AGAR SACH KEHNA BAGAAVAT HAI TO SAMJHO HUM BHI BAAGI HAIN ( If uttering truth amounts to being an anarchist/ rebel in the eyes of BJP then let me tell you that I am an anarchist too). This was the main sentence that reverberated in the UNITED INDIA RALLY organised by the West Bengal chief minister n Trinamool Congress yesterday, the 19th January at the Brigade Parade ground in Kolkatta mentioned by the BAAGI BJP leader n BJP MP from Patna Sahib Shatrughan aka Shot Gun Sinha, giving an open challenge to prime minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Supremo Amit Shah.
The eloquent BJP leader n MP who’d been incessantly speaking against the BJP leadership n prime minister Narendra Modi for more than a year from various opposition forums including his twitter handle day in and day out was extremely vociferous at the United India Rally attended by about 22 non BJP opposition leaders of the Mahagathbandhan being formed to dethrone the BJP led NDA out of power in 2019.
The actor turned politician Sinha extremely envy of top BJP leadership spoke openly against the BJP led NDA government and appealed the massive rally attendees to dethrone the NDA government led by BJP by all means, unambiguously inviting his possible expulsion from the ruling party on whose ticket the actor turned politician entered parliament from Patna Sahib.
The former union health minister in Vajpayee’s government Shatrughan Sinha is an ardent supporter of the former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna advani n had number of times accused the BJP central leadership of deliberately sidelining the party veterans Advani n Professor MM Joshi, instead of honouring them with high political positions.
Sources reveal that while the BJP high command was tolerating the anti BJP stance n bad mouthing of Shatru for a long time but after his recent move of joining the anti BJP conclave at Kolkatta and openly challenging the central leadership, the party supremo has finally made up his mind to expel Shtru out of BJP as his repeated anti party salvos has caused much and irreperable harm to the party n leadership.
Shatru it seems has made up his open mind to take on the BJP with full confidence and as an arch rival being an important part of the grand anti BJP alliance.
Sources reveal that BJP baagi Shatru has options to go with RJD in Bihar, Akhilesh Yadav or in the Congress party depending on the right substitute to click.
However, having good relations with almost all the party leaders in the opposition he had earlier been offered seat from Delhi by AAP earlier to contest from trans Yamuna parliamentary constituency having tremendous amount of Poorvanchali votes, in Asansol by TMC against actor singer Babul supriyo having majority of North Indian votes or from his home state Bihar under the RJD’s banner.
However, days of Shatru seem to be numbered in BJP n can be expelled any time. Shatru has already declared that he would not quit BJP on his own but would rather prefer to be expelled as he has done nothing wrong or anti party but has always tried to correct the wrongs of the party leaders. If the party thinks that he is anti BJP he should be expelled adds Shatru.

Cricket is a game of uncertain, but the amount and nature of uncertainty level which gives us the thrill, excitement and euphoria made the game most unique among all other sports. The recent concluded quadrennial extravaganza of World cup 2019 is definitely one of those events where each game gives us such feeling especially the D-day or finale stands out among the all other the matches.
Though the event is marred by certain criticisms and controversies it has something to cheer for the crowd at the end of the day. Be it the game of host nation England or India or mercurial Pakistan, each cricket nation gives their best till the last league match between South Africa Vs Australia where a below average South Africa overpowered another tournament favourite Australia in a cliff-hanger. Apart from minnow Afghanistan, all the cricket nations give their best to reach the Semi-Final though it had given tough time India in their league encounter.
The team which impressed me as a cricket aficionado most that are team Bangladesh. They have played out of their skin and probably their best in the world cup so far to surprise and supersede others. If they maintain and sustain their level of performance, who knows 2023 world cup can be knocking their door.
Probably the important X- factor and the limiting one is the English weather. It is more than unpredictable than the Pakistan team. As a number of matches abandoned and highest any word cup, could not get the best team for the semis.
Another interesting factor is the condition and nature of the pitches used for matches. In a cricket match the 22 yard matters the most but in an unpredictable and uncertain way. But this trend reversed as in 90 per cent matches won by the team playing by winning the toss and opting for batting first. Going by this trend, runner up New Zealand the team who all most won the final but due to some interesting rules by ICC, they are deprived of the glory by a whisker.
Coming back to peculiar and controversial rules of ICC has raised the eyebrows of cricket pundits. Especially in the final match the super over concept after the tie between the two teams quite ludicrous. Similarly, it won’t be ridiculous to say that a getting a six for an overthrow and which should be a five-run as admitted by the officiating field Umpire Kumara Dharmasena. The most hilarious part is deciding the winner on the base of a number of boundaries in the innings by each team. As some of the players of the NewZealand team had already spoken about the unaware of this boundary information after the match. In Football the winner is decided by extra time or penalty, same kind logic must be implemented here also with any doubt as strongly advocated by the great Sachin Tendulkar.
In the last but not least the failure of India in the semis has shattered and broken the heart of cricket fans all over the world. After topping at the group stage and playing some superb, adventurous and exciting cricket it is difficult to digest the defeat and elimination. But fans all over the world must repose and reinstate faith and hope in team India. As the test championship and world twenty-twenty is round the corner the team India should not lose their focus. This is the team who has performed all over the world in alien conditions like Australia, South Africa and NewZealand has a long way to go. Certainly, the form is temporary but class is permanent.

Chandrayaan 2, MK 111 taking off from Sriharikota launch station today at 2.43 PM IST
Spread the love
Read Time: 5minutes
India today made history and became the fourth nation after United States, Russia, and China to successfully launch its indigenously manufactured Chandrayaan 2 MK 111 spacecraft in its over-ambitious space mission to the moon from Sriharikota launch station.
Chandrayaan 2 MK 111 was launched on 15th July but a snag was detected into the valve of its engine just 57 minutes before the launch which had to be called off immediately thereafter.
The entire country was interestingly and curiously watching the launch of Chandrayan 2 this afternoon fully glued to their TV sets and mobiles and cheered as the successful launch got executed at 2.43 PM from Sriharikota launch station.
The chief of Indian Space Research Organisation K. Sivan under whose most dedicated and committed leadership hundreds of scientists, space science engineers, technical assistants and the entire staff of ISRO had burnt midnight oil for the last two years to make this historic mission possible congratulated them saying I am extremely happy to announce that the GSLV MK 111 M1 has successfully injected Chandrayan2 spacecraft into the Earth Orbit.
It’s a beginning of a historic journey in space science of India towards the moon and to land at a place near South pole to carry out scientific experiments.
I salute all of them who were engaged in this mission especially the ISRO team added Sivan, chairman ISRO.
Chandrayaan 2 is currently in the geostationary orbit and would take 48 days to reach the South pole of the moon.
The prime minister Narendra Modi has termed the successful launch of Chandrayan 2 as special moments that will be etched in the annals of our glorious history.
PM Narendra Modi tweeted: Special moments that will be etched in the annals of our glorious history.
The launch of Chadrayaan 2 illustrates the prowess of our scientists and the determination of 130 crore Indians to scale new frontiers of science.
The union defence minister Rajnath Singh too expressed his jubilation and tweeted: Congratulations to ISRO scientists on flawless launching of Chandrayaan 2 from Sriharikota.
Team ISRO scripted a new chapter in India’s space history with the launch of this ambitious and indigenous Mission to Moon. The nation is extremely proud of its scientists and Team ISRO.
The union home minister Amit Shah to congratulated the ISRO team for this outstanding contribution in the indigenous moon mission but a thank you for PM Modi as well and tweeted: I congratulate our scientists at ISRO for the successful launch of Chandrayan 2 and setting yet another benchmark in the field of space technology.
A grateful nation is proud of them. I thank PM Modiji for encouraging our institutions for setting new standards every time.
It may be recalled that this highly successful indigenous moon mission spacecraft Chadrayan 2 will have an Orbitor for remote sensing the Moon and also a Lander Rover module for analysis of the lunar surface.
It will take 48 days to reach the destined goal but before landing at South pole it would revolve near the moon surface for 14 days enabling safe landing which indeed would be terrorizing days for ISRO said its chairman K. Sivan as the safe landing of the Chadrayan on South pole is the greatest challenge for ISRO now.
This will be the first space mission to rove on the Moon’s southern pole searching for water, ice and cold traps that would help in preserving the history of our solar system. Around 7500 people witnessed the historic launch of Chandrayan 2 MK 111 from Sriharikota launching station in Andhra Pradesh and billions around the country and the globe.
Even prime minister Narendra Modi and the majority of his cabinet colleagues curiously watched the launch event before congratulating the ISRO chairman Sivan and his entire team which made this historic event possible bringing laurels for the nations and including it in the comity of nations having sent successful missions to moon earlier.
It may be recalled that India is the first country to be landing its space craft Chandrayan on moon’s South pole where there may be possibilities of snow and water.
If this fact is ascertained there are possibilities of Moon being used as the launch station for experiments in the space instead of earth.
No other country viz US, China and Russia has landed its space craft in the Southern pole. However US has already announced of landing its astronaut on Moon’s South pole in 2024 for which it’s making necessary preparations.
The Chandrayan 2 MK 111 would be in the in the space orbit for 23 days before heading for moons surface where it will revolve around moon for 14 days enabling itself for the safe landing. This giant leap by ISRO is being considered as a historic victory of entire team of ISRO scientists who’d been personally thanked and congratulated by prime minister Narendra Modi who watched quite curiously the entire launch sequence on a big screen in PMO.

The regional Garhwali dialect will now be the significant part of the curriculum in classes first to fifth in Garhwal Uttarakhand with the first-ever initiative taken by the district magistrate of Pauri Garhwal Mr. Dheeraj Singh Garbyal in a function while lightening the lamp of an inauguration function today.
From now onwards students of all the 79 primary schools, to start with, will be taught Garhwali as a mandatory subject as other 8th scheduled languages are taught in various states of the country dominated by majority of their dialect speaking people.
While Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsaar Bhavar dialects of Uttarakhand have not been included in the eighth schedule of the constitution but every state has the right to propagate its dialects n languages to promote and conserve its own linguistic and cultural heritage.
This healthy initiative taken by the chief minister of Uttarakhand, having now commenced from the 79 primary schools of his home district Pauri Garhwal is being lauded by one and all in Uttarakhand.
Similarly, slowly but gradually the same initiative may be taken up in the Kumaon region of the state in the near future as well reveal reliable sources.
The issue of regional language / dialect propagation is an emotional one that binds people and society more cohesively within the parameters of their respective cultural heritage and is a vote catcher initiative too, hence urgently implemented by the present poltical dispensation of the state.
There have been long term attempts by Uttarakhandies living in Delhi and other metropolises of the country to impress upon the successive state and central governments of Congress and BJP to include Garhwali, Kumaoni and Jaunsaar Bhaver dialects in the eighth schedule of the constitution through collective protests, media publicity and holding of seminars but no government has till date paid any heed to this call despite the fact that Uttarakhand has a population of about 5 crores at the pan Indian level which includes the 1.25 crore populace of Uttarakhand state too.
The enlightened people and intellectual social organizations of the state in the metropolises and Uttarakhand have been stressing hard to get this protracted demand implemented but of no avail.
The Delhi government of Aam Admi Party has promised in principle and even declared of constituting the Kumaoni and Garhwali academies but the proposal still seems to be on papers despite the very fact that Delhi has a sizeable Uttarakhandi population of approximately 35 lakh people.
However, a prestigious magazine called Dhad edited and published from Dehradun has been propagating the idea of promoting Garhwali language by regularly bringing out this publication in Garhwali dialect thus emphasizing that more and more people of Garhwal, Kumaon and Jaunsaar, Uttarakhand learn the regional dialects and conserve its cultural and linguistic heritage.
In Delhi too certain social organizations have been holding regular classes to train the children of a new generation living in cities to become well versed in Garhwali and Kumaoni dialects which is slowly and steadily on the decline.
Introducing the local Garhwali dialect in 79 primary schools of Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand from first to the fifth standards is therefore immensely instrumental to inculcate a feeling of nostalgia and attachment to their local dialect, culture and traditions thus contributing healthily in reverse migration as well as putting a break to influx towards cities.
About five thousand students would be initially taught this dialect which may further include in the curriculum of other districts of the state too.
It may be recalled that the iconic singer of Uttarakhand and prestigious recipient of coveted Sangeet Natak Academy Award Narendra Singh Negi’s contribution in propagating Garhwali language through his powerful and meaningful lyrics and songs have been immeasurable and unparalleled.
The former chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit was today give final adieu at Nigam Bodh Ghat amidst chanting slogans like “Jab Tak Suraj Chand Rahega Shiela Tera Naam Rahega,” by her hundreds of followers and Congress workers from Delhi.
The Congress leader and former PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, UPA advisory council chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Ahmed Patel and chief ministers of two Congress-ruled states Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh Ashok Gehlot and Kamal Nath also paid their last respects to her at Congress party office and later on at Nigam Bodh Ghat crematorium.
The former union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj and deputy PM Lal Krishna Advani reached her Nizammuddin residence and paid their heartfelt tributes.
Late Smt Sheila Dikshit was the tallest leader of Congress party and had been a minister in PMO during Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure. She reigned Delhi for three consecutive terms as the chief minister Delhi from 1998 till 2013, implementing tremendous structural development of Delhi from Metro Rail project to several flyovers including successful conduction of Common Wealth Games.
She confronted the worst period of her political in 2013 when not only had the Delhi Congress lost awefully to Aam Admi Party by not winning a single seat in Delhi assembly but she herself lost to Delhi CM Arivind Kejrival at the hustings.
But highly courageous and active even being an octagenerian Shiela Dikshit never gave up to take the reigns of weak Delhi Congress in her hands and even contesting the election of member of parliament with full zeal, enthusiasm and energy though having lost it..
While three term CM of Delhi her dream was to make Delhi one of the best and the most beautiful cities’ in the world.
She was also the president of Delhi Congress twice and of UP once. Late Mrs. Dikshit was considered as the troubleshooter of Congress party who took the reigns of UP and Delhi Congress during the time of crisis and did her best to revive the party in both these states.
Born in 1938 Sheila Dikshit was witness to the pre and post-independent India who breathed her last on 20th July after suffering a massive cardiac arrest in a Delhi hospital in Delhi’s escort hospital.

The prime minister Narendra Modi expressed his immense grief over the sad demise at the passing away of Shiela Dikshit terming her the tallest leader and an affable human being. Former president of Congress Rahul Gandhi while expressing his grief over Sheilaji’s sad demise said that the party has lost a daughter of Congress party leaving a huge void difficult to be filled.
The union defence minister Rajnath Singh, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, veteran BJP leader Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi and scores of senior leaders across ideological lines expressed their shock over the sad demise of Sheila Dikshit. It may be recalled that the three-time chief minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit had been immensely instrumental for the revolutionary development of Delhi.
She was in true sense the unstinted leader of the masses who’d dedicated her entire life for the welfare and well being of the society especially for the good of the people of the lowest ebb of the society. Following allegations of corruption, she had lost the Delhi state elections of 2013 after ruling the state for three consecutive terms.
MMR i.e. the Mumbai Metropolitan Region is one of the major retail hubs in India and thus the brands are always keen to acquire space there. According to a report, builders are planning to develop malls in that region as the demand for retail space is increasing by leaps and bounds.
The report by a leading real estate company states that approximately 13.6 mn sqft. of the new mall, space is likely to be developed in the entire MMR by 2022.
Out of this, the Mumbai city will have 82% and Navi Mumbai will have 17% space sharing respectively. The next retail hubs in MMR are Andheri, Bandra, Worli and Borivali as the malls here are likely to be developed between 1 lakh sqft. to 6 lakh sqft.
The average monthly rent in the Mumbai Metropolitan region is nearly Rs. 140 per sqft and the Mall vacancy demand has escalated from 12.60% in 2017 to 16% in 2018. The Mumbai’s high-street shopping experience is likely to get a makeover as the high street market areas like Andheri-Kurla Road, Pali Hills, Bandra West, Kala Ghoda, and Powai are now attracting to mall culture and is clearly seen with the launch of various fine-dining restaurants.
However, the MMR is lagging behind the NCR market where the Mall vacancy stood at 18.2% in 2018 with an average monthly rent of approximately Rs.137/sqft.
The arbitrary arrest of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi heading for Sonbhadra yesterday i.e. 19th July to meet the bereaved families and the grievously injured victims of massacre of 12 innocents of Gond community by a landlord village head Yagya Dutt and his goons who came on 32 tractors killing and injuring several poor villagers has created an immense anger, annoyance, disenchantment and furore amongst the Congress leaders and rank and file at the pan India level with hundreds of workers thronging the arrest site in Chunar to express their solidarity with their leader thus helping in reviving and regenerating a new lease of life in a non functional Congress party after the desperate resignation of her brother Rahul Gandhi as Congress chief taking the responsibility of the election debacle on his head.
You may recall that Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi was arrested on 19th July when she was peacefully protesting after having been restricted by the UP administration to meet the injured and the bereaved families of the diabolical Sonbhadra massacre.
Priyanka’s visit reminds me of the similar visit of her grandmother, former prime minister Indira Gandhi to Belchi, Bihar during the Janata Party rule after 1977 when several Dalits were massacred by the higher caste landlords creating quite a ripple and sensation in the national and international media and political circles as well.
Late Mrs Gandhi was then out of power, having lost her own Lok Sabha seat from Rai Bareilly to late Raj Narain, the then health minister in the govt of Janata Party conglomeration.
She had visited Belchi climbing on an elephant to know the welfare and well being of the bereaved family.
Her Belchi visit was so popularised in the media that it, later on, resulted in her coming back to power at the centre defeating badly the conglomeration of the 22 national political outfits called the Janata Party that ruled for merely 22 months and tore apart like the pack of cards.
Priyanka Gandhi’s visit to Sonbhadra seems to repeat the episode of her grand mother’s Belchi, Bihar visit during Janata Party era earning the sympathy of the Dalits and have nots all over the country.
In a democratic country can’t a peace-loving leader of a national party visit the victims of the massacre to know about their well being asked Priyanka Gandhi before her being arrested.
This raises a question that the UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath and the BJP leadership is highly apprehensive of the increasing political popularity and clout of Priyanka Gandhi who seems to be the next leader in the making in Congress Party after Rahul Gandhi’s resignation.
Voices within and outside the Congress have already started emerging in favour of Sonia Gandhi to make her the Congress president.
The way Priyanka sat on the Dharna in protest yesterday while heading for Sonbhadra after having been forbidden to do so on the bare ground with her supporters and arrested later on, reminiscences of her grandmother again when she during the Janata Party rule in 1978 also sat on the road after having been arrested and paraded on foot while late Choudhary Charan Singh was the home minister in Morarji Desai’s tenure as PM while handcuffed.
Mrs Gandhi had thereafter returned to power with a thumping majority, gaining the sympathy of the people nationwide.
Political analysts say that by repeating the same blunder through vindictive politics, the present political dispensation in Uttar Pradesh and at the centre is not only opening the doors for the revival and rejuvenation of Congress Party at the national level but also giving leverage/ impetus to the anti-opposition forces under Congress party to unite thus able to forge a formidable challenge to it in the future.
The Congressmen and the people see in Priyanka Gandhi a shadow of late Indira Gandhi, a formidable leader of international eminence credited for dividing Pakistan in 1971, creating Bangladesh whom even the former prime minister, the then opposition leader late Atal Bihari Vajpayee publicly accorded the title of Durga Maa.
Meanwhile, Congressmen from all over the country are converging at Varanasi and Sonbhadra to express solidarity with there arrested leader who was holed up in the guest house whole night under arrest.
Rahul Tweeted: The arbitrary arrest of Priyanka Gandhi in Sonbhadra is disturbing. This arbitrary application of power to prevent her from meeting the 10 families of Adivasi farmers brutally gunned down for refusing to vacate their own lands reveals the BJP government’s increasing insecurity in UP.
At the same time hopefully, Congress wants to support the bereaved families sincerely and this is not a publicity stunt by them where they want to leverage this unfortunate incident to their advantage. As after the Photo Op and Dharna drama is over Mrs Vadra has gone back to her daily life.
