Later, during his Padyatra he bared the scorching heat of the sun, he met with the people in Ashok Vihar Phase 3, CD Park, Shaktinagar G-Block, Wazirpur Extension and Adarsh Nagar areas. He interacted with the kids, youth, women and elderly and shared his thoughts about the current political and social matters in the state and the country.

Jaiprakash said, “Today is a very difficult time for all of us. The BJP leaders, who misled the country by making false promises five years ago, are active once again. BJP leaders promised 2 crore jobs in the next five years but nothing happened. In the round, the Modi government took away the jobs of thousands of people. The public is alert now and this time they are not going to be fooled by them. I assure, we will definitely provide Rs 72000 annually to the poor, as promised by Rahul ji under NYAY scheme. This is not a rhetoric, it’s our promise.”

Shri Jayprakash Agarwal also inaugurated his election office in Adarsh Nagar on Wednesday and later he campaigned in the Shalimar Park area.

The Congress candidate from the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha seat is getting immense support from the people during his Padyatras. People everywhere are welcoming him with flowers and garlands. On this occasion, the elderly, youth and women blessed him to come out victorious.

While addressing a public meeting near Indralok Gurudwara, JP Agarwal said, “Demonetisation, GST and sealing law has hit the business class badly in the last five years. The Modi government never paid attention to their worries. Thousands of families are finding it hard to earn a square meal properly. Trapped in the web of their fake promises, the public vote the ‘jumlebaz’ to power and has been suffering ever since. As they failed to create proper jobs for the youth of this country they started asking them to sell ‘pakora’.”

“The voters should remember that they were forced to stand for hours in the queue during Demonetisation. Several people lost their lives while trying to get their own hard-earned money. The people were recovering from the jolt of Demonetisation when the Modi Government introduced the GST to further complicate their lives. They even threatened the traders of jail if the GST norms are not followed strictly. This government has done nothing for the welfare of the traders,” he added further.

While addressing the public meeting at Ahata Kidar Chowk near Bada Hindurao, JP Agarwal said that the traders are still not in a state to recover from the losses they suffered due to GST. Sealing broke the backbone of the merchants as their shops were sealed. In the midst of his speech, the enthusiastic crowd chanted the slogans ‘JP Bhai Zindabad’ and ‘Rahul Gandhi Zindabad’.

On this occasion, Congress leaders Harikishan Jindal said, “Agarwal is a well-known face, he is an honest leader who is always working for the welfare of people.”
