Our national hero Abhinandan reaches India at Attari Wagah border at 9.20 PM.The whole nation is proud of him. The Indian Air Force Air Vice Marshal accompanied him.

He will be medically examined as he had ejected under extremely challenging situations n circumstances n had to bear the weight of tremendous mental as well as physical stress.

He was physically hit also in Pakistan when he landed after ejection through parashoot. While entering the Indian side at Wagah Attari Border, Abhinandan was quite calm, composed, fit , confident, proud and happy.

He will be taken to Delhi after the medical examination at Amritsar said the Amritsar deputy commissioner while responding the the journalists’ queries. The fighter pilot will be closetted with his family at Amritsar or Delhi for a gd time before being taken to Delhi for detailed medical examination n screening.

Abhinandan was accompanied by an Pak Air Force Officer and a women foreign department official Dr. Buguti official till the Indian Gate at Wagah Attari Border.

There were hundreds of people in jubiliation waving Indian tricolour , dancing to the tune of drums for the whole day since early morning till 8.00 PM including the scribes, TV anchors with OB vans doing live from the spot as the fighter pilot was expected to be handed to Indian side by 5 n 5.30 PM but was thereafter delayed till 9.30 for the reasons better known to Pakistan authorities. Several anxious Indian supporters had left by 8.30 except the median the locals.

The media which had been waiting since morning had to come empty handed as Abhinandan was directly ferried in Army cars fully guarded not allowing him to talk to the media nor was any press conference held as was expected earlier. Abhinandan was dressed in a grey trouser n a blue blazer.

But when he ejected n landed in a Pakistan village he wore the IAF fighter pilot uniform with an IAF Badge inscribed over the chest. It looks as if Abhinandan’s uniform has been kept with them by the Pak Air Force as Archive. Sources reveal that the Indian government wanted to send the plane to Pakistan to fetch Abhinandan but the Indian request was turned down.

However the road distance from Lahore to Attari Wagah Border is merely 28 kilometres. Or say half an hour travel time by car. It is learnt that while being brought in the Army vehicle of Pakistan Abhinandan’s eyes were covered ( blind folded) not allowing him to sense the route or nearby surroundings.

He was being questioned by the troopers about the treatment meted out to him in Pakistan during his two days stay to which wing commander Varthaman answered by praising the Pakistan officers for their hospitality and excellent treatment meted out to him.

A vedio was recorded n has been adequately circulated in the social media sites having become viral. This is definitely an exercise by the Pak officers to score brownie points about their being good and affable towards a captured Indian fighter pilot who had downed their F 16.

Not only this but a special video of wing commander was shot in hindi seeking praise of Pakistan army’s best hospitability n treatment while Abhinandan’s two day captivity in Pakistan later on released widely in social media with 16 cuts says the news. However, it nowhere reveals the way Abhinandan was badly treated, punched n hit by the locals in a village site of Harron where he landed after ejection with excessive blood coming out of his wounds.

It ma6 be recalled that in the past while Col Kariappa n Wing commander/ or Squadron Nachiketa were released in 1975 n 1999 wars after the cativity of four months n eight days respectively but were badly victised, tortured n harrased. However the Indian government returned back the 92000 surrendered Pak POWs of 1971 Bangladesh Pak war without causing them any harm. Pak’has brutally killed captain Saurav Kalia n few other officers in their captivity being quite infamous as an Army dealing with the India POWs, this time being courtious perhaps due to the fear or international pressure.God knows?

The prime minister Narendra Modi has in a tweet congratulated wing commander on his home coming and praised him fot his outstanding n exemplary courage, valour n bravery.
