Read Time: 2 minutes

If you are a fashion lover, you must be aware of fur-lined Gucci loafers, mules and slippers. Along with fashion quotient, they also offer PURE COMFORT. However, those will cost you as much as your house rent that to in some posh areas. Such situations always inspire the ‘Creative Me’ within us to DIY a pair of our own.

Here’s What You’ll Need
1. Fabric or thin leather or faux leather loafer
2. Faux fur (the softer the better)
3. Scissors / blade / pencil
4. Shoe/fabric Adhesive (Any glue that will hold fabric or fur on the shoes)

Let’s begin:
1. Put on the loafers, think carefully and decide how much of the sides should be retained.
2. Draw a slanted line from the side to the sole by using a measurement tape.
3. Cut the diagonal lines out using the scissors or a blade,
4. Carefully slice the bottom of the shoe siding from the sole, keeping the sole intact.

5. Using your shoe measurement set on the underside of your fur and trace around the heel and up to the ball of the shoe.
6. Carefully cut out the fur using the blade from the underside.

7. Place new furry soles inside the loafer and make sure that they fit into the same.
8. They might be little thicker on the ball of your foot, trim down the fur in that area with scissors if you can’t get your foot in.

9. Apply good amounts of adhesive or glue to the sole of the shoes and place the fur on the sole and inside the toe.
10. Make sure it fixed at the exact place. Let it set for a moment.
11. Then add extra glue at the heel and the fur is glued over the sole.
12. Hold for few seconds to set it down and leave them in a vented area to dry overnight.
13. In the morning, enjoy your new slip-ons.

Read Time: 2 minutes

Embroidery on denim is a stylish yet funky fashion. Though it began a few years ago, it’s still in fashion and always offers a trendy look with super fun. Since many don’t have an embroidery machine, so it becomes tough to design some embroidery on jeans by yourself. For this, we have an excellent idea. Just grab a vintage silk embroidered fabric and carefully cut out the floral embroidered designs and then stitch them onto your jeans manually.

Here’s what you need:

1. A pair of jeans which should not be stretchable denim!
2. Any fabric with pretty embroidery of your choice on it or patches.
3. Scissors, needle and matching thread.

Here how to proceed:

Carefully cut out the embroidered patches and leave about a little fabric around the edges. Make sure not to cut into the embroidery or it will loosen.

Place the patches on the jeans and decide where exactly you want your embroidery to be fixed. Then, carefully pin the embroidery piece in place.
Now begin with stitching, run the needle/thread around the edges with a hemstitch and make sure to run it through the sides or the edges of the embroidery, so that the thread loops will keep it in place.

And there you have your trendy pair of denim…

Happy DIY!! 

Nearly 80% of the plastic bottles used and thrown every day become non-bio degradable litter that takes a huge toll on environmental health. Of course, it is more convenient to sip the drink straight from plastic bottles however the plastic litter accumulated from the same acts as toxic pollutants which cause water, land, and air pollution.

So, reusing and repurposing of plastic bottles is an excellent way to contribute to saving the environment from getting polluted. It is a surprising fun to repurpose, redesign and reuse the plastic bottles. Let’s check that below.

#1 Zipper Case for stationery items
Transform the old plastic bottles into sturdy and useful zipper cases that will help to organize the office stationeries or art and craft supplies. This is also a fun-filled craft idea for kids.

#2 Piggy Bottle Bank
A cute piggy bank not only encourages kids to save also it inspires them to learn about recycling. All it needs is a cut on the bottle appropriately and lots of fun in creating super cute designs on the bottle to make it an adorable piggy bank.

#3 Vertical Hanging Garden
This is a rare but excellent idea for growing small leafy vegetables and herbs. A plastic bottle vertical garden is designed by looping the bottles horizontally along an interior wall or balcony. Here are some interesting ideas for a plastic bottle vertical garden.

#4 Amazing Jewelry Stand
A beautiful jewelry stand from plastic bottles looks great and can hold and hang tons of small jewelry items. And it doesn’t even take long to make as you have to just cut the bottoms of plastic bottles, then fix a metallic rod through them and see your craft transforms into a beautiful jewelry organizer.

#5 Tiny Snack Bowls
Transform the discarded plastic bottles into an unbreakable snack or dry fruit bowls for a small kitty party or family get together. Cut the bottom of the plastic bottle then use a hot iron to flatten and smooth out its edges and here is a pretty bowl all set for you. You can make it fancier by putting additional decoration to the tiny bowls.

Happy DIY 😊😇😊

Tyres never get tired: Brilliant Ideas For Recycling Tyres!!!!

Published

Read Time: 2 minutes

Are you aware that every year one tire is discarded per person? In Europe, only half of the discarded care tires are recycled and rest is burned or simply thrown. Keeping this in mind I have come up with great ideas to transform the unwanted tires into useful items. Let’s learn.

Things required:
An old tire, wooden board, a jigsaw, acrylic paint, sandpaper and brush, pencil, measuring tape and rope.

Let’s do it:
Step 1: Measure the diameter of the tire.

Step 2: Draw a circle on the wooden board.

Step 3:
Cut the wooden board by using a jigsaw and polish the edges by using sandpaper. Then paint it on both sides. Use the same to cover the bottom of the tire.

Step 4: Paint the tire.

Apply a primer on the tire to seal the surface well to prevent it from cracking. Then paint the outside with the paint of your preferable color. Finally, place the cushion over the wood board.

You can also make a coffee table using the same method.

Not limited to sitting arrangements, tires can also be used as beautiful planters as below.

Another brilliant idea of using the old tires is making a cute cozy bed for your pets.

Happy DIY 🙂

The other day, when I was just turning over the pages of a magazine, I came across a cute and stylish pair of denim studded with pearls by Paige Denim. Instantly, the ‘CreativeMe’ version within me whispered “Time for some creativity”. Let’s learn how to remake your boring jeans into stylish and fashionable denim.
All you need:

1. Old Jeans.
2. Plastic white beads or pearls preferably in different sizes and two colors. I have used white and ivory to give it an elegant look.
3. Needle, Thread, and Scissors.

Make your beads ready and decide where you want to place them.
There are actually two methods to attach pearls or beads. First, you can stitch on one pearl or bead at a time, which takes a good time. Stitch the large bead or pearls one by one randomly.
The second method is to stitch the smaller or tiny pearls beads consecutively by using one long thread.

To make it more visible and stylish and start stitching the largest pearl beads near the front pocket. Place your stitches close to each other and use little thread as possible. Make sure the pearl beads are not attached too tight or too loose.
Scatter the large pearl beads one by one then stitch the medium pearls and finally the tiny ones to fill in the spaces.

Happy DIY 😊😇😊

Belts and leather bags are such fashion accessories that go out of trend in every now and then. If this year a belt or bag is the trending fashion, the subsequent year it is out of style. So, if you have a set of fashionable belts in your wardrobe that you don’t use anymore, don’t just donate, crafting something interesting is always the best options as well!
Wall shelves
Take two leather belts, two wood boards, nails, and a hammer.

Measure and mark the wooden boards for perfect alignment.

Then fasten the belts together and make two identical loops. Make extra holes on the belts if they are not in the same dimension.

Place the loops on the marks and hammer three nails on the front of each board. Similarly, position another board and staple it to the belts with nails on each side.

Other interesting and useful things are ….

A small piece from a leather belt goes well with wood. It can be used as a pull for a drawer.

If you have a collection of many old belts, then it can be used to make a beautiful entrance/doormat out of them.

If you have old books and pillows which you don’t need any more, you can stack and tie them with two old leather belts to make a stool.

Hope this will help you to use your old stuff and make them beautiful and amazing crafts.
Happy DIY  !!!! 🙂
