Hukka bars are the greatest health hazard in the metropolitan cities of the country and the capital of India Delhi is also one of the main cities spoiling the health of hundreds of thousands of school and college going boys and girls through these HUKKA BARS which are in thousands operating in various parts of Delhi.

This new culture of smoking habitscomponded with liquor and drugs being inculcated in the students and youths in airconditioned restaurant like well furnished Hukka bars against heavy payments killing time with friends and accquaitances has infact led to infinite addiction amongst youths and students who had almost made it a daily affair and bunk classes for days together spoiling their academic future and also health.

This addiction of hukka bars is so dangerous and highly prone phenomena that the addicts can’t live without it and feel the lust of it even during midnight or odd hours. In majority of the Hukka bars in Delhi the operators cladestinely mix the drugs in order to make their clients addict so that the addicts visit their bars again and again and the profit is enhanced.

Being a highly profitable business and licensed under the law hundreds of thousands of hukka bars arw operating in the capital city DELHI thus spoiling the academic career and health of the college and school going boys and girls. The most worrisome and disturbing trend about this addiction is that now good number of girls hailing from the rich and affluent sections n even from the middle and low middle classes are falling prey to this dangerous hukka culture.

There had been number of complaints from the parents of the affected and addicted youths but due the unholy nexus between the hukka bars and the authorities concerned no action is taken against this flourishing business. But thanks to the efforts of the BJP/Akali MLA from Rajouri Garden Manjinder Singh Sirsa who’ d filed a public interest petition in the NGT and justice Swantantra Kumar while taking a serious note of it has issued notices to the Delhi government and other departments concerned to appear in person before it with a detailed list of the licensed as well as the illegally hukka bars of DELHI which have literally spoiled the academic future and health of school and college going boys and girls of the capital.

This hukka bar culture should be stopped immediately and the government of Delhi should come forward in this regard. The National Green Tribunal has fixed 17th November, 2017 as the next date for hearing. The Delhites urge upon the honourable justice Swatantra Kumar to issue public interest judgement for the forthwith closures of all the HUKKA BARS operating in and outside the national capital territory of Delhi.
