Forty die in fatal bus and car accidents in Kishtwar, J& K and Chamoli, Garhwal, Uttarakhand

Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand have today witnessed two major fatal accidents of a bus and car which fell in a gorge killing 35 and 5 persons respectively and severely injuring 17 passengers.

While the bus carrying good number of passengers from Keshwan to Kishtwar fell in the deep gorge after the driver lost the control of the bus killing 35 passengers and severely injuring 17 others, in Chamoli Uttarakhand a car carrying 5 persons including a driver died on the spot after their car got imbalanced due to speed and fell into a gorge killing all the five on the spot succumbing to grievous injuries.
The president Ram Nath Kovind,  prime minister Narendra Modi and the union home minister Amit Shah has tweeted expressing immence grief over the sad incident and expressing their condolences to the bereaved families of those killed in the Kishtwar bus accident.
The president of India Ram Nath Kovind tweeted : Extremely sad to learn about the loss of lives in the tragic bus accidents in Kishtwar Jammu and Kashmir and Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
My condolences to the bereaved families and wishing an early recovery for those injured.
The prime minister Narendra Modi in his tweet termed the accident as heart wrenching while expressing his shock.
The PM tweeted : The accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar is heart wrenching. We mourn all those who lost their lives and express condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover at the earliest.
The union home minister Amit Shah tweeted : Extremely saddened to learn about the loss of lives due to the road accident in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir.
My deepest condolences to the families of thosewho lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of those injured.
The accident that occured in Malari Motor Road at Joshimath in  district Chamoli Garhwal was most heart wrenching as well,  as all those killed were young boys in their twenties and  thirties returning home after witnessing and participating in the Neeti valley cricket tournament at the last village of Garhwal, Uttarakhand at Indo China border.
