DHARMADESH CONVENTION OF SAINTS AT TALKATORA STADIUM, NEW DELHI WHIC DEMANDED BRINGING OF LEGISLATION OR ORDINANCE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF RAM TEMPLE
Read Time: 5 minutes

The emergence of all of a sudden cumulative voices by the BJP leaders and its frontal organisations including its saffron offshoots in favour of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, despite the vexed matter being in the apex court, particularly at the time when the elections in the five states are going to polls this month and the 2019 general elections just eight months ahead, it has become absolutely unambiguous that Ram Temple would be the Bhartiya Janata Party’s core issue in the general election as the ruling party dispensation is badly in the dock on issues like corruption, Rafale, unemployment, agrarian distress, prise rise in petro products, CBI crisis and inflation etc.

The top leadership of the ruling party and the prime minister Narendra Modi has though tried their best to increase the MSP on food grains/ crops, easy sanctioning of loans up to Rs one crores to the medium and small enterprises and assurance of jobs to the youths of the country including insurance to countrymen to the tune of Rs 5 lakhs, free distribution of LPG gas connections, contruction of lakhs of toilets, opening of crores of Jan Dhan accounts etc but nothing seems to have been practically implemented on the ground till yet say political analysts as was expected .

The controvertially hyped Rafale Jet Fighter Deal and the CBI controversy most eloquently and vociferously raised and exposed by the Congress and the non BJP opposition parties, especially the Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has infact dominated the so called achievements and populist measures of the BJP government at the centre and in the states ruled by the saffron parties.

Currently, the BJP ruled states like Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh where the saffron party is in power for more three terms in continuity except Rajasthan and suffering from acute anti incumbency factors due to corruption, inefficiency, non performance, scams like Vyapan etc, and the heightened Maoist problem having claimed several innocent lives of mediamen, security forces and civilians , the ruling party dispensations in these states are trying hard to play with the religious sentiments of the electorates by again popularising the Ram temple construction issue, dear to everyone, with an apparent pre strategic move to influence them , score re victories and achieve power but the fact remains that out of these three states the BJP seems likely to loose in two states for sure.

If one sees the sequence of the statements and events of BJP high ups and its various off shoots and the parent organisation RSS including organisation of the saints after and before the decision of supreme court it becomes absolutely unambiguous that the entire politics of BJP in future is based on the Ram Temple issue.

The two day DHARMADESH convention of all the prominent Hindu saints numbering in hundreds held in Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium renting the air with Ram Mandir supportive slogans, have unanimously passed a resolution for the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, come what may. The unanimous decision of the Dharmadesh is that the government should immediately bring a legislation or ordinance to construct Ram Temple at Ayodhya. Nothing less than this would be accepted to them said their resolution apart from other demands like expulsion of illegal Bangladeshies and muslim Rohingya immigrats from India.

The union minister of BJP Giriraj Kishore Singh has openly said that the apex court is testing the already frayed tempers of the majority community and is delaying the verdict on this vexed issue of Ram Mandir construction in Ayodhya thus allegedly disrespecting the majority sentiments.

The saffron clad devout hindu Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath has appealed to the hindus of the country to visit Ayodhya on the day of Deepawali and light a lamp in honour of Lord Rama in order to express their undaunted solidarity to the cause of Ram Temple construction at the disputed site.

He has also sanctioned a proposal for the construction of the biggest statue of Lord Rama in the world costing whopping Rs. 775 crores and being as high as 201 metres, even more in height than the recently built Sardar’s statue in Gujarat.

Just a few days ago the RSS chief while addressing the swayam sewaks at Nagpur had publicly demanded from the union government to introduce a legislation on the Ram Temple in order to construct it at Ayodhya at the earliest backed and outrightly supported by the BJP leaders, Sant samaj, various off shoots of the party and the saffron supporters all over the country n the globe.

The conclusion is that the saffron party and the government seems to be quite serious this time to bring a legislation in the winter session of parliament in order to get it ratified by both the houses of parliament and in case the bill is not passed it may resort to the ordinance route to prove its honesty on the Ram Temple cause which has been lagging behind for the last 26 years since 1992 after the demolition of Babri Masjid.

Since the incoming session of the parliament would be too vociferous and action/ uproar oriented, hence bringing of legislation on Ram Temple construction to sideline important controversies like the Rafale and CBI imbroglios will be a better bet for the ruling party which seems to be in the defensive at present.
