Hi there! Looking for something new to watch? Don’t worry- we got you! To fight the boredom of this monotonous life we present to you 10 dramas you absolutely can’t miss. Now you may as well ask what’s so good about these particular shows… the answer is variety. All the 10 dramas we are recommending you today have vastly different concepts and storylines. After all variety is the spice of life.

So without further ado, let us begin with our list of 10 Asian dramas you can’t miss –

THE UNTAMEDSee the source image

This super popular Chinese drama was released just last year and boasts of an intriguing storyline alongside well-written characters and talented actors to bring these characters to life. It has 50 episodes in total but believe me you won’t even realize it- yes the execution and flow is that good.

HOTEL DEL LUNASee the source image

I seriously love this one- Hotel Del Luna aired in 2019 has 16 episodes and is one of the few stories that everyone will like regardless of their tastes. There are many reasons for that- amazing storyline and concept, great background music and OST and of course the presence of a super talented star cast which includes IU, one of the most well-known Korean artists.

W: TWO WORLDSSee the source image

If you haven’t seen W: two Worlds, you are seriously missing out on a lot. The music, the plot and the actors (especially the male lead) are all really good and in all 16 episodes, you won’t encounter a single dull moment. I mean this show is actually one of the most popular Korean dramas ever and once, you see it, you will agree.

MOONLIGHT DRAWN BY CLOUDSSee the source image

A simple love story set in the Joseon Dynasty- Moonlight Drawn by Clouds or Love in the Moonlight is one of my personal favorites. Since it tells the love story between a commoner and a royalty, there is of course lots of dramas and conspiracies, but the serious elements can never outweigh its light-hearted comic and romantic moments. It is a really good watch, especially if you like happy endings.

LOVE O2OSee the source image

We included this one in our list of must-watch Asian Rom-Coms too, but we can’t just emphasize how watch and re-watch worthy this particular drama is. Aired in 2016, this Chinese drama weaves a simple and cute love story without any unnecessary drama… and it has video games too! The simple moments between the two leads are to die for and I love how realistic the story and characterizations were.

1 Litre of Tears

Honestly, this one is for those who like to cry… this tear-jerking drama from Japan, aired in 2005 has just 11 episodes but make sure to keep at least two boxes of tissues ready before you click play. 1 litre of tears is based on a true story of a 15 year old girl Aya who is suffers from Spinocerebellar Degeneration.See the source image
It is a rare disease with no cure and affects the part of the brain responsible for motor functions like walking, swallowing and even breathing. How she comes to terms with her condition and the effect it has on her family and friends, is what the drama is about.

It is heart-breaking but inspiring at the same time and the fact that the main source of story is the real diary of the person who actually went through everything, just makes it much more heart-wrenching. But when all is said and done I would recommend everyone to watch it since it gives us a really valuable lesson. What is this lesson is something you will have to find by yourself, till then, happy watching!
