Environment activist Dr. Ashutosh being felicitated in Haldwani, Uttarakhand

Dr. Ashutosh Pant, a dedicated environment activist and doctor of Ayurveda was felicitated and honoured with an award for his outstanding services and contribution in the field of environmental protection and treatment of poor and hapless patients through Ayurveda by an NGO Sauhardh Jansewa Sammittee ( Harmony Social Welfare Committee) by the MLA Banshidhar Bhagat, Brigadier Dheeraj Joshi and the mayor Jogendra Rautela.
The president of the above organisation Mrs. Vidya Mehtolia and her dedicated team deserve to be complimented for recognising and honouring outstanding environmental activists who stand committed to protect the environment of the Uttarakhand Himalayas.
Dr. Ashutosh Pant is also credited for being honoured earlier on 5th June and 17th June by the GO GREEN organisation and Self Reliance Initiative NGO for his untiring efforts to save the environment by spreading awareness and planting trees in the hills of Uttarakhand.
Dr. Ashutosh had been involved in the activities pertaining to save environment within his own capacity and sphere since the year 1988.
He is of the opinion that each and every one of us should work hard with extreme zeal, enthusiasm and dedication to protect the environment and make our forests more green and full of trees which give is oxygen for our long life and healthy ecology.
He expressed his gratitude towards all these organisations for recognising his services in the field of environment protection in different ways. He feels that he is contributing his bit to the society and Uttarakhand by energising his efforts to keep the hills green and mobilise people towards green environment.
Sunil Negi hails from Uttarakhand and is a veteran journalist and author. He is a prolific writer and has carved a name for himself in the media world. He received the 'Golden Achiever Award' in the '90th AIAC Excellence Awards 2019' for his book ''Havoc in Heaven'' based on the tragedy that struck Uttarakhand in which thousands of people lost their lives. He is also the President of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum and majorly writes on Politics, Current Affairs, and Social Issues.
