Star cast of biopic on posthumous Mahavir Chakra recipient Late Jaswant Singh Rawat felicitated in New Delhi. ” 72 Hours- Martyr who never died

A valiant fighter who defied insurmountable odds in the Nurang war of 1962 in Arunachal Pradesh against the Chinese

The film star cast of ” 72 Hours – Martyr who never died”, today visited Garhwal Bhawan in New Delhi at the premier of the biopic of valiant soldier late Rifleman Jaswant Singh Rawat of 4 Garhwal Rifles. Jaswant Singh was awarded with Mahavir Chakra by President of India posthumously.

This mega budget movie has been produced by JSR productions, with a hefty budget of more than Rs. ten crores highlighting the valour of Rifleman of 4 Garhwal Rifles Jaswant Singh Rawat n other valiant fighters with immense dexterity n precision shot near Nurang post in Arunachal Pradesh n real locations where this brave soldier lived, passed his childhod, school he studied in n the vicinity where he fought the challenging war under most adverse situations ncircumstances .

It’s just a co incidence that the name of the producer of this biopic is Jaswant Singh Rawat n his son Prasheel Rawat. This biopic is a by product of repression n trauma ( Peedha).

About 95 percent of the characters in the movie are from Uttarakhand n the hero playing Jaswant Singh Rawat is actor Avinash Dhyani who did a three year deep research on the project n scripted the story as well. The reason why he was inspired to work so dedicatedly on the script was because his father too was in Garhwal Rifles n the battalion’s unparalleled contributions n sacrifices could not be brought to the fore.

The movie spans 2 hours ten minute which took almost three years to complete. It was in this war of 1962 fought at Nurang, Arunachal Pradesh when brave Jaswant Singh single handedly killed 300 Chinese soldiers finally sacrificing his precious life alongwith fellow rifleman Trilok Singh Negi.

The film crew flew from Mumbai to Delhi to connect with the film audience at Garhwal Bhawan, Panch Quinya Road, New Delhi.

Heartiest congratulations to the entire crew of the biopic 72 hours- the martyr never died.

According to the producer of JSR productions’ 72 Hours”, young Prasheel Rawat, he was inspired to make this mega budget biopic after he was approached by the hero of the movie Avinash Dhyani who had done a deep n meticulous research n scripted the true story in three years after tremendous dedication n hard work.

On hearing n reading the script of the selfless sacrifice of a mere 21 year old soldier Jaswant Singh in the Nurang post of Arunachal Pradesh Indo China war of 1962 who single handedly fought the enemy forces for three consecutive days n killed 300 PLA soldiers Rasheel was so moved passionately that he made up his mind to invest 10 crore rupees n go for the biopic on the life and sacrifice of this valiant soldier of 4 Garhwal Rifles who refused to leave the post despite the orders of the high ups to withdraw.

The hero of the movie Avinash Dhyani who played Jaswant Singh in the movie n worked hard for three consecutive years extended his gratitude towards JSR production n Prasheel Rawat for considering his request n making,” 72 Hours,” Martyr who never died,” possible.

The movie has been block bustre in the cinema Halls of North Eastern States who consider Late Jaswant Singh Rawat as their real hero saying that had he not only fought the enemy forces so courageously n with valour finally for three days incessantly under most terrifying n unforseen circumstances but also sacrificed his precious life and today it’s because of his sacrifice that Arunachal Pradesh is with India and they are safe and sound.

The Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha office bearers Mohabbat Singh Rana, President, Pawan Maithani, General Secretary, Ajay Bisht, joint secretary n Sunil Negi, President of Uttarakhand Journalists Forum etc felicitated the chief guests of the event Lt. General Mr. Rawat, Dr. Kusum Nautiyal, Colonel Nautiyal, classmate of late Jaswant Singh Rawat, Colonel Maithani n Kargil war Hero Colonel Chandri Patwal and the entire crew of the biopic with bouquets and momentoes.

The hall was jampacked who enjoyed the promo n songs screening on the ocassion. Several renowned bollywood actors are also acting in this film. The movie is likely to be screened in Delhi theatres shortly, however it is being screened in several theatres in Uttarakhand and other states of the country.
