Major technological changes of the past decade

We live in the age of technology, where innovation is everything. It’s a constantly changing process of developing the new and the better. As such, the past decade showed us a lot of changes, which impacted our life and lifestyle to a major degree.
Here we are going to see a few of these changes- the major technology changes in the past decade –

AIRPODS

Apple has been an innovation giant for years now. In 2016, it once again shook up the world with the introduction of wireless headphones. AirPods are now as popular as the iPhones and that is saying something.

SMARTPHONES

While smartphones existed before this past decade, they were nowhere near this advanced. Dozens of big names on-field and fierce competition egged on better and better versions of the devices. Every year, new versions with new features were announced. Each version much more innovative and convenient to use than its predecessor. At present, there is hardly we can’t do on these compact computers in our hands!

VIRTUAL HOME ASSISTANTS

Who doesn’t know ‘Alexa’? This virtual assistant can do almost anything you ask- from telling the weather to play your favorite music. You just need to speak and it’s done! This wasn’t possible a decade ago and what’s more- amazon Echo is only one of the many virtual home assistants available in the market. And they all have a number of unique features. Really, what a time to be alive.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

AI advanced through leaps and bounds this past decade. Though we still have a long way to way in this field, things are looking much brighter than they did 10 years ago.

4G NETWORKS

High quality devices need high quality network and this decade gave us exactly that. 2010 brought with it a new decade as well a stronger network. 4G made our lives more convenient with its higher speed and cost-efficiency.

AUTOMATIC AND ELECTRIC CARS

Though still in a developing stage, this past decade made it possible for us to travel in electric and automatic cars. The front-runners of this innovation are no doubt Google and Tesla, but other companies aren’t that far behind either. It is safe to say that we can expect better things in the future.

E-COMMERCE

PayPal and Paytm, among many other apps, made our lives much easier this year. Now instead of struggling with cash payments, we can just pay directly through these apps and be on our merry way! It saves a lot of time and if done cautiously, is also a safe method of money-keeping.
