With the general elections just round the corner the prime minister Narendra Modi and the saffron party’s national president Amit Shah has started addressing massive public meetings in various parts of the country. It is understood that prime minister Narendra Modi would be addressing about 250 public meetings all over the country during the coming three months while Amit Shah too is busy with holding workers conferences n political meetings energising party workers in states where BJP is making new inroads especially in the left bastions like Kerala and West Bengal ruled by BJP’s arch rival TMC. In both these states PM Modi and Amit Shah had addressed largely attended public gatherings trying to cash on on Sabrimala issue and the issue of arbitrary Bangladeshi migration in order to capitalise on the majority communty votes.

While prime minister Narendra Modi was in West Bengal yesterday n Kerala earlier connecting himself with the general masses addressing a hugely attended rallies, BJP supremo Amit Shah was today busy in Uttarakhand addressing the largely attended public meeting and rally including workers convention at Parade ground in Dehradun, the state’s capital.

The BJP organisation has convened this HARIDWAR TEHRI LOK SABHA TRISHAKTI SAMMELAN addressed by party’s national president Amit Shah, the chief minister Trivendra Shah, union state minister for textiles Ajay Tamta n other party office bearers. Such decentralised political meeting n workers conferences are being held at the pan India level to reactivate the party cadre at the booth level.

The main objective of the meeting was to energise n revitalise the saffron party’s workers n office bearers up to the grass root level to ensure the party candidates victory in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

Prominent leaders apart from the workers, office bearers n local party leaders who participated in this Trishakti Karyakarta Sammelan were union minister and election observer n incharge of Uttarakhand elections of BJP Thavar Chand Gehlot, union minister state for textiles Ajay Tamta, Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Uttarakhand BJP chief Ajay Bhatt, former UK CM Vijay Bahuguna, joint General Secretary Shiv Prakash n others.

All the party lawmakers n ministers were also present in this workers conference cum public meeting.

After the recent defeat of the BJP in the three heartland states, the successful BSP SP alliance in the largest state of the country Uttar Pradesh, the increasing attack on the BJP led NDA government n the prime minister Modi by Congress n the rest of the anti BJP opposition on various issues such as Rafale, demonetisation, GST, unemployment, agrarian crisis and the possible formation of the anti BJP grand alliance nationally, compounded with the successful Trinamool Congress rally in Calcutta attended by 22 opposition leaders, the ruling BJP and the prime minister Modi has come into defensive mode.

Moreover poll predictions have also predicted the increasing down slide of BJP as compared to 2014’s popularity amongst the country’s electorates. The issue of Ram Mandir has also not fructified to the extent it was expected to.

However, the BJP has through the 10% reservation legislation and the recent budget given certain concessions to the farmers, salaried class, sr citizens, pensioners, workers of the unorganised sector, etc etc tried to regain the lost ground amongst the people of the country.

But despite all this the prime minister Narendra Modi n Amit Shah are doing their umpteen best to ensure that it wins the 2019 elections by all means.

Hence rallies, public meetings, workers conferences at the state, district n grass root levels has become the order of the day.

The Uttarakhand’s Haridwar Tehri Garhwal Trishakti workers conference cum public meeting at Dehradun was sequel to these pre election rallies through which BJP supremo Amit Shah is not only infusing party’s nationalism and energy in party’s grass root workers but is also establishing connect with the common people.

However, the main opposition party in Uttarakhand Congress is already busy with its Jan Yatra in the entire state likely to finish after two weeks acknowledging encouraging response from the people disenchanted with the present regime.
