Real estate is costly no matter where you are in the world. After all owning a land in 21st century isn’t that easy! But some places have real estate prices that touch the sky… don’t believe us? Check these out –

Owning a place in Hong Kong is really expensive as the average property price can go up to INR 9, 44, 75,801. Yes you read that right… almost 10 crore Indian rupees for a space to call your own in this World City of Asia. Consequently, you need to pay as much as INR 1, 59,945 per square foot on average.

The average property price in Singapore is INR 6, 68, 76,342 that is almost 7 crores with the average cost per square foot being INR 81,303. A much lower estimate than the figures Hong Kong showed but pricey nevertheless and why not. Singapore is one of the top Global cities after all.

The biggest city of China and a financial hub, Shanghai isn’t that far behind Singapore when it comes to real estate prices. The average property price in Shanghai is INR 6, 67, 06,829 with average price per square foot being INR 54,634.

One of the most diverse cities in Canada, Vancouver is the only city in our top 5 costliest real estate markets in the world, that is not in Asia, or rather predominantly Chinese in population. The average property price in Vancouver is INR 6, 22, 74,294.

A modern metropolis situated in South-eastern China, Shenzhen is known for its shopping destinations and is a prominent economic zone. Its average property price is INR 5, 19, 75,321 with the average price per square foot being INR 55,468, a bit higher than Shanghai.

Apart from these 5 places there are a number of others known for their sky-high real estate prices as well. These places include- American city of Los Angeles with average property price of over INR 5 Crore; New York with the almost the same average price as Los Angeles with a difference of just a few lakhs; London with the average of INR 4 crore and 94 lakh; Chinese capital of Beijing with the average property price at INR 4 Crore and 80 lakh and Paris with INR 4 Crore and 77 lakh average property price.
