The Gujarat election is becoming tumultuous and stormy day by day and despite prime minister Narendra Modi’s impressive public meetings enticing full assurance of support from majority of the electorates on Gujarat pride issue, political analysts say that the 24 year old leader Hardik Patel’s increasing anti BJP and pro Rahul and Congress campaign has to a great extent shaken and politically threatened the state’s BJP leadership.

Though there is not an inkling of doubt that various opinion polls have so far shown BJP winning the Gujarat polls, but as the election date is nearing while Nehru Gandhi scion and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Patidar leader carrying the majority support of over 12% votes of the influensive patidar community Hardik Patel, OBC leader Jignesh and Alpesh Thakor have accelerated their political campaigning and vociferous attacks on the ruling BJP including its top leadership, already facing an anti incumbency factor due to its being in power for the last 19 protracted years the enhanced tirade of the opposition seems to have visibly shaken the state ruling party leadership and it was on 12th November that an alleged morphed CD of Hardik Patel was made available to TV channels by unknown sources to defame his image.

This clearly shows how badly is the state BJP shaken and disturbed. However,  equally visibly upset was the Patidar leader then and  had to become offensive when he accused the state BJP leaders of allegedly planting a morphed sex CD showing somebody like him with a woman to pre strategically denigrate his image. Denying and outrightly rejecting the highly objectionable CD showing him with a woman in an uncompromising act Hardik had accused the BJP of intentionally doctoring it to defame his image, reputation and increasing popularity.

He added that it’s the old tactics and habit of BJP that when they become apprehensive of losing the polls they resort to such cheap and unethical practices to defame their political rivals. The BJP has however, outrightly denied. Similarly, the BJP was in a dock earliar, last month, when prior to this incident, one of Hardik’s associate Narendra Patel has presented a first instalment of wads of currency, Rs ten lakhs, in front of the media given to him by the Gujarat state BJP leaders as a bribe to join the BJP assuring 90 lakhs to be presented later on.

Patel’s exposure has really led to the defamation of the BJP when the state campainging for the election is in a full swing. As the dates of elections are nearing the poll of Gujarat has heated up to the maximum with Rahul Gandhi and his entire team holding good number of public meetings being further strengthened as well, by the anti BJP campaigning of Hardik Patel and OBC leaders’ like Jignesh.

However, the Gujarat election this time too seems to be going in favour of the BJP as political analysts say that come what may the Gujarat pride factor and the freebies delivered and assured by prime minister Narendra Modi and his government to the tune of several thousand crores pertaining to its development and jobs to the weaker sections will definitely bore fruits and help in BJP’s return for another term.

The spate of incessant development in Gujarat during and after Modi’s tenure and his every possible efforts to break into the Patidar vote bank by participating in the Narayanswamy Mutt event which comprises of maximum devotees of the patidar community compounded with giving the Gujaraties a direct flight from London to Ahmedabad and a hi speed bullet train project worth more than Rs.100 crores are some of the revolutionary developmental achievements that are bound to go in BJP’S FAVOUR.

Yes, but the Congress is bound to improve its tally this time due to Rahul’s increasing efforts and anti BJP stance of Hardik, Jignesh and Alpesh Thakur the leaders of Patidar, OBC and the dalit communities. However, whatever, may be the result of this election but one thing is definitely confirmed that despite the Congress facing defeats in several states in the recently held elections, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi has always kept his moral high as a strong and dashing leader of the oldest political party of the country.

His increasing mobilisation capacity and single handedly taking on the ruling party tirades in Gujarat and Himachal despite all odds has proved beyond doubt that the Gandhi family scion is a horse of long race who believes in strugglung relentlessly even if he loses every battle. This fighting spirit of Rahul Gandhi has atleast kept the spirit of the rank and file of the party renewed with enthusiasm and potent zeal that will definitely help the party come to power again at the centre, sooner or later.

There is lot of hue and cry over the recent decision of the National Green Tribunal putting curb on the infinite number of visitors going for Goddess Vaishno Devi Darshan by issuing directives to curb the number of regular visitors to fifty thousand at a time instead of myriad number of devotees thronging at the historical spiritual Shrine considered extremely pious and miraculous by billions of HINDUS globally.

Even the emperor of India Jalalludin Akbar three centuries ago visited Godess Vaishnodevi Dham bare footed and presented a magnificient silver CHATRA in reverence to the Godess after he heard tales of the miracles of Godess Durga stationed here. In its order the NGT has issued number of directives in order to improve and maintain the deteriorating environment in and around the Vaishno Devi Shrine vicinity and reducing the inconvenience of the devotees, the tribunal has asked the Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to apply brakes on the unaccounted number of devotees visiting here and confine it to 50000 numbers on Daily basis.

Orders have also been issued for maintaining cleanliness in the vicinity and the fine of Rs. 2000 fixed on anyone spittng or throwing rubbish in the open in KATRA township and else where , from where the YATRA from VAISHNO DEVI DHAM starts. The NGT has also issued orders for forthright ban on pony ferrying the devotees and instead has ordered for ferrying them in the battery operated vehicles till the shrine. It has in addition banned the future constructions in and around the Shrine areas till Katra. These orders are being implemented from today itself.

However there is lot of resentment among the devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi who’ve opposed this move of NGT, not entirely but a number confining order that confines the daily limit to only 50 thousand devotees asking the government in protest as to where would the remaining thousands of devotees go in view of the arbitrary ban. It may be recalled that bllions of people visit Vaishno Devi Shrine everyday and about 77 lakh devotees visited for Goddesse’s blessings in the year 2017.

The government of Uttarakhand and its chief minister has taken a constructive initiative today at Dehradun by fructifying the efforts of the chief organiser of Hill Mail and journalist of Aaj Tak Manjeet Negi by way of becoming an active part and parcel of the RAIBAAR( Message) programme which involved the officials, bureaucrats and Chief of the Indian Army to share their pivotal experiences and innovative ideas for the over all development of Uttarakhand and to encourage the process of reverse migration which is one of the most serious problem of the 17 year old state.

Prominent amongst those who participated in this government sponsered event were the chief minister, Uttarakhand, the popularly known turn around engineer turned bureaucrat and chairman of Railway Board Dr. Ashwani Lohani, IRS , General of Indian Army Vipin Rawat, RAW chief Rakesh Dhasmana, DG of Military Intelligence Anil Bhatt, Rajendra Singh DG Coast Guard, Acharya Bal Kishan of Patanjali Yog Peeth, CBFC chairman and film maker, writer Punya Prasoon Joshi and others.

The name of the National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and his son Shaurya Doval were also publicised extensively but both of them were conspicuous by their absence. As given to understand, this RAIBAAR proposition, meaning message in Garhwali dialect has been primarily devised by the chief minister Uttarakhand to mesmerise the innocent electorates of Uttarakhand emotionally that the government of Uttarakhand is inviting the leading bureaucrats, engineers, corporates and even generals of Uttarakhand, still working or retired to come to the state an part with their professional experiences, know how, expertise and innovatve ideas so as to accelerate the developmental programmes of the state to much higher level and in wider public interest.

This event was specifically organised just 4 days before the 17th foundation day of Uttarakhand with a credible motive to send a message across a wide spectrum of the people that the government of the state is really serious about the welfare of the people of Uttarakhand. But the event backfired in the eyes of the vernacular press as no media person except a negligible few were allowed to enter the venue of the event and the programme was lacking the concept of participatory democracy as apart from the fourth estate, leaders of opposition political parties, the true andolankaries of Uttarakhand, the writers, journalists, real opnion makers, those representing the grass root people, the NGOs and common public was deliberately kept out of the show making it a real VVIP event.

According to the political analysts any such event that talks of inviting valuable and pivotal suggestions of experienced icons, if lacks the concept of participatory democracy, with negligible participation of movement activists, journalists, thinkers, scholars, common masses and the people who really matter at the grass roots like environmentalists Chandi Prasad Bhatt, eminent thinker and  Padma Shree Shekhar Pathak or leaders of BEEJ BACHAO ANDOLAN Vijay Jardaari or stalwarts of globally famous chipko movement and winners of number of prestigious Indian and international recognitions like Sunder Lal Bahuguna, then there is literally no use of calling these government sponsored events which unambiguously give an impression of partial and biased approach towards resolving peoples’ issues and concerns of grass root significance.

Everybody know that today Uttarakhand and the Centre have the governments of BJP and there is no difference of opinion that may amont to difference of opinion in centre state relations. Then why do not both the governments honestly work on implementing the article 371 and Section 18 which are prevalent in the entire Himalayan region of the North East anf Himachal Pradesh that guarantee infinite concessions for hill people in development and job reservation in state services.

If the government is really so serious and anxious about the resolution of problems of the hill people of Uttarakhand and its over all development including effecting the reverse migration with generation of employment opportunities the forthwith implementation of Article 371 and Section 18 is the immediate need of the hour. Such temperory and adhok tactic like RAIBAAR and SELFIE IN YOUR VILLAGE are not going to help in reversing migration except misguiding the innocent electorates of this 17 year old state that has been achieved after so much of relentless struggle and sacrifice of 47 precious lives of youths, women and the senior citizens. People of state now want result oriented actions not biased events. What do you say friends?

The Ram Mandir Babri Masjid imbroglio has seen the worst in the past with massive riots and myriad loss of lives of people of all communities in various parts of the country including the obnoxious Bhivandi riots of Maharashtra and thereafter dreaded Mumbai blasts killings hundreds, resulting in polarisation of the majority and minority providing political mileage to various parties, time and again.

Though the government of Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the result of massive polarisation of Majority community votes but the issue was then put on back burner on the pressure of the then NDA partners who were finding it difficult to go along with the Hindu agenda of Ram Mandir. Since then the matter is in the court of law and is fully subjudice. Though the Ram mandir issue has always been the BJP’s main plank before and during every election since the last three decades, it was not raised prominently due to the ball being in the supreme court’s court.

After the crowning of Yogi Adityanath as the chief minister of the largest state UP the Ram Mandir issue has gained tremendous significance and it seems that the environment for polarisation of majoritarianism ( Hindu) votes in view of the 2019 national elections is being created as the BJP’s pre starategic move at the central as well as the state levels.

The nationwide tour of BJP chief to re energise its party cadre and his special emphasis on the Jan Raksha Yatra strongly condemning the CPM for lynching RSS activists in Kerala compounded with the umpteen visits of prime minister Modi to sacred temples of Varanasi and historic Kedarnath Dham including the lightening of 1lakh 80 thousand earthern lamps in Ayodhya with a pledge to built a hundred metre high statue of Lord Rama to glorify Him with a massive budget of 133 crores that also includes facelifting of Saryu Dham and Ayodhya unambiguously speaks of the fact that an alleged extensive Hindu polarising agenda of the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party is on the cards.

All these live examples of glorifying the birth place of Lord Rama, investing hundreds of crores in refurbishing the pious Saryu river banks where Lord Rama landed after returning from the exile and constructing the 100 metre high statue of the Hindu God makes things crystal clear that the election of 2019 would be fought again on Bhagwan Ram’s glorification of Ayodhya despite the complex Ram Temple issue being fully subjudice as on date.

Whenever the saffron clad Uttar Pradesh chief minister is questioned by the media on the controvertial Ram Mandir issue he pretends to honour the apex court’s decision saying that whatever decision the latter will give, would be acceptable to him and the party as well as the governments of the centre and state but leaves no stones unturned to saffronise Ayodhya on historic Hindu festival Deepawali and publicly allocating Rs 133 crores for constructing huge statue of Lord Rama.

Meanwhile, in one of her tweets few days ago a senior journalist Sagarika Ghosh had suggested , why not to construct a hi tech hospital in Ayodhya than spending so much on less relevant heads. Not a bad idea, I suppose.
