The entire opposition today demanded Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s resignation from his post on moral grounds for the 150 deaths majorly of children in Bihar, in the state assembly session.

The chief minister was taken to task and accused for completely failing to save the precious lives of 150 children who died of total negligence and due to inappropriate medical care suffering from dreaded encephalitis.

The chief minister was in the centre of controversy because of these deaths of innocent poor children not only in India but globally who were not only compelled to die of lack of adequate treatment but were also devoid of appropriate timely treatment due to non availability of relevant medicines, senior doctors in the wards, unhygienic hospital conditions and serving of rotten fruits and meals.

Bihar’s government hospitals, particularly the one in Mujaffarpur which recorded maximum deaths were visited by the union minister of health Dr. Harsh Vardhan and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s but after two weeks when there was tremendous media hype and increasing exposure of the deteriorating health system of Bihar.

Even a children died in front of the union health minister when he visited the Mujaffarpur government hospital to supervise the arrangements and the treatment being given to the children suffering from encephalitis.

The entire media of the country has exposed the worsening and badly deteriorating health system in Bihar which is being run by the JD Nitish Kumar and BJP combine.

The condition of over more than one hundred primary health centres and majority of the government hospitals is in jeopardy with the poor patients suffering the most.

Till now exclusively in Bihar about 1000 children had died in the last few years due to encephalitis and other dresses during summers but of no avail.

Thanks to the fourth estate which took a serious note of these shocking deaths of 150 children and exposed the government of Bihar and even the central regime of exhibiting laxity in controlling these encephalitis deaths. THE entire non BJP and JD Nitish opposition took the CM Nitish Kumar’s to task and sought his resignation on moral grounds.

THE chief minister however said that the situation is now under control and assured that his government would do to best to modernise and improve the condition of Bihar hospitals to ensure the these encephalitis deaths do no re – occur in the nervous future. Sounds shocking.

There was a time when the then railway minister during Nehru Indira era and Madhav Rao Scindia HD resigned owning moral responsibility for the train accidents occurred during their tenure but today even after the death of 150 children, due to the incompetent government and health system of Bihar it’s chief minister and the health minister shamelessly keep themselves stuck to their chairs not gathering a courage to exhibit decency to resign.

This unambiguously vindicates that political power is more dear to these power hungry politicians than showing courage to resign on moral grounds?

According to a veteran journalists and renowned columnist Talveen Singh had such massive deaths of children occured in any foreign country, the national government would have collapsed.

But this is India and such incompetence and failures by those in power hardly sjake the politicians moral.  What’s your take friends?
