Why is Udhav Thakre so opposed to Modi

SUNILNEGI

If the arch political rivals and diametrically opposite ideologues like the Congress or the Congress led NDA that includes the left parties as well, oppose the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party to the core it is definitely something that is acceptable and as per the norms of politics. But if parties very much close, ideologically and politically which also support each other at the centre and the state like Maharashtra target the ruling BJP and its conglomerates with precision its definitely not only hypocritical but something to worry about. ( by the ruling party at the centre).

Yes, I am talking about the strong political party of Maharashtra, having quite a stronghold in Mumbai in particular, having its MLAs in the state assembly supporting the BJP government of Fadnavis and also ruling the Bombay Municipal Corporation as a majority party, supported by BJP.

The most interesting thing in the Shiv Sena BJP alliance in Maharashtra is that despite the Fadnavis government ruling there with SHIV SENA’s support the chief minister’s position is always on tenterhooks as the Shiv Sena behaves in a more arch rival fashion than the traditional rival Congress.

Whether it was the issue of ministry formation at the centre, election of the president of India, issue of demonetisation, GST or bullet train the Shiv Sena under the presidentship of flamboyant and furious Udhav Thackarey and Raj Thackarey of the rival faction have always been opposed to the BJP high command and the prime minister Narendra Modi and the party’s popular newspaper SAAMNA had been criticizing the BJP led NDA government on various political matters and official decisions tooth and nail to the utter dismay, surprise and shock of the central BJP and the state leaderships, respectively.

The way Shiv Sena and its breakaway group MNS under Udhav and Raj Thakarey take BJP and its state and central leadership to task almost everyday it definitely gives the impression that it’s not the Congress party which is the arch rival but the Shiv Sena and its leaders who leave no opportunity to deplore BJP and its central and state government of Maharashtra.

After the Mumbai Elphinestone FOB tragedy both the Shiv Senas’, particularly the Maharashtra Nav Nirman Sena chief Raj Thakarey has while strongly condemning the tragic deaths of 23 Mumbaites have issued warning to the central and state governments of BJP that it will not allow the work of the Bullet train in the Mumbai Suburb and if need be would forcibly stop the project alongwith thousands of its volunteers even if they are countered through force or police. Raj Thakarey said that unless or until the lives of the Mumbaikars are not safeguarded by upgrading the condition of Indian railway networks and its FOOT over bridges etc. the bullet train project is of no relevance to the people of MUMBAI.

^Not only this but while addressing a largely attended rally in MUMBAI on the eve of DUSSHEHRA Shiv Sena chief Udhav Thakarey lost no opportunity to lambast and criticize BJP’s top leadership amid huge uproar saying in a furious tone: Don’t teach us patriotism. The day when we need to be taught patriotism hasn’t come yet.

An atmosphere has been created that those who favour demonetisation and GST are patriots and those who oppose are traitors said he. Thakarey also questioned the credibility of BJP sharing power with the PDP in J&K and asked why hasn’t the special status of the state been revoked till yet which happened to be its one of the main election planks.

He outrightly crticized the over ambitious bullet train project of Narendra Modi and rejected the proposal saying that the need of the hour is improvement in the indeginous railway infrastructure. Thakarey criticized the implementation of GST terming it as anti people and said that even in Pakistan petrol and diesal are much cheaper.

Just imagine a party ideologically similar to the BJP who supports BJP led NDA and shares power with it always criticizes and condemns it but the Party chief AMIT SHAH and PM NARENDRA MODI ARE MUM. The question is WHY? Sounds unusual and uneasy indeed. WHAT’ s your take friends

Pulwama attack: Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar should meet Osama’s fate, says Ramdev

Published

on

Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed should be brought to India or should meet the fate of Osama bin Laden, Yoga guru Ramdev said Friday, while seeking strong action against Pakistan.

Describing Thursday’s strike on a CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama by Pakistan-based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, in which 40 soldiers of the force were killed, an attack on the “unity, integrity and sovereignty” of India, he said time has come to merge Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) with India.

“All terrorists, whether coming from across the border or already inside our territory, must be eliminated, especially (2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind) Hafiz Saeed and (Jaish-e-Mohammad chief) Masood Azhar.

“Wherever they are, they must be brought to India or should meet the fate of Osama bin Laden (who was killed by US forces inside his secret residence in Pakistan’s Abbotabad),” Ramdev said on sidelines of an event here.

He said the terror camps operational in PoK must be destroyed, and if possible the region should be merged back into India.

“Pakistan is behaving like an immature, stupid and uneducated country. So, the Indian prime minister must now take a major step to teach Pakistan a lesson with some action,” the yoga guru said.

“Modiji should at least say that Masood Azhar and Hafiz Saeed will not remain alive whatever strategy has to be used for it….. this is the responsibility of the government,” Ramdev said.

Forty CRPF personnel were killed and five injured on Thursday in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir when a Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying over 100 kg of explosives into their bus in Pulwama district.

Ramdev said, “We often say that we will avenge the killings of our martyrs and offer a lot of lip service and engage in verbal wars. But they (verbal wars and lip service) are no more effective.” “The prime minister must now take a major action and the entire country should back him. No cheap politics should come in the way of the action because now it is about India’s unity, integrity and sovereignty,” he said.

Ramdev said it was now time to move beyond surgical strikes and all terror camps in PoK must be destroyed.

“We should not be scared by the thought that Pakistan has nuclear weapons. India too is equipped with nuclear weapons. But it is not about nuclear weapons, this is a question on our bravery and sovereignty.

“We think thousands of crores would be lost in finance in a fight, but whatever be the expenses, there should be decisive action for once,” he said.

Asked about reports of intelligence failure that might have led to the attack, Ramdev said whenever a major incident occurs there are no doubt of some shortcomings but this is not the time for criticism, but action. “It is time to ensure that such events are not repeated. I reiterate that each terrorist should be hunted down and eliminated,” Ramdev said.

About Congress leader and Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu visiting Pakistan last year, Ramdev said Indian leaders have visited the neighbouring country with an intention to establish better relationship with it.

“Be it the prime minister or the foreign minister, all leaders have tried to improve ties with Pakistan. But good relations are not possible because Pakistan has expressed that it does not want good ties,” he said.

More than 2,500 Central Reserve Police Force personnel, many of them returning from leave to rejoin duty in the Valley, were travelling in the convoy of 78 vehicles when they were ambushed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway at Latoomode in Awantipora in south Kashmir.

Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed terror group had claimed the responsibility of the attack that took place just 20 km from Srinagar.

BJP chief Amit Shah likely to announce BJP-Shiv Sena alliance soon

Published

on

An alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiv Sena to contest the upcoming general elections together would be announced in the week following this Sunday.
Word was awaited from the parties on Thursday night itself when Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray met at the latter’s residence, Matoshri, in Bandra. But it was put off following the Pulwama terror attack which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF personnel.
According to a senior minister from the Fadnavis cabinet, it is likely that BJP chief Amit Shah would fly down to Mumbai for the announcement of the BJP-Sena alliance. “It could be any time after this Sunday,” said the minister.

On Thursday, senior ministers from BJP and Sena including Chandrakant Patil and Subhash Desai were present when Fadnavis met with Thackeray.
Leaders from the two parties have been in talks over the last two to three weeks. When it became clear that the two were certain to join forces for the summer polls, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut floated the idea of regaining ‘big brother’ status for his party.
There is no official word on a seat-sharing formula, but party sources told DNA that the Sena is trying to drive a hard bargain, by demanding the post of chief minister in the state.
It’s logic: ‘BJP ruled in New Delhi with their Prime Minister, the states should be left to alliance partners, like Akali Dal in Punjab and JDU in Bihar.’

BJP leaders, though, want to retain the seats won by the alliance, citing its performance in all local body elections after 2014 (when it assumed power at the Centre) and its increased strength.

Day after flag-off, Vande Bharat Express runs into trouble twice

Published

on

Narendra Modi, India’s first semi-high speed train, Vande Bharat Express, ran into some trouble twice on Saturday while returning to Delhi from Varanasi, officials said.

The first incident occurred around 15 kilometres from Tundla junction in Uttar Pradesh, with officials calling it a case of “skidding wheels”.

“This disruption appears to be because of a possible cattle run over. The train was returning at night and cattle run over is a possibility at odd times,” Railway spokesperson Smita Vats Sharma said, adding this was not a commercial run, which is scheduled to start from Sunday.

According to sources, including several journalists on board the train, it was stuck near Tundla for over an hour.

“It was a case of skidding wheels after the train ran over cattle,” Northern Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar said.

After removing the obstacles, the train resumed its journey to Delhi at around 8:15 am, officials said.

However, it suffered a breakdown after 40 minutes at Hathras Junction and could resume journey after 10:20 am and is now running at a speed of less than 50 kmph, sources said.

Vande Bharat Express had hit 180 kmph during a trial run on a section of the Delhi-Mumbai Rajdhani route, thus becoming India’s fastest train.

The train had left Varanasi Junction at 10.30 pm for Delhi on Friday, nearly 45 minutes after reaching the holy city on its inaugural journey.

Train 18, which was rechristened Vande Bharat Express by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, has been manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.

pictures of 41 bravehearts who martyred themselves in the line of duty

Among the total martyrs of CRPF, the maximum number of martyrs are from Uttar Pradesh numbering 18 followed by Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, West Bengal,Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. Salutes to all these valiant soldiers who have sacrificed themselves on the line of duty protecting the 125 crore Indians from the enemies perpetrating havoc in our motherland at the behest of neighbouring Pakistan. Two soldiers from the himalayan state of Uttarakhand, the land of abode of Gods Uttarakhand also laid down their precious lives in the prime of their youth.

The two soldiers of Central Reserve Police Force who were martyred at Avantipora, in Pulwama district in the Fidayeen attack were Mohanlal Raturi from Uttarkashi, Garhwal and Veerendra Singh Rana from Udham Singh Nagar, Khateema. About 39 soldiers with valour have sacrificed their lives in various operations belonging to Khatima during the last few years in the service of the nation. It may be recalled that on 14th of February about 78 buses, trucks and highly guarded vehicles were going towards Srinagar from the Jammu Transit camp carrying 2547 soldiers to Srinagar to be oosted to various strife ridden locations of Srinagar valley.

When the Army n paramilitary convoy passed through Avantipora in Pulwama district about thirty kilometresaway from Jammu, a car loaded with 30 Kilograms of RDX rammed into the CRPF bus of 54 batallion of CRPF killing about 41 personels including a major. Veerender Singh belonging to Udham Singh Nagar Khatima belonged to Bhuriagardhi village and is the father of two children. His wife got the message of Veerender’s martydom on Thursday night by an Army officer on phone.

The news spread like a shock wave in the family as well as the nrarby licalities n thereafter in the entire state. Late Veerendra Singh has two brothers Jai Ram Singh and Rajesh Rana. Jairam Singh is a retired Subedar while Rajesh Rana isan agriculturist. Another martyr Mohan Lal Raturi is from Bankot, Uttar kashi. He was fifty five years old. Father of two sons and three daughters Mohan Lal untimely death has put the entire family in the syate of tremendous shock n financial jeopardy. Mohan Lal Raturi got employment in 1988 and since then he had been on duty in various challenging and strife prone areas of Jammu n Kashmir, Naxal prone Chattisgarh, Jallandhar, Punjab, Jammu n Srinagar.

The martyrdom of all the above 41 jawans have put their families in immense financial jeopardy and majority of the jawans hailed from hapless n poor family backgrounds being the only earning members of the families. The government of India and the respective state governments from where they actually belinged should give them Rs. One Crore Rs as financial compensation, a govt job to next of the kin n a house to live in. Om Shanti.

MP CM Kamalnath announces financial compensation of Rs. one crore, a house and a govt job for the kin of the Pulwama Martyr. Would other state CMs’ follow suit ?

Published

on

MP CM Kamalnath With PM Narendra Modi ( file pic)

While the entire nation is mourning the martyrdom of 42 valiant soldiers of Central Reserve Police Force who’ve been martyred at Avantipora in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh Kamalnath has while paying his heartfelt tributes to the jawans who sacrificed their precious lives in the line of duty has announced a financial compensation of Rs. One Crore, a house and a government job to next of the kin of one of it’s soldiers belonging to Madhya Pradesh.

The chief minister Kamalnath was forthright in announcing the financial compensation with a house n a govt job to the next of the kin of the deceased soldier of CRPF. As per the latest reports about 41 soldiers have been martyred in the Pulwama attack in Awantipora, Kashmir and several others, probably five or six critically injured under treatment in govt hospitals.

Maximum number of the soldiers who sacrificed themselves in this high intensity fidayeen attack belong to various districts of Uttar Pradesh followed by Bihar, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Himachal Pradesh n Uttarakhand. This is the biggest fidayeen attack of 2019 while in 2016 too a paramilitary convoy was attacked by terrorists killing more than fifteen personels of the security forces followed by the URI attack in the CRPF camp claiming about nineteen precious lives.

Though no amount of financial compensation can compensate for the irreperable losses of precious lives of our valiant jawans but the hard fact of life is that their hapless families had to ultimately survive and nurture their respective families who’d lost their beloved father, son, brother or a near n dear ones. Hence adequate financial compensation with entire service benefits including pension and housing facilities are mandatory for the bereaved families who’d lost their only earning member of the family.

There is no denying a fact that our troopers in borders, hinterlands n on mountains secure our country by confronting the enemies under extremely odd n challenging situations and sacrifice their lives while securing the lives of 125 crore Indians.

Therefore no amount of financial compensation can match with the myriad amount of sacrifices they make for our country.

It is believed that the chief ministers of other states follow suit and immediately announce compensation of Rs one crore, a house and a government job for next of the kin of the slained soldiers in the Pulwama attack. We fondly remember that during the tenure of Atal Behari Vajpayee as PM every Kargil martyr’s family was sanctioned a Petrol Pump n cheap housing facility in Dwarka in order to help the bereaved families survive in comfort after having lost their near and dear ones’ in the Kargil battle of 1999.

Similar Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival too had sanction Rs. one crore each to two policement who died while on duty and an ex servicemen. Meanwhile according to the latest news the government of Jammu n Kashmir which is under president’s rule n government of India has withdrawn the security of all the Hurriyat Conference leaders who’d been directly or indirectly allegedly aiding n abetting the home grown terrorists against India and working a Pakistan’s proxies against India’s interests. Lt general Deepender Singh Hooda, chief Northern Command, who masterminded and led the 2016 surgical strike over terrorists launch Pads in the Pakistan territory while speaking to AAJ TAK has said unambiguously that this is the right time for the Indian military and the security forces to show their might if not on a full scale war but partially not being bothered as to what mighty nations like China think of us. Since this is a matter of extreme urgency pertaining to our nation’s security India should be least concerned about the concerns of the foreign nations. We are duty bound to counter terrorism n safeguarding our borders. Genl Hooda said the time has come when India should go to USA n other countries especially China to accquaint them in person about the repeated misadventures of Pakistan and take unified action against terrorism globally, especially in the context of Pak sponsored unproviking attacks on India n Indian forces against India. He catagorically said that USA should be asked n requested to apply pressure on Pakistan to give up terrorism as the situation has now crossed the saturation point. Genl Hooda said India should relook at its policies n try to review it particularly in the context of Pakistan. We should’nt close our eyes towards these tragic incidents of martydom but should stand up with extreme alertness n feel duty bound to take appropriate military action to counter terrorist camps at all costs. If not now then when? Though full scale war is not a solution to this problem but the military n paramilitary forces should show its might in such critical situations.
