The most shameful, horrendous, gruesome, brutal, obnoxious and heinous rape and subsequent murder of a mere eight year old girl Asifa in Kathua few month ago by some human beasts is a dark blot on our nation and humanity and symbolises the spate of such intolerable acts of adolocents still continuing in other parts of the country with no control to curb them and stringently bring the culprits to justice.

The brutal rape and horrendous murder of an innocent girl in Kathua, Kashmir is an unpardonable act that deserves no less than a capital punishment so as to send across a message of strong deterrent for hardened criminals and psycopaths who have no respect for the law of the land and are least terrorised by the police authorities and law enforcing agencies.

After the 2013 gang rape of an innocent paramedics in a running bus in Vasant Vihar Delhi that shook the entire country, a heinous rape cum murder of an Uttarakhandi girl in Najafgarh with 21 deep wounds, hundreds of such obnoxious incidents did occured thereafter but what happened in Kathua with this eight year old innocent girl is something that has shattered the entire system and humanity thus sending shivers, down the spine of every sensible, right thinking and peace loving citizens including the women community all over the country that comprises of half of the country’s population.

But despite all this, what makes the situation even more ironical, worse and shocking is the fact that the fundamentalist forces are trying to give the entire episode a communal colour to save the culprits who raped the girl in the temple premises and thereafter brutally murdering her and throwing the body in the forests.

Even the politicians and lawyers are trying to give the issue a communal colour and resorting to violence thus allegedly trying to not only safeguard the cuprits but also leading to divide the society on communal lines.

Even the state police force which is doing its duty impartially with the task force taking the cudgels of investigations in its own hands, these communal elements under the guise of communal forums are perpetrating violence and creating bottlenecks in the way of the probe.

So far about seven culprits including two policemen are behind bars and the case in under hearing process. The situation has assumed such a critical turn that the family members and the woman lawyer appearing on behalf of the victim’s family are being intimidated, threatened and stopped to appear in the state high court where the matter is being heard.

The lawyers in Jammu shockingly, instead of favouring the impartial investigations are siding with a particular majority community thus giving the entire episode a communal colour.

Number of fact finding women teams comprising of women activists and advocates from Delhi have in their report few weeks ago in a press confetence at PCI blamed a regional communal forum of the majority community of trying to communalise the situation in Kathua and other parts of the state in order to intimidate and influence the state police and the investigating agencies to help the culprits go scot free. The women organisations have strongly condemned this dastardly act of the gruesome rape and murder of the 8 year old Kathua girl and demanded death for the culprits.

One should not forget that hardened criminals and human beasts do not have any respect for humanity and the law of the land , they are just parasites in the society. They should not be viewed with leniency but should be dealt with severely as per the stringent laws of the land. After all what’s the fault of innocent adolocents, girls or women who are so vulnerable in the society that they are the repeated victims of their incessant onslaughts.

Giving or trying to give communal colour to such incidents is the greatest sin as no law of the land give us right to protect such heinous offenders on religious or caste lines. Crime is after all a crime and the law should take its own course to deal with the perpetrators of these horrendous crimes. What do you say friends?
