He is like my bachcha: Jackie Shroff on working with Salman Khan

Salman Khan is a lucky chap. He has ben able to romance not just Karisma Kapoor on screen but also took Kareena Kapoor Khan in his arms when it comes to movies. The actor has worked with every generation and is set to work with Alia Bhatt in Inshallah. The actress was just a kid when Salman was a full-fledged actor.

Jackie Shroff, who is working with Salman in the upcoming movie Bharat, went on to call the superstar his ‘bachcha’. Jackie also mentioned that even though he and Salman began their career together, Jackie has no qualms in playing Salman’s father on screen.

The Ram-Lakhan actor told Mid-Day, “I am aware that the age gap is only 10 years. We started our careers almost around the same time, but I don’t have any problem playing his father. I have always treated Salman like my bachcha. Even today, he is like a kid to me.”

He added, “I remember, [in our early days], he would admire my jeans and shoes.” He also justified his role saying, “I played Kareena Kapoor’s father in Yaadein in 2001, and a few years back, I did it with Aamir [Khan] in Dhoom 3 (2013). If the character is good and I am convinced about it, other factors don’t matter to me.”

Not only Jackie Shroff and Salman Khan, their upcoming movie Bharat also stars Disha Patani, Tabu, Nora Fatehi, Katrina Kaif and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. The Eid release is directed byTiger Zinda Hai helmer Ali Abbas Zafar and will also see Varun Dhawan in a cameo appearance.
