Happy Birthday Aishwarya Rai: The ‘Miss World’ who made us Proud!

Frequently termed “the most beautiful woman in the world” in media, Rai has been worshipped throughout her career for her green eyes, incandescent skin and her characteristic nazakat. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the ninth most gorgeous woman in the world. She fearlessly dominated the International circuits and became one of the earliest actors to represent Indian Cinema on the global map. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turns 45 on November 1, Thursday. But beyond the glitz and the glamour she’s surrounded by, and the aura and magnetism she seamlessly carries with her, there’s a fine performer beneath that alluring exterior.

She is a Padma Shri awardee and has also been honoured with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French government in 2012. In 2003, she achieved another milestone, becoming the first Indian actress to be a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.

18 years back, when Aishwarya shooting for the film Aa Ab Laut Chalein, Ranbir was the assistant director. Aishwarya turned muse for Ranbir as he tried painting her.
In January, 2018,a 29-year-old man from Andhra Pradesh, India, suddenly started claiming that Aishwarya Rai is his mother and gave birth to him in 1988. Interestingly, Aishwarya was just 15-years-old in 1988.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, regarded as the turning point in Aishwarya’s career, this Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, saw the talented actress as a girl torn between her values and love. Nandini’s transformation from carefree, free spirited girl into a determined and vulnerable married woman was brilliantly played by Rai. She made us laugh with her antics and made us cry with her desperation to find Sameer. Rai won Filmfare Best actress award for the movie.
The actress had her first screen kiss with actor Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 in 2006. When Amitabh Bachchan caught Aishwarya with Hrithik Roshan in the incandescent lip-lock scene, the atmosphere suddenly changed. Bachchan was called for an exclusive preview at Yash Raj Studios. He asked to remove the scene from the film.
Aishwarya and Abhishek’s first meeting took place in the film ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’ set in 2000. At that time, Aishwarya was dating someone else and Abhishek was just a good friend. Proximity between the two increased during the shoot of Guru film. Aishwarya’s smiling face and nature attracted Abhishek.  Abhishek proposed her in the Toronto premiere of ‘Guru’ film. Aishwarya accepted the proposal immediately.
