The chief minister of Uttarakhand Trivendra Rawat and the Union minister of state for Textiles Ajay Tamta has assured a delegation of few Uttarakhandies living in Delhi to provide maximum financial help to the poor family of the deceased fifteen year old budding footballer Nitisha who met her sad end at Glenegl beach waters in Adelaide, Australia on 10th of Decembar.

The delegation met the CM Uttarakhand and the union textile minister of state at their respective Delhi state residences yesterday under the leadership of social activist and DPMI chairman Dr. Vinod Bacheti. In an half an hour parleys the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat expressed his heartfelt tributes for the adoloscent girl and an outstanding footballer and also assured of his government’s maximum financial assistence to the family of the deceased.

The delegation also included the grand father of late Nitsha primariliy hailing from Uttarakhand but born and brought up in Delhi. The union state textile minister simultaneously also assured of help from his side to the maximum at the earliest. But what would be the amount of financial aid has not been revealed till yet. It’s really unforunate and shocking that 15 year old Nitisha Negi who had gone to participate in the pan global students games at Australia got drowned in the high tide waters of Glenegl beach at Adelaide Australia due to the negligence and complacence of the coaches who are allegedly being patronised by some higher ups and no action what so ever has been taken against them till date including the management of intl. School Federation of India who managed the whole event.

A candle march vigil is being organised by the Indian community at Adelaide Australia on 24th December to pay their heartfelt tributes to the departed soul and for demanding impartial and transparent investigation into the whole matter. Nitisha lived in Khichripur and belonged to lower middle class family. Losing such a brilliant and outstanding budding footballer at such a tender age is the hugest tragedy for the parents.

The deputy chief minister of NCT of Delhi has already instituted an enquiry at the Secretary of education level and had asked for the report within a months’ time. The Uttarakhandies living in Delhi and other metrolpolises of the country including in the 17 year old state are extremely furious and angry over the untimely death by drowning in Australia of Nitisha and have demanded the most stringent punishment for those directly or indirectly responsible for this tragedy.

Kejrival adamant, says will lift the sit in only after LG issues directive for withdrawal of Civil servants’ strike

Published

on

After so much of political drama for the last nine days the two warring individuals, the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival as well as the LG Anil Baijal are still adamant on their respective stands of not arriving at the negotiating table despite so much of media hype and charges as well as counter accusations between the AAP leaders and the BJP which is ruling the centre and whose nominee, the LG, is the constitutional head of the NCT of Delhi.

Reports suggest that the Delhi CM Kejrival is not ready to budge an inch and is still adamant on continuing his sit in at the LG house despite the high court’s objections till the orders are (not) issued from the office of the latter (lG) directing the IAS officers to resume work and withdraw their strike.

Meanwhile, Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejrival said that two of the AAP lawmakers who’d gone to LG’s residence to meet him were turned away forcibly by the police, after the latter refused to meet them.

In a tweet one of the ousted lawmakers Somnath Bharti wrote: We have requested the LG to give us time so that we can talk and discuss important issues with him but instead, he forcibly ousted us from his office at the behest of Delhi police.

Similarly, in another tweet an ebulient Arvind Kejrival while castigating the Modi government wrote:

3 years lost in the valley,
3 years that saw huge civilian & army casualties,
3 years later the valley is worse-off from where it stood then.
This is what happens when you put politics over people.
I will not allow Delhi to suffer because of dirty politics of Modi Govt.

In the meanwhile, as per the reports coming to the fore the Deputy Chief minister Manish Sisodia and Health Minister Satyendra Jain have been released from the hospital and have resumed their respective responsibilities by attending their offices and clearing the pending files.

However, the AGMUT cadre IAS officer associaton had denied having received any written communication from the CM’s office regarding their safety and security as assured by Kejrival two days ago. They said they are still awaiting the Chief minister’s written assurance in this regard.

There are also indications that the LG had already directed the IAS officers to resume duty in order to bring to halt the current impasse. But no written orders seem to have been issued in this regard so far, say sources.

It may be recalled that the sit in by the Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival started on 11th june and today is the 9th day alongwith the three ministers.

However, the two ministers on hunger strike cum sit in at the LG’s office who were addmitted to LNJP hospital after their deteriorating health conditions have finally been releived on 19th morning.

The LG Anil Baijal seems to be in no mood to submit to the pressure tactics of Arvind Kejrival and his cohorts nor is the latter ready to surrender till Anil Baijal issues directives for the withdrawal of the IAS officers’ strike. Let’s see which way the situation takes a crucial turn and what comes out of it finally.

Deputy CM Sisodia and Jain shifted to LNJP, their physical condition deteriorates.

Published

on

The health condition of the deputy chief minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia and the health minister Satyendra Jain has deteriorated after their being on fast and incessant Dharna at the Lt governor’s office alongwith the Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival and state development minister Gopal Rai. Both of them have been admitted to LNJP hospital.

The Chief minister and the three Delhi ministers had been on Dharna which later on converted on hunger strike at the LG’ House’s reception for more than a week in protest against the IAS officers of NCT Delhi being on strike and not cooperating with the state government in the various developmental works by not attending the meetings convened by the ministers pertaining to the National Capital territory’s development and other significant issues.

They are also demanding that the LG should issue directives to the bureaucrats to withdraw the strike and also talk to them including clearence of the file of Delhi government’s recent proposal to deliever rations to the consumers’ doorsteps.

They are also accusing the LG of creating bottlenecks on their way in terms of delievering goods to the Delhi electorates and creating inordinate delays in implementing various projects by allegedly not signing the files sent to him.

The Lt governor who is not meeting the media , is adamant as well has however denied all the charges of AAP as frivolous and fabricated.

In the meanwhile while thousands of AAP workers and leaders including several MLAs had yesterday protested outside the prime minister’s residence demanding fulfilment of the above demands, the high court of Delhi has today reprimanded the Delhi CM and three ministers’ questioning their right to stage a Dharna without seeking any prior permission and asking them whether it was the unanimous decision of the state cabinet.

The court has asked how can they stage a Dharna in LG’s house without seeking the official permission and the LG’s consent.

This is a unique example of the confrontationist central state relations in the context of Delhi, where the chief minister and half of his cabinet goes on Dharna at the Lt governors’ office tesulting in the state machinery going paralysed for several days.

On 17th June the IAS officers of AGMUT cadre addressed a press conference at the Press Club of India and denied that they are on strike claiming publicly that they are working on all days clearing files as usual and doing their job sincerely.

Therefore, the statement of Delhi CM is wrong and unbelievable. They even claimed that the officers have been working on off days as well.

Meanwhile while appealing to the civil servants of Delhi Kejrival tried to be diplomatic saying that they are just like our family and assured them of all possible safety and security if they resume their duties and coperate with the ministers in carrying out various developmental works.

Political analysts say that the state elections are to be held in the beginning of 2020 and AAP government in Delhi has again adopted the posture of confrontation with the union BJP led NDA government as it did few years ago after assuming power in Delhi.

In the absense of various developmental works the AAP government wants to give an impression that the BJP government and its nominee LG Anil Baijal is pre strategically creating hurdles on their way and not allowing their government to carry out various developmental works.

It strategically wants to put the onus of the lack of development on the centre ruled by the BJP so as to send a message across that while AAP government wants to carry out the various progressive initiatives for the welfare and well being of the Delhi electorates, its primarily the BJP led union govt that’s not allowing them to do so.

However, in the health, education, electricity, water and food and civil supplies sector the Arvind Kejrival government has done appreciably well and is being lauded by the people living in the lower echelons of the society that includes people of JJ clusters, unauthorised colonies, minority sections, youths and the traditional Congress vote bank.

Though in usual cases there is always an anti incumbency factor against the ruling governments in states as well as the centre but in AAP’S CASE it may not work fully as the Congress Party could not make much dent into the AAP’S vote bank which was primarily its own vote earlier.
The BJP’s vote bank however seems to be intact in Delhi say the political analysts.

While Arvind Kejrival and AAP has been able to successfully generate great momentum in their movement against the BJP led NDA government at the centre through the current move, incidents of demonstrations against its government and Jal Board in various localities of Delhi including situations of power cuts due to the hot summer have also contributed in bringing its reputation down in the middle and lower middle classes to some extent.

The support of four CM’s of the opposition ruled states viz. Mamta Banerjee of Bengal, Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala, Rao of Andhra Pradesh and Kumaraswamy of Karnataka including Shiv sena of Maharashtra has added a new dimension to the political image of AAP and its Supremo Arvind Kejrival in the context of his elevation in the national political scenerio.

However, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi took pot shots against both BJP and AAP and crticized PM Modi as well as Delhi CM Kejriwal forgetting that AAP is an important partner in the 2019 anti BJP coalition alongwith other parties. He tweeted:
Delhi CM, sitting in Dharna at LG office.
BJP sitting in Dharna at CM residence.
Delhi bureaucrats addressing press conferences.
PM turns a blind eye to the anarchy; rather nudges chaos & disorder.
People of Delhi are the victims, as this drama plays out. Sounds interesting.

There are also reports that highly annoyed Delhi LG who is the nominee of the BJP led centre and is strictly anti AAP may go for some very harsh decision against AAP and its government in the near future. But its still a guess till it really comes through ? What’s your take friends?

Open gang rivalry at Burari in broad daylight take three tolls in a shootout

Published

on

Delhi has become a hub for hardened criminals and the incidents of gang wars, chain snatchings and assault of women are on the rise with people of the capital city having no option but to be at the mercy of these anti social elements.

Not a single days goes when the newspapers are not full of news of gang wars or incidents of chain snatching, killings, women assaults, rapes and physical violence.

If one goes by the statistics of the Crime records bureau it is beyond his or her expectation to find the statistics of gangwars, chain snatchings and physical assaults and incidents of rapes and women assaults increasing day by day and beyond the capacity of the law enforcing agencies to bring them under control.

Just today at Burari Chowk two gangs fought each other in broad day light killing two gangsters of the rival group and an innocent women.

In all about five rounds were fired in this violent gangwar with three on the spot casualties with severely injured two gangsters.

The entire incident was caught on CCTV camera displaying the gangsters flashing pistols openly and firing at each other now being shown on television news.

The public around went helter and skelter to seek refuge while the Delhi police petrol party or policemen from the nearest police stations were conspicuous by their absense.

The warring gangsters were so undeterred or least worried by the police that they conveniently fired, roaming around, as if they have no fear of the police.

The residents of Burari are badly shocked and shaken by this broad day light gang war that killed three lives including an innocent woman with no fault of hers.

The police arrived after everybody fled the scene. However, the CCTV footage has captured the scenes of the crime showing each n every gangster waving their pistols, and killing three with injuries to two gangsters.

The majority of the unauthorised colonies situated in Delhi’s outskirsts have become the major hub for the perpetuation of the criminal activities and gangsterism and the police is doing very little to control the situation. The Mitraon village, Najafgarh’s protracted gang war that started with a disputed piece of land has so far claimed several lives of the families in dispute and is still on.

Today’s Burari shootout in North Delhi which claimed three lives with grievous injuries to two has shaken peoples’ confidence on police uthorities as their saviour or custodian.

The Crime Branch of Delhi police have already taken the crime scene in its possession and its collecting the finger print, the bullet covers and
every possible clue with precision to solve the case and arrest the culprits. The police is extremely confident to bring the culprits to justice at the earliest. They have also taken the CCTV footage in their possesion.
