The opening of a super speciality 150 bed hospital by a socio cultural and spiritiual organisation HANS FOUNDATION at Satpuli, Garhwal in Uttarakhand inaugurated¬† by the present and former chief ministers of Uttarakhand Trivendra Singh Rawat and Harish Rawat in the presence of its “all in all”, Bholeji Maharaj and his spiritual wife Mata Mangla, has in a way send a strong message across the people and the government in Uttarakhand that if one’s will, grit and determination to do someting credible and pro people is strong and full of commitment, no power on earth can stop the noble endeavour move ahead with resounding success.

And the Hans Foundation run by the daughter of spiritual sect’ head duo Bholeji Maharaj and Mata Mangla has finally made it happen. This super specialty hospital constructed in just two year with a whopping cost of 250 crores is 150 bedded and comprises of the latest treatment equipment and machines with special concession of entirely free treatment to the inhabitants of the villages of Uttarakhand. There is also a facility of tele radiology in this hospital through which the doctors treating the patients can discuss the diagnosis and case history of critical illnesses of the patients with the specialists abroad with whom, the Hans Foundation has established contractual dealings.

The best part of this hospital is that despite treatment of all types of deseases and critical surgeries, the management will also provide free medicines to its patients of the underprivileged sections of the society. This high profile charitable venture, has also helped in providing employment to the local youths in all services, including in posts like doctors and pharmacists. The main and primary objective of this super speciality hospital is to run it on no loss no profit basis so that the people of the Uttarakhand, especially the Garhwal interiors could be treated perfectly and freely or on concessional rates, within their reach to pay.

Actually, Uttarakhand, though is 17 years old has no hospital in the interiors and as a result people are leaving villages in the dearth of adequate medical facilities. This super speciality hospital constructed at Satpuli, Garhwal on way to Pauri from Kotdwar will cater to a myriad number of local hapless patients who were till now completely bereft of quality medical facilities and had to go to Dehradun or Delhi to seek expensive treatments. There have been hundreds of incidents in Garhwal hills when patients died on the way while ferrying them to Dehradun or Delhi for treatment of severe deseases. While construction of Hans Foundation’s hospital has eased the medical requirements of local populace, it in a way also puts a grave question mark on the government authorities who despite having tremendous resources or could have managed through the centre, had they been honest enough to care for the health related welfare of the people of the state.

It sounds shocking that the whatever health centre or hospitals the government has in the interiors of Uttarakhand at present, are almost devoid of doctors, pharmacists, medicines and equipments such as ultrasound machines or X Rays. In certain hospitals glucose and medicines have been found of expiry dates. Just a few days ago a woman groaning with acute pain had to deliver her baby on the footover bridge in full public view just because in the absense of the doctor in the hospital in CHAKRATA, near Dehradun she was turned away forcibly instead of addmitting her.

The matter became¬† tremendously controvertial and the media took it too seriously. Conclusively, the point is, if an NGO with an honest bent of find to help the poor, needy and the genuine villagers with free or concessional medical facilities can come up with such a big super specialty hospital charitable venture in the interiors of Uttarakhand, why can’t the government?

It’s definitely a matter of immense pride for India to have been recognised by World bank for coming 30 points up this time from the previous 130 in the prestigious global ranking thus accepting the fact that India has definitely progressed by leaps and bounds especially in terms of creating an atmosphere of goodwill and confidence amongst the entrepreneurs, domestic and foreign to do business in India with ease and with no future hassles.

This outstanding achievement is surely an issue which is being politically exploited by the ruling party BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh where hectic campaigning is on and elections are due for November and December. Well, while BJP led NDA is quite happy with this latest certificate of merit with country’s sensex and Nifty climbing high, the main rival Congress and its fire brand leader Rahul Gandhi and other anti BJP parties are least happy, by enhancing their tirade against the centrally ruled political dispensation accusing them of misguiding the people of the country by confining the survey to mere two states of Mumbai and Delhi and intentionally sidelining the other states where the situation is quite adverse and in jeopardy after the implementation of GST and demonetisation which Rahul termed as anti small and medium businessmen.

He outrightly and most vociferously while deploring this indicator of World Bank Ranking said that India does not need a certificate of baseless recognition from any international agency when its crystal clear within the country that small and medium entrepreneurs have been completely put into trouble and extreme inconvenience in conducting their respective businesses and about 4 lakh people, especially the youth and labour have become unemployed after the implemention of demonetisation and GST. Gujarat witnessed one of the hugest rally ever against GST denouncing the BJP led government at the Centre.

The point, is how can an international body set a benchmark of doing business with ease by just assesing the perception of business scenerio of Delhi and Mumbai leaving or excluding states like Chennai, UP, Gujarat, Karnataka, Punjab or Rajasthan etc including the derogatory after affects of demonetisation and even GST, which has literally put the lives of the billions of entrepreneurs and the workforce of the country in quandary.

According to the news, the evaluation for doing the ease of business ranking is very complicated. The benchmark based on the data from Delhi and Mumbai for the current year till June 2017, places India amongst the top ten countries who’ve improved excellently, having performed well in 8 out of the 10 business indicators.

This world bank’s ranking lifting India 30 points higher in a year is rated as one of the outstanding performances of the government under prime minister Narendra Modi’s efficient and dynamic leadership, claim the senior BJP leaders while the opposition parties call this just an eye wash to befool people and entrepreneurs of the country with skyrocketting inflation in petrol , diesal, LPG cylinder prices, finally leading to multiplying inflation in the prices of essential commodities despite lowering prices of international crude and the government’s financial coffers’ full of 15000 lakh crores after demonetisation as claimed by it.(BJP)

The increase in 30 point ranking of India will not only create a widespread positive environment in making India an international business hub by encouraging foreign investors put their billions of dollars in India but also help in enhancing India’s growth rate to the considerable level, thus opening doors for massive employment, say BJP leaders.

In a country like ours which is not only the largest democracy of the world but also a true secular nation where all the religions, cultures, languages, castes, communities and traditions co exist incidents and attempts of creating controversies on the minority verses majority basis by unnecessarily raking up history of centuries, should be dealt with severely. Similarly, any attempt to create divisions on the caste, communal or religious lines should be democratically countered.

The incident of the President’s address in the Karnataka Assembly the other day, is in the news these days with certain politicians, particularly a minister at the centre representing Karnataka trying to create unnecessary controversies on Honourable President Ram Nath Kovind’s address downgrading him, rather, allegedly amounts to constitutional breach.

It may be recalled that the newly elected President of India at the behest of the BJP n NDA, Ram Nath Kovind had the other day while addressing the joint house of Karnataka Assembly, earlier Mysore, has lauded the then King of Mysore Tipu Sultan as a Hero who fought the Britishers most valiantly and sacrificed his life in the war against the British.

He even appreciated Tipu Sultan calling him a hostoric figure who invented indigenous rockets then used against the British army to enable them bite the dust. This indeginous rocket technology was later on used to develop hi tech rockets by the Europeans, the president added. The British Army got defeated against Tipu who finally died while fighting them most valiantly and relentlessly on the battlefield .

One of the BJP ministers’ had raised serious objections on the praise of Tipu by Honourable President and termed the former as anti Hindu, the traitor and rapist saying that the honorable President had to praise Tipu Sultan as the speech was prepared by the Karnataka government praising Tipu Sultan as a Heroic figure than the traitor who according to this BJP minister was an anti Hindu traitor and rapist. Sounds shocking to pass such public comments against the constitutional head of the country.

The point is our honourable president is a qualified and well read personality who had been a practising lawyer in Delhi High Court and apex court of India before being appointed as the governor of Bihar. Casting such objectionable comments on the speech of the constitutional head of the state to gather cheap publicity and downgrading his stature by belying or underminig his statement is a serious intentional lapse and should be dealt with severely in party forum.

The president is the first citizen of the country and carries a veto power. Therefore no lawmaker either MP, Minister, MLA or even PM could pass derogatory comment on his speech. One must also not forget that after assuming the pivotal office of president of India the first citizen no more remains the nominee of any party.

Our learned politicians of the country should therefore exercise restraint while raking up the historical issues that are now several centuries old and march ahead towards peace, amity and hi tech development of our secular nation with renewed energy, potential and enthusiasm. It is high time that our politicians and political parties should give up medieval and orthodox mindset and constructively move forward towards the 21st century.
