In this materialistic world when nobody has time for anybody, there is one selfless teacher, wedded to the cause of upgrading the socio educational standards of extremely poor, hapless n deprived children who are either parentless, have no source of income, constrained to beg in the society for survival or penniless.

Such outstanding human beings with generosity, compassion and will to do something incredible for these worst lots of the society in the eyes of people are seldom seen or found.

But yes we have one extraordinary example in Srinagar, Garhwal, Uttarakhand, a teacher by profession namely Sangeeta Faraasi.

This outstanding woman with exceptional commitment n dedication goes in the MALEEN BASTIES, the localities at the lowest ebb n enthuses children of the poorest of poor classes to learn reading n writing so as to become a credible citizen of the country tomorrow and stand at par with the educated, rich n affluents by the dint of their hard work, maximum education and knowledge.

Can anybody believe that teacher Sangeeta Faraasi with limited resources based in Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal has so far helped freed 10 students of the beggers families and get them addmitted in local schools.

She educates these poorest of the poor children for two hours every evening free of costs voluntarily.

She had also organised a summer camp for the children of these marginalised and economic deprived classes in which she imparts them educative training in vocational skills as well.

In the summer camp she teaches the children and tiny tots about craft, drawing, singing, nukkad naataks and paintings to generate interest in them towards extra co currical activities and also entice them towards reading n writing.

This small summer camp will continue for a week from 31st June to 6th june and good number of poor children are being brought here for training in skills n other curricular activities. Besides these camps Mrs Sangeeta Farasi also gives free tutions to the poor student for every two hours daily and is a regular feature. We salute her noble endeavour and hope that other teachers will also follow suit.
