite Nucleur suppliers group as well as India’s every initiative to declare Azar Mehmood as the International terrorist in the UN list.

Entire world knows that the major culprit of 1992/ 94 Mumbai Bomb Blast mastermind Davood Ibrahim is in Karachi being protected by the ISI.

Who does not know that LET chief n mastermind of twin tower attack in US n Mumbai that killed about 6000 innocents obnoxious Hafiz is in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Are people n politicians of the world not aware that Jaish E Mohammed’s chief Azar Masood the mastermind of Pulwama attack n several other attacks in Kashmir lives is Bhawalpur, Rawal Pindi in Pakistan under full police protection.

Who does not know that Burhan Wani killed by Indian Army was the LET n Jaish’s proxy who killed hundreds of innocents in Kashmir and on who’s honour the govt of Pakistan released a postage stamp giving him an honourable status of a martyr.

Is it not true that after the dastardly killing of 41 CRPF troopers in Pulwama, Kashmir the Jaish chief Azhar Masood himself claimed the responsibility of the Avantipora massacre.

There are hundreds of well established proofs with America n India n the UN is still not able to declare Pak as the terrorist state n catch hold of these two dreaded terrorists masterminding terror operations n killing myriad number of innocents worldwide .

Time has arrived when all the peace loving countries of the world should sideline China n Pakistan in the global scenerio and apply sanctions against it including carrying out of flushing operations to arrest Hafiz Sayeed n Azhar Masood out of the Pak territory dead or alive. This is the only n most relevant solution to give a formidable stop to terrorism in Asia n the world. What’s your take friends?

Lt general Deepender Singh Hooda, chief Northern Command, who masterminded and led the 2016 surgical strike over terrorists launch Pads in the Pakistan territory while speaking to AAJ TAK has said unambiguously that this is the right time for the Indian military and the security forces to show their might if not on a full scale war but partially not being bothered as to what mighty nations like China think of us. Since this is a matter of extreme urgency pertaining to our nation’s security India should be least concerned about the concerns of the foreign nations. We are duty bound to counter terrorism n safeguarding our borders. Genl Hooda said the time has come when India should go to USA n other countries especially China to accquaint them in person about the repeated misadventures of Pakistan and take unified action against terrorism globally, especially in the context of Pak sponsored unproviking attacks on India n Indian forces against India. He catagorically said that USA should be asked n requested to apply pressure on Pakistan to give up terrorism as the situation has now crossed the saturation point. Genl Hooda said India should relook at its policies n try to review it particularly in the context of Pakistan. We should’nt close our eyes towards these tragic incidents of martydom but should stand up with extreme alertness n feel duty bound to take appropriate military action to counter terrorist camps at all costs. If not now then when? Though full scale war is not a solution to this problem but the military n paramilitary forces should show its might in such critical situations.

It may be recalled that Lieutenant General Deependra Singh Hooda, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC is the former General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian army’s Northern Command. The General Officer was the Northern Army Commander during the ‘surgical strike’ in September 2016.

Meanwhile, the Indian government has today summoned the Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi to South Block and registered its strongest protest against the Pak government for its arbitrary action in Avantipora Kashmir by aiding n abetting the Jaishe Mohammed terrorists n its chief Azhar Mehmood roaming freely in Pak.

The rupee weakened by 26 paise to 71.45 against the US dollar in early trade on Monday on increased demand for the American currency from importers amid rising crude prices and foreign fund outflows.

At the interbank forex exchange, the rupee opened lower at 71.38 and weakened further to quote 26 paise down at Rs 71.45 against the dollar.

Forex dealers said the dollar’s gains against some other currencies overseas too weighed on the rupee sentiment.

However, a positive opening of the domestic equity market capped the rupee’s losses, they said.

Brent crude, the international oil benchmark, was trading 0.46 per cent higher at USD 62.99 per dollar, its two-month high.

On Friday, the rupee had shed 16 paise to end at 71.19 against the dollar.

Meanwhile, the benchmark BSE Sensex rose 32.76 points, to 32,419.37 in opening session Monday.

Defence Minister in Hawaii along with Commander of INDOPACOM Adm. Phil Davidson

In a first, India’s Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited US Indo-Pacific Command in Hawaii. The visit comes months after Washington changed the name of Pacific Command, its largest command in the world, to Indo-Pacific Command.

She was hosted by Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command Adm. Phil Davidson who said, “Our two democratic nations are committed to upholding a rules-based international order, which has brought decades of peace, stability, and prosperity. We are global partners on defence and security and this exemplifies our mutual cooperation to assure a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”

India’s defence minister also visited the historic Pearl Harbour and boarded US Guided Missile Destroyer USS Michael Murphy.

The visit coincided with the 77th anniversary of the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbour by Japanese forces, the attack which is considered a turning point in World War 2 and eventually led to the defeat of Japanese forces in the region. Nirmala Sitharaman is on an official visit to the US from 2-7 December 2018, at the invitation of US Secretary of Defence James Mattis.

The visit by Defence Minister comes at a time when India and US have been engaged in talks to expand the Indo Pacific concept. At the Shangri La Dialogue in Singapore, PM Modi said that Indo-Pacific is inclusive and “India’s vision for the Indo-Pacific Region is a positive one” with “ASEAN centrality and unity”.

The United States and India have been major defence partners since 2016. During the recently concluded inaugural US-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue in New Delhi in September, the two countries signed COMCASA or Communications Compatibility and Security Agreement.

Air forces of India and the US are currently conducting a 12-day military exercise in Kalaikunda and Panagarh air bases in West Bengal, with an aim to enhance operational coordination, according to IAF officials. The ‘Ex Cope India-18’ will be the fourth edition in the series of bilateral drills between the Indian Air Force and the US Air Force.

India, US to increase engagement in oil, energy sector

India and the US Wednesday pledged to further strengthen economic cooperation and increase engagement in the oil and energy sector with a view to boost bilateral trade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US Vice President Mike Pence had “productive discussions on all aspects of global strategic partnership based on growing convergence of interests on regional and global issues” on the sidelines of East Asia Summit here, Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Raveesh Kumar said.

Later briefing reporters, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said it was a “very good” meeting.

The two sides had brief discussion on trade-related matters.

In a statement, Pence’s office said he encouraged “free, fair, and reciprocal trade with India.” “We agreed that in a new relationship we are building with the US where trade is expanding, we need to find ways in which we can help that process to take place,” Gokhale said.

The prime minister said that in the last 2 years – since President Donald Trump has assumed office – American exports to India have grown 50 per cent and it is perhaps the only one of the top 10 countries with which the US has a trade deficit, and the deficit has actually reduced last year and is on course to further reduce this year, Gokhale said.

“There was a lot of discussions on energy. This is a new sector in Indo-US relations. We have begun importing oil and gas from the US worth about USD 4 billion this year. We expressed our readiness to import more oil and gas from the US as a way of expanding our trade,” he said.

The defence sector was another area of cooperation between the two sides.

“Both sides agreed that there had been a substantial enhancement in our defence relationship, in our imports of equipment from the US, but the prime minister in particular stressed that there was a great opportunity for the US in India in making defence equipment and setting up defence industry in India.

“Not only that India is a substantial market but because the way we are placed regionally we can become a hub for exports to the rest of the region,” Gokhale said.

Modi said when Indians come to the US, they not only bring their talent and capacity to innovate, capacity to excel but also they are imbued with democratic values. “And in that context the Prime Minister expressed hope that this would be the approach that US might take when it looks at the whole issue of the H-1B visa,” Gokhale said.

Pence acknowledged that India had made substantial progress economically as well as diplomatically in regional and international affairs, Gokhale said.

Pence felt that India is a positive factor in regional and international relations and said the US looks forward to working with India on various issues to ensure that “we have a fair rules-based international order”.

India-US bilateral trade was USD 74.5 billion in 2017-18, up from USD 64.5 billion in the previous year.

No pressure on India to buy F-16 or any other defence system: US

Published

The United States is not going to put pressure on India to buy F-16 fighter jets or any other defence system, a senior US diplomat has said here.

United States Consul General in Mumbai Edgard Kagan said India has purchased more than USD 15 billion worth of American defence materials and the US is “very proud” of the expanding defence ties between the two countries.

Asked if there was a threat of the US imposing trade sanctions on India after its multi-billion deal with Russia for the S-400 air-defence system, he did not give a direct answer.

“The idea that the US is going to pressure India to buy the F-16 or any other system is not true. We believe that American military systems bring tremendous capability to India or any other country which buys that.

“But we recognise that India makes its decisions on its own grounds,” he told PTI in an interview here.

Kagan said it was important to recognise that decisions have consequences and India was very well aware where the US stands on a variety of issues. There are also matters that both countries can work closely to resolve, he said.

India recently concluded a USD 5 billion deal to buy the S-400 air defence missile system from Russia which could attract US sanctions under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) instituted by the US Congress on arms purchases from Moscow.

American lawmakers, however, have allowed the possibility of a presidential waiver.

Kagan said the US is “very proud” of the expanding defence partnership with India.

“The fact is that India has purchased over USD 15 billion worth of American defence materials and there hasn’t been one hint of a scandal.

“There hasn’t been one suggestion of any impropriety and that’s very significant. The American defence procurement are transparent… All details are published on the US site,” he said.

This gives certainty to the people buying American products, the US consul general said.

“When you compare the track record of the C-17 purchases for instance, or C-130 purchases, which were all done on budget, on time and in a very transparent way without a single hint of impropriety with many other defence procurement, the difference is quite striking,” he said.

The C-17 and the C-130 are US-made cargo aircraft.

Asked about the Indian government directing social media platforms to take concrete steps to check spread of rumours and messages inciting unrest, cyber crimes and other activities that could jeopardise national security, he said putting restrictions is no solution.

“I would be very concerned trying to restrict speech either on social media or anywhere else. The challenge is only to make sure that you understand the consequences of their actions.

“The solution to me can’t be to control social media because inevitably the speech that we don’t like also means trying to prevent the speech that brings change,” he said.

Kagan said India has done very well since independence in terms of ensuring freedom of speech, and having a free and vibrant press.

“If we start restricting people from social media its a very short stand. The important thing is to recognise people, need to take responsibility for what they do, to recognise the dangers and the risks of the abuse of this and we all have to recognise social media is like a knife we use,” he said.

Kagan said if tools like social media are created to power our lives, inevitably the risk of cutting ourselves is higher.

“But I don’t think it means we want a blunt knife or no knife at all,” he said.

Killings go unabated in Kashmir ! Will the Indo Pak bilateral talks succeed ?

Published

on

Read Time: 4 minutes

Sounds extremely shocking and hypocritical that on the one hand the Indian BSF trooper Narendra Kumar is brutally killed and his body mutilated by the Pakistani rangers across the International line of control with not a single word of condemnation/ apology coming from the Pakistan’s PM but instead a letter coming from him for a bilateral foreign ministers’ dialogue on terrorism at the UNGA summit precincts in Geneva on 24th of September. Even last night three special police officers have been shockingly eliminated in Kashmir by the Pak sponsered terrorits.

Though the Indian government has taken Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s initiative for the resumption of bilateral dialogue in all earnestness Pakistan should not forget that any dialogue between both the countries could not prove fruitful until Pakistan asks its military bosses to stop the unprovoked firing at the LOC and takes credible initiatives in stopping harnessing terror organisations who’ve been creating havoc in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir killing hundreds of innocents and Indian army n paramilitary troopers.

While India has agreed for the foreign minister mutual dialogue with Pakistan on the sidelines of SAARC meeting at UNGA on 24th September with India foreign minister Sushma Swaraj likely to leave for Geneva it’s quite satisfying to note that the Indian side has not changed its hard stance on terrorism asking Pakistan to give up supporting and abetting terror outfits like Laskare Tayyeba and Jaish E Mohammed, sneaking its hard core terrorists in India territory killing innocents and stop breaching the ceasefire agreements between both the countries.

It may be recalled that the invitation for constructive engagement between both the countries started for the very first time from Indian side when the prime minister Narendra Modi sent a letter to Imran Khan after his swearing in as the PM of Pakistan and it’s in response to that letter that his counterpart in Pakistan responded for the foreign ministers dialogue.

The bilateral peace talks were snubbed/ stopped between Pakistan n India after the unprovoked attack by the Pakistani aided and abetted hard core terrorists in the Army camp in Uri Sector last year followed by the surgical strike of the India Army destroying hundreds of terrorist launch pads n killing terrorits in the Pak territory across the LOC.

It’s anguishing to note that about 400 or more armymen n para military troopers have been martyred since the last four years or more due to the misadventures and cross firing from Pakistani side and through unprovoked terror attacks from Pak sponsered terrorits in Jammu and Kashmir.

There have been shocking more than 1500 violations of peace pact from the Pakistan”‘s side, even annoying the US president Donald Trump who’d declared Pakistan a terror state blocking its defence aid worth 300 million US dollars and reprimanding it number of times for openly running and sponsering terror sanctuaries in its territory creating havoc in Afghanistan, India n other parts of the world.

After winning the elections in Pakistan Imran Khan has made friendship initiatives towards India by saying that if India puts one step forward Pakistan will put two steps forward but unfortunately the PTI government completely under the influence and grip of the ISI and Pakistan Military could not stop cross border unprovoked firing n killings of the innocents on the Indian side even after assuming office.

This hypocricy sounds highly distressing. While lot of significance is being given to the foreign ministers dialogue between India and Pakistan after the closure of the deliberations two years ago, it remains to be seen what credible outcome arrives out of this meeting in Geneva? The crux of the whole story is that unless or until the Pak leadership( does not ) come out of the grip of its military and iSI n acts independently to stop aiding n abetting terrorit sanctuaries in their own land and stop cross border firings n killings, India and Pakistan can never settle their scores n would continue the blame game as usual to further the political interests to remain in power misguiding its people on anti India and anti Pakistan plank.

But the major responsibility lies on Imran Khan as it’s his country primarily which believes in destruction and killings at the expense of the development of its people.

Today it’s a country with a begging bowl in its hand burdened with the fiscal deficits of 30 thousand Arab dollars likely on the brink of economic disater while India is flourishing with progress and prosperity.

RAHUL POSTS PM’S OLD VEDIO ON TWITTER, TO COUNTER HIM, WHEN THE RUPEE HAS COME DOWN TO ALL TIME LOW

Read Time: 3 minutes

The Congress president Rahul Gandhi while expressing his serious concern and equally ridiculing the prime minister Narendra Modi on the poor condition of the value of Indian rupee to US dollar having come to its all time low at Rs 70 , had posted his (PM’s) video on his twitter handle on 14th August, when the latter was the chief minister of Gujarat casting serious aspersions on the then prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during the UPA regime when the Rupee fell down against the dollar.

Rahul Gandhi has in his tweet addressing Narendra Modi as the Supreme leader written: The Indian # Rupee just gave the Supreme leader, a vote of NO confidence, crashing to a historic low. Listen to the Supreme Leader’s master voice on economics in this video, where he explains why the Rupee is tanking.

However there is no response or rebuttal on this tweet till now by any senior BJP leader or functionery.

Only the Economic Secretary of the government of India has issued a statement saying that nothing to worry about the falling of the rupee as its due to the external international factors.

The vedio posted by Rahul Gandhi is of Narendra Modi when he was extensively campaigning during the national elections in 2014 castigating the then UPA 2 government and its prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh about the falling Rupee in the international market to the US dollar. Modi had then slammed Manmohan Singh for downslide of the Rupee due to acute corruption in the UPAgovernment.

In the video Modi had said in Hindi: Jis prakar se dollar majboot hota ja raha hai, rupaya kamzor hota ja raha hai, vishwa vyapar mein Bharat tik nahin payega. Hamare vyapari maal bahar bhejte hain, maal bahar se laate hain, wo iss bojh ko sah nahin payenge. Even Bharat sarkar jo cheezein laati hai, bhejti hai usko sahna mushkil ho jayega (The way dollar is getting stronger, rupee is getting weaker, it will become difficult for India stay in global business. Our traders export some articles, they import some other articles.

They cannot bear this burden. It will become difficult for even the Indian government to import and export articles),” said Narendra Modi.

But now , after the Indian Rupee has gone down to its all time low against dollar, the BJP leadership which had been talking so much about the economic growth reaching to 8% has no answer to the Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s tweet say the Congress man.

Rahul Gandhi had been speaking loud and clear about the Rafale deal, bank frauds, crony capitalism, inflation, unemployment and farmers’ suicides in his various public meetings in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and even in Parliament during the no confidence motion.

Now the issue of Rupee coming down to otsall time low against dollar in the global market has given one more significant point to the opposition to target the ruling BJP led NDA more stringently and strongly.

His first time pronouncement of PM Narendra Modi as the Supreme leader, as Kim is called in North Korea is something that sounds unique and different. In his past speeches he had branded Modi as arrogant and autocratic as well.

The tweet with the PM’s video elicited about 20 thousand likes, 8,494 retweets and 2,500 comments.

Terror organisations supporting Imran’s party, PAKISTAN TEHRIKE INSAF PARTY

While the general elections in Pakistan are slated for 25th July the hard core terrorist organisations registered in the United States of America and the UN lists and marked as the most dangerous terror outfits like the Jammat-UL – Dawa, Harkal-UL – Mujhahideen, Lashkare Tayyeba are making their candidates’ contest in the election fray under various other registered organisations as terror outfits such as Jamait- Ul-Dawa etc have not been recognised by the election commission and are hence not eligible to contest under their orginal banners.

After the arrest of the former Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharief, his daughter Mariam and son in law on various corruption charges, such as amassing huge wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income and arbitrary purchase of four mansions in United Kingdom, the Tehrik- E- Insaaf Party led by the former Pakistan cricket captain Imran Khan seems to have an upper hand in these elections. Imran Khan and his party have been trying their level best since last several years to achieve power in Pakistan but had so far been unsuccessful but political analysts say that his party Tehrik- e- Insaaf do have an edge this time likely to win at the hustings.

According to reports pouring in the hard core terrorist organisation responsible for several killings in Pakistan, India, US and other countries of the globe namely Harkat UL Mujhahideen has openly declared their support to the Tehrike Insaaf Party of Imran Khan and his vice president Asad Umer , a close confidante of Khan. According to the report of a senior journalist Imtiaz Ahmed based in Islamabad published in today’s HT the US designate global terrorist having links with Al Qaeda and the founder of Harkat Ul Mujahiddeen Fazrul Rehman Khalil has openly declared that he and his terror outfit would fully support the Tehrike Insaf Party in the upcoming elections. According to a post by the vice president of PTI ( Pakisan’s Tehrike Insaaf Party) Asad Umar which was later on withdrawn when problems erupted out of this post, the founder of Harkat Ul Mujahideen has joined the PTI alongwith hundredsof his followers and clerics who will tirelessly work for the victory of Asad Umar and his party contesting from the Islamabad parliamentary seat. The post further said that Khalil will work hard to make Pakistan a truly democratic state.

According to the report: this development arrives close on the heels of members of several terror outfits and groups including the most infamous Jamaat Ul Dawa contesting the July 25 general elections under the banner of Allah ho Akbar Tehreek as the Pakistan EChas not recognised JUD under the pressure from the Pak administration and UnitedStates of America. The notorious terrorist Fazrul Rehman khalil currently leads Ansar Ul Umma the front terror organisation of HUM declared fully illegal and marked as an international terror organisation in 2014. The US had declared khalil as aglobal terrorist responsible for terror attacks and several killings in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Khalil has direct links with the Pak ISI n military and is in contact with several terror groups of Pakistan as well as the signatory with Osamabinladin in a declaration for global jihad in 1996.

Just imagine how freely the most wanted and highly dangerous terrorists are participating in the democratic elections in Pakistan despite the United State’s open and stringent warnings to its political leadership to stop this but ofno awail. In case these representatives of these terror outfits win the elections and enter the Pak parliament they would without fail and by all means pressurise the Pak rulers for their more severe anti India stance than arriving at peaceful resolution of the vexed Kashmir problem. Trump and Kim made history. How would China react, remains to be seen?

The historic summit between the US president Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kum Jong Un resulting in the end of all hostlities thus opening the door for denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula and the possible withdrawal of 28000 American troops from the South Korean soil has undoubtedly opened the door for a new chapter of peace and long lasting friendship between the two nations who were at loggerheads for the last 65 years threatening each other of deadly nucleur attacks.

The openess and cordiality with which both the leaders met and deliberated at Singapore and thereafter signed agreements n letters of understanding to pursue peace, tranquility and denuclearisation of the Korean Penninsula is something never ever expected even in distant dreams as just few months ago each of them were the harshest enemy of each other openly taking pledges to destroy one another to the fnish, with nuclear armaments n warfare.

At one point of time, when North Korea executed spree of nuclear tests over Japan sea hinting that it can destroy US anytime with its nuclear ICBMs things had taken a very ugly turn with Trump literally announcing of strongly attacking North Korea with heavy bombardments in retaliation to Kim’s repeated threats.

North Korea was the only country in the world having faced cumulative sanctions at the behest of United States and the UN having been totally isolated with only a single ally mighty China.

North Korea’s total commerce and financial deals were met by the dragon and inprinciple both of them were the ardent foes of US and its allies.

The deep rooted enmity between North Korea and the United States of America had the roots in the 65 year old history when North Korea arbitarily attacked South Korea killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people including its military personels capturng Seoul.

It was then in 1943 that the United States of America came to the fullest rescue of South Korea and attacked North Korea with the support of 21 other nations of the world literally destroying it and pushing back the North Korean soldiers out of South Korea.

The US attack was so powerful that the North Korea was in rubble with 60000 heavy bombs bombarded on its periphery.

Since then the relations between North Korea and South Korea backed by the US had been bitterly soured with the latter stationing its 28000 troops on the South Korea borders safeguarding it from any possible future attacks from North Korea.

As a result there had been no diplomatic relations between them and Kim Jong Un had only one objective in mind i.e. nuclearly arming itself and posing direct challenge to South Korea, Japan, US and its allies by way of carrying out number of nuclear tests from its soil and directly threatening US of possible nucleur attacks in the near future.

In retaliation the US president Donald Trump has pledged to destroy North Korea by heavy bombardments.

And later on , though slowly but steadily the efforts of the US secretary of state Pompeo and the South Korean president Moon brought fruitful results.

Finally Kim Jong Un agreed for the friendly relations between North and South Korea and shook hands of friendship with him.

A month ago Kim went to China twice and met Xi jingping. His miraculous change of heart and mind for reconciliation and agreeing to meet his permanent foe whom he once pronounced as the” MENTALLY DERANGED U S DOTARD” , whom Trump threatened to destroy fully has shocked and astonished the entire world.

Finally both the arch enemies met, shook hands, appreciated each other and vowed to start a new chapter of peace and prosperity between both the nations once each other’s harsh enemies.

The over confident and generous gesture of US president Donald Trump welcoming Kim Jong Un with open arms and assuring him of full economical and commerce support to build a new and prosperous North Korea and also agreeing to withdaw 28000 troops from South Korea equally expecting complete destruction of nuclear arsenals from Kim Jong Un including extending him invitation to visit White House in the near future compounded with assurances to visit North Korea has definitely opened the doors for future negotiations leading to a pemanent shutting of an environment of harsh animosity between both of them.

How China reacts to these developments in the near future, however, remains to be seen. What’s your take friends?
