The Congress president Rahul Gandhi today while addressing a press conference came down heavily on the prime minister Narendra Modi accusing him of bypassing the ministry of defence in the Rafale deal inorder to benefit Anil Ambani n his company.

This has now become crystal clear after the startling revelations made by The Hindu newspaper’s report publishing the MOD letter written by deputy secretary ( Air 2) Mr. S. K. Sharma written on November 24th, 2015 in which it has been clearly mentioned in point 5 that such parallel discussions by the PMO has weakened the negotiating position of MOD and the Indian negotiating team.

The letter adds: We may advise the PMO that any officers who are not part of Indian Negotiating Team may refrain from having parallel parleys with the officers of French government.

The letter even said: In case the PMO is not confident about the outcome of the negotiations being carried out by the MOD, a revised modality of the negotiations to be led by PMO at appropriate level may be adopted in the case.

Rahul Gandhi exhibited the letter to the mediamen and read the entire content emphasising that the Chowkidar has arbitrarily given 30000 crores to Anil Ambani and therefore betrayed the people of the country, the armed forces and the Air Force.

He even said that a hand written comment of the then defence secretary below the typed note caution’s saying:
RM may see. It is desirable that such discussions avoided by the PMO as it affects the negotiations seriously.

Rahul Gandhi said that instead this money could have been used for the welfare and welbeing of the armed force as well as the Air force personels who sacrifice their precious lives for the country.

Rahul Gandhi said the former French President Francois Hollande had clearly said that he was asked to favour the company of Anil Ambani and the letter/ note of MOD has amply proved that what he (Hollande) said was absolutely correct.

An over confident looking Rahul when questioned by one of the journalists if he is not getting rattled because his brother in law Vadra is being questioned by the ED, Rahul put a counter question do I really look rattled? He added : I have no problem if the government quizzes any Congressmen, Vadra or Chidambaram.

They can use their power against each one of them but should also answer on Rafale deal in which the prime minister’s integrity is at stake.

Being vary harsh against the prime minister Narendra Modi Rahul Gandhi said : After the shocking revelations in Hindu newspaper with prima facie proofs of the Letter of Air Staff deputy secretary Mr. Sharma it’s now absolutely unambiguous that theft have been committed. It’s an open n shut case. The wrong doings have been brought to fore in black n white. I don’t want to use harsh words against PM Modi but I am compelled to use them.

Rahul was extremely catagorical is saying that it’s a clear cut case of openly helping Anil Ambani n his company at the cost of HAL.

He answered the media’s questions comfortably and said I have been saying this fact for the last one year n held number of press conferences as well but nobody believed but now after the recent revelations in Hindu my stand has been fully vindicated that huge wrong have been committed in the Rafale deal.

Rahul said that the PM as well as the Defence minister had lied to the country on Rafale.

Meanwhile the Defence minister Nirmala Sitaraman has accused Rahul Gandhi of playing in the hands of corporates n misguiding the people of the country by his misguiding statements on Rafale deal.

The union minister Mahesh Sharma while giving a clean chit to PM Modi said that he is the most honest prime minister in the entire political history of the country who is not only blotless but a PM with transparent integrity.
