Since high school, I have been waiting to enter college. I always wanted to be a college student; a serious student who would decide what to be in his life. It wasn’t just my first day at college; it was the start of a journey. During my school days, I had a glimpse of college life from my elder brothers and sisters. I was most curiously waiting for the day when I would start my college life, thought that the college life would offer me a free life; here restrictions would be few and threat of teachers would be little. At last that day came. I entered the college with new hopes and aspirations. It was a day full of new experiences. I got into a new educational building, was exposed to a different style of learning and met new people.

As soon as I entered the college campus, the high school atmosphere was over and a serious period of my life began. I did not use to change from high school to college, thus, was a little scared while entering the college premises and witnessed so many students whom I did not know. At first, I was lost and confused; I really did not know where to go. I had to ask around to figure out where the new students had to report. All the new students in the college seemed to be very happy and excited for their first day. Everyone was mingling, goofing around and was having a good time. I walked down the main walkway and was amazed at the size of the campus. Grass and trees surrounded it. People were studying sprawled on the grass with their books. I walked into a big hall with chairs, tables, and video games. People were eating, playing video games, and doing their homework. I soon discovered that it was the cafeteria. However, I told myself, “You just have to be brave”. I reached my first class much early so that I could get a seat close to the teacher to record the class and meet my classmates. The first thing that every teacher did on the first day was introducing themselves to the children and getting the introduction from the students, also asking them about their areas of interest. I noted down the time table of my class from the notice-board. I found that the method of teaching in colleges is very different from that in schools. I had some very strange experiences on the first day of my college. I was truly astonished to see students playing indoor games and listening to music in the middle of the lectures in the classrooms. There is no restriction on the uniform; you are free to wear whatever you want. I observed that the students were free in their movements. They can do things according to their choice. There are no time restrictions. A student can enter the college premises at any time and leave the college premises any time. Our seniors also came to interact with us. They told us many interesting things about the institution and their tremendous experiences in the college. I got a chance to get introduced to many new people, some of whom are my best friends now.

I felt a new rhythm of life and returned home with a mixed sense of duty and liberty.

The word chaddi buddy sounds kind of “bachpan vala jigri yaar”. We all have at least one chaddi buddy in our life who is a part of us since our childhood. We have the best of memories with these kinds of friends. Most annoying thing we face is “BACHPAN KI BAATE SABKE SAMNE BOLKAR EMBARASS KARNA”.

All of us must have at least one friend in our life whom we can call even at 2 in the night and can discuss any “CHOTI BADI MUSIIIBAT”. These kinds of friends are kinda mood lightener. Funniest thing about having a friend like them is that they are used to our stupidities and have a permanant solution to every problem.

These friends don’t give us feeling of being friends, they give us a brotherly feeling. We can say that if one doesn’t have a bhai wala friend he is truly lacking in best of memories. These types of friends are like “HATH TO LAGAE MERE BHAI KO KOI SABKO DEKHLENGE”.

Well jai veeru are  role models of true friendship. We must have a friend like jai veeru in our life, without whom we can’t imagine a single moment! These friends are sugar to our cup of tea, support system and motivation in our lives! For once we can forget our date of birth but we cannot forget these types of friends in our life.

Of course if we have not come across these types of friends in life then we have not enjoyed our life yet. They can’t leave a single moment of  troubling us “kyunki vo to help karne jaate hai par destruction apne aap hojata hai”. They cannot resist themselves from telling our parents things which we even can’t imagine to tell!” AUNTY HAR HAFTE 3 LECTURES BUNK KARTA HAI YE COLLEGE KE” cheers to these kinds of friends!

One can only be open to these kinds of friends truly because they are not friends they are a bundle of emotion. We can even enjoy the cheap baatein with these friends whether they be cheap songs, cheap movies, thrilling activities and “peena pilana” having a friend like them in life gives a feeling like  “KYUNKI TU DHADKAN MAI DIL”. Because we don’t need to express what kind of TROUBLE we are thinking they can figure it out themselves and can have a “GET SET GO ATTITUDE”.

These friends are truly a blessing or a gem we can say! No one can give the perfect solution like them. They are truly motivators “kyunki in dosto ke bina life ki equation balance nahi ho sakti” for once we can doubt on our parent’s advice but ye wale dosto ki advice “AANKH BAND KARKE MAN LENI CHAHIYE”. They can never give us wrong suggestion and there is no doubt in that.

Well , this is an old tag for girls, but the truth is it suits best to them. Girls love gossips and in a girls college you will find girls gossiping in the canteen, college ground, college plaza and classrooms… the best thing about this is girls never get bored of it. They can instantly get gossip topics whether it is on teachers, “Canteen vale bhaiya” or reaction to an alien member.

Selfie is not just a word it’s an emotion for girls. Girls are ever ready to take out a picture in a class, canteen, washroom and even they like clicking pictures of their teachers too. You can find a girl in each corner of college clicking selfies and making pouts.

Well every class has a bookworm who is never ready to bunk lectures. When half of the girls are busy sipping coffee and gossiping these girls are busy attending the lectures. They can never afford to miss any class and for them ATTENDANCE is their lifeline. They are teacher’s favourite and always first benchers.

Well these girls are just like me the canteen lovers, who totally depend on canteen food. They party in the canteen, they play there, listen to music and make their “SPECIAL VALA ADDA”. They fight for ordering food because some die for Rajma Chawal and some for chowemin!!

There are so many girls who are looks conscious. They are arrogant too and some can never get over themselves. We can hear” awwww” repeatedly from them. Their moto is to be “Beauty with Brains” but they are actually “Beauty without Brains”!! Mostly these girls are busy discussing their clothes and shoes or combing and checking their hair after every lecture in the washroom.
