The prime minister Narendra Modi termed the victory of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections as an outstanding triumph and said that it’s a historic mandate on his policies and programmes of reformation and development. Congratulating the electorates of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, national party president Amit Shah, the party leaders and rank and file, highly spirited Modi amidst the thunderous applause from the audience said that this is a historic victory for the party as despite securing an absolute majority in Himachal Pradesh, the committed workers of BJP of Gujarat have made the 5th time successive victory possible.

This is no ordinary achievement but a historic win for the fifth time in succession which is an extraordinary incident for the news analysts and political pundits of the country, said Modi. This is a victory of outstanding nature as it’s a 12th victory in succession in the state’s BJP election since 1998 whether they were the elections of parliament or state legislature. Prime minister Narendra Modi was addressing hundreds of enthusiatic party workers and leaders after the dual victory of BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh at the party headquarter in New Delhi. Addressing eloquently, Modi passed a taunt to his opponents saying : whether you like the BJP or not but kindly do not derail the development of the nation and the spirit of cooperative competitive federalism being promoted and carried forward by his government.

He emphatically said that infinite conspiracies and planning were made by his political opponents in Gujarat with a single desperate aim to dethrone the BJP government and belittle Modi but all in vain. He said, while every party can have their differing views and ideologies but the opposition of the country should also have the guts and morality to accept their respective defeats on the developmental plank instead of expressing their frustration through unacceptable and demoralising statements.

Though prime minister Narendra Modi had specifically said that he is not for the criticism of his opponents but he lost no opportunity in strongly criticizing Congress president Rahul Gandhi and others without mentioning their names. Extremely jubilant and hilarious Narendra Modi has confined his entire speech on developmental plank and reforms and ensured that come what may, he and his government would continue to relentlessly move forward in continuing the unabated reforms and development giving an unambiguous hint that 2019 elections would also be in his and the BJP’s favour.

Prime minister Narendra Modi especially emphasised on the middle class of the country saying that their expectations has tremendously enhanced due to the worh culture and achievements of his government on various fronts and that he and his government will leave no stone unturned to come true to their expectations. Modi repeatedly expressed his gratitude towards the electorates of Gujarat for the party’s fifth consecutive victory at the hustings and mentioned Himachal Pradesh only once in his entire speech of more than half an hour amidst tremendous applause and the chantings of Modi, Modi. It may be recalled that in Gujarat the BJP secured 99 seats and Congress 99 whereas in Himachal the former got 44 and Congress merely 21.

Uttarakhand is progressing by leaps and bounds as scope for ease of doing business in this 17 year old state are much much better than in any other part of the country. This was stated by the chief minister of Uttarakhand in an interview given to a national electronic channel today. Extremely confident in his versions about the state’s over all development Trivendra Singh Rawat claims that Uttarakhand’s annual per capita income is more than Rupees 1 lakh 15 thousand, even more than the national per capita income of Rs one lakh nine thousand.

Answering questions with quite ease and confidence Rawat said that while his government is concerned about the high spate of migration from villages to cities and metropolises of the country his government is equally serious  to find out ways and means through various people friendly constructive programmes and forming of a credible PALAAYAN AAYOG in order to reverse this distressing trend.

The government of Uttarakhand has recently filed an MOU for using the natural waste products for useful purposes which will not only give employment to the local populace but will also generate economy. One such constructive instance is about rightfully using the pine needles which are in abundant quantity in Uttarakhand for extracting terpentine oil and the waste residue for bio fuel.

These pine needles if not used are tremendously harmful for Uttarakhand’s agricultural lands as not only do they make the earth barren wherever they fall in large quantity but are also disastrous from the point of view of spreading jungle fires most expeditiously, which are the usual.feature in Uttarakhand hills. Answering question on demonetisation Uttarakhand chief minister lauded the prime minister Narendra Modi’s efforts in attacking the black money hoarders and prevalent of unaccounted network of ilegal money which is the key to rampant corruption prevailing in our country.

He said , demonetisation has not only discouraged the black money hoarders to a great extent but also helped in strengthening our derailed economy of fiscal deficit. Trivendra Rawat assured that his government is tirelessly working to strengthen the state’s economy by improving the performance and stature of Tourism sector which is the main source of employment and economy.

The Congress Party vice president and Nehru Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi’s incessant Gujarat visits and his vociferous attacks on Prime minister Narendra Modi and BJP led NDA government at the centre on GST and demonetisation is the only issue that is being emphasised repeatedly with no emphasis on issues like inflation and unemployment. While Rahul Gandhi’s impact in Gujarat is gaining a positive aspect in terms of enhancement in large crowds in his rallies and consolidation of the minority vote bank alongwith the vote of anti incumbency as the BJP is ruling in Gujarat for the protracted period of nineteen years, the Congress party workers and leaders are finding it difficult to explain the people about the demerits of GST as they have not been educated in detail about the intricacies of the complex GST functioning leading to problems to small and medium businessmen and traders. The increasing activity and performance of Rahul Gandhi in social networking sites, particularly the twitter compounded with his furious targetting of BJP leadership in the context of Gujarat election with his fire brand speeches has constrained BJP to adopt a more attacking mode leading the state chief minister Rupani accuse Ahmed Patel, the Congress Rajya Sabha member and Sonia’s political secretary of allegedly in league with anti national elements which finally got badly back fired. Rahul’s highly successful Bharuch rally of Gujarat held on 1st November after successes of other previous rallies during the last few days under his Gujarat mission has definitely send threatening signals to BJP but if we go by the recent opinion polls BJP still seems to be far ahead in Gujarat. The major draw back for the Congress party in Gujarat is that while BJP has no dearth of political leaders right from prime minister Modi to party chief Amit Shah to Gujarat CM Rupani to the entire cabinet in Congress except Rahul Gandhi no other leader carries any special or significant political impact or charisma on the electorates of Gujarat as the Gandhi scion. Moreover, the entire state and central machinery was at work prior to the declaration of the election dates and subsequent code of conduct with announcement of pre election freebies, worth thousand of crores. The former CM Gujarat Shankar Singh Vaghela had also left Congress and few MLA’s as well. While the Gujarat election is a litmus test for prime minister Narendra Modi after spate recent victories in UP, Uttarakhand etc it’s no less significant for Rahul Gandhi, as well, who is likely to be appointed as the Congress Party chief, the party that is 135 years old and ruled India for more than 60 years.
