The politics over the prime minister Narendra Modi’s Kedarnath visit is hotting up with Congress, particularly the former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat, who himself lost two of the legislative seats he contested from during the last election at the hands of BJP’s nominee Rajesh Shukla etc is too active in face book and twitter countering every BJP move pertaining to Uttarakhand. After the prime minister Narendra Modi’s most successful visit to Kedarnath and his hard hitting anti Congress speech, Rawat was the first bete noire of Modi to have issued a statement contradicting him, saying that the four new projects of Kedarpuri’s renovation and resurrection were that of his, which had already been inaugurated during the Congress’s regime. About seven hours ago from now Harish Rawat has posted an interested article in his FB wall, the translated version of which is as following.
Prime minister Narendra Modi is the third prime minister to visit Kedarnath. The former prime ministers have only sought Lord Shiva’s blessings, whenever they visited Kedarnath, but played no politics. Modiji has now started a new tradition and now visiting temples would denote playing politics and from now onwards temples would be used as platforms to express their political views. The prime minister came for the second time this year, I pray his comes for the third time also, but what has he actually done for the glorfication of KEDARNATH is not yet clear? Amongst the five works that the new government is claiming to start, the work of the GHAT, is already in progress and so is the work of protection.

The work of construction of the crematoriam of Shakaracharya is not such a job that it requires any financial package. This job should be done by the state government through its own resources and we were already bound and committed to do it. We had already worked on this formula and had planned to get it inaugurated by all the four Shankaracharyas of four historic dhams of the country so that a message of passionate unity that was given by Aadi Shankaracharya hundreds of years ago could reach to various nook and corners of the country and I had already formally inaugurated this scheme during my tenure.

There was no work left for which inauguration was not done by him during his tenure. Regarding the construction of Museum, the fixed place had already been allocated and similarly the repair and innovation work of the footpath from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is already underway since his tenure. Had the new BJP government sanctioned plans for new concrete hi tech metalled roads then we would have definitely considered it as their genuine initiative.

The government should have allocated finances for the following says Harish Rawat (1) Allocation of funds for the ropeways from Kedarnath to downward locations like Gauri kund, Rambaada, Sitapuri etc. nearby destinations (2) should have given permission and enough funds to renovate/ repair/ resurrectionof the huge cave in at Mandakini riverside ( Flood Protection Work) (3) Allocation of massive funds to stop and correct/ repair, the destruction of the Bhairav Pahadi ( mountains) which is a permanent feature.(4) the area of CHOWDABADI which is the main point from where the uncontrollable deluge arrived causing so much of unacounted destruction, should have been repaired permanentally by sanctioning massive funds as this may re occur any moment in future.

The prime minister has not even allocated fund for the development of Garud Chatti where he claimed in his speech that he stayed for a protracted period. Harish Rawat said that the majority of the challenging and mandatory works at Kedarpuri has not been touched upon and the prime minister had just entertained innocent people of Uttarakhand and the country by his sweet rhetorics and literally doing nothing. Whatever may be the reality behind the temple develooment but one thing is for sure that politicians don’t even leave spiritual places bereft of politics. Sad?

When I offered my services as the chief minister of Gujarat in the aftermath of the most devastating Kedarnath disaster to resurrect the historic Kedarnath Shrine ready to bear the entire expenses, I was allowed to do so by the then government of the Congress in the state and I felt highly blessed thinking that Baba Kedar has given me a privileged opportunity to serve him. I came out of the meeting with the then CM of the state blissfully and disclosed my intentions of resurrecting the damaged Kedarnath Temple and its precincts to the media present there.

Next day the newspapers were full of news mentioning that Gujarat CM will look after the entire resurrection and rehabilitation work of Kedarnath. The then central government of Congress got worried as now Modi will take the entire credit of this job and instructed the then chief minister Vijay Bahuguna, now in BJP, not to let Modi do this job. Hence a new statement appeared in news channels that the Congress governments are capable enough to do the needful n therefore there is no need for Modi to intervene in another state’s internal affair.

But see, Bhole Baba has ultimately showered his pivotal blessings on us and today BJP is in power at the centre as well as in Uttarakhand by the grace of all of you. Prime minister Narendra Modi made this disclosure today while addressing the party volunteers, pilgrims and the local residents at Kedarnath Dham where he was invited to seek Lord Kedar’s blessings on the closing of Kedarnath temple in view of the incoming winters’ when the whole temple and the valley is engulfed in snow. Last year prime minister Modi had come here on the ocassion of the opening of the Temple.

Pronouncing himself to be the ardent deciple of Lord Shiva, PM Modi said that the centre and state government are now launching an over ambitious project worth several crores for the over all facelifting of the damaged Kedarnath Shrine precincts during the ecological catastrophe of 2013. He revealed the plans for cinstruction of wider roads, well fecilitated houses for the pilgrims and purohits and hi tech lightening arrangements on 24×7 basis amid applauds from.the crowd. Addressing the audience in extempore hindi Modi pledged to rehabilitate each and every victim and family of the 2013 disaster and invited corporates under CSR to resurrect Kedarnath Dham with the latest technology and facilities in collaboration of the UK state government. Conveying his heartfelt tributes to all those died in this tragic catastrophe Prime minister Modi appealed one and all to protect the ecology of this Himalayan state by carrying out eco friendly development but not uttered a single word about the 36 thousand trees that will fall during the development and construction of the over ambitious all weather roads project in Uttarakhand with a total cost of Rs 12000 crores, inaugurated by him few minths ago in Dehradun.

He paid his respects to the people of Uttarakhand whose every 2nd family has a son or husband in Indian Army fighting the enemies valiantly on our porous borders and sacrificing their precious line of duty. He lauded the the succesful efforts of the UK government of completing its set target of constructing toilets and making Uttarakhand a self sufficed state with indoor toilets. He promised of fulfilling his pre election pledge of providing light connection in every house of the poor in Uttarakhand andother states and laudedhis government’s effort of delivering several crores free gas connections to the poor including in Uttarakhand to discourage deforestation and protect environment.

He thanked the Uttarakhand government for extending him the courtsey to visit Kedarnath and seek Bhole baba’s blessings. The governor of Uttarakhand Dr. K KPaul, the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat ministers Prakash Pant and Dhan Singh Rawat were on the dias, alongwith with the prime minister.

A four year child Kashish Rawat went missing from her Sector 22 house in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 12th May 2016 and since then despite several demonstrations at Jantar Mantar, Delhi and Noida in front of SSP office and the concerned police station including knocking the doors of Union Minister Home Rajnath Singh, the then chief minister Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav, his member of parliament wife Dimple Yadav and all the member of parliaments of Uttarakhand viz Bhagat Singh Koshiyari, union state minister Ajay Tamta, Pradeep Tamta and the UPCC(i) chief and MP Raj Babber nothing fruitful has been acheived till date.

The women child activist Kusum Kandwal Bhatt, the Uttarakhand Ekta Manch and Uttarakhand Journalists Forum have also energised their best efforts to meet the authorities concerned but of no avail. The local television channels of Uttarakhand and newspapers also highlighted the issue through debates and news coverages umpteen times but of no avail. The matter is very much in the knowledge of the Noida police from bottom to top but even after the lapse of one and a half year the police and the crime branch of the state has not been able to crack the case.

The poor and hapless parents of 4 year old Kashish, now six years are in the state of shock and trauma. The issue of Kashish Rawat’s mysterious disappearence has been highlighted in facebook and twitter umpteen times which acknowledged hundreds of shares and went viral but the Noida police authorities are still clueless about Kashish. Sounds shocking that despite repeated reminders, several letters and memorandums and personal meetings with the policehigh ups and politicians including the state CMs n union home minister the syate and central police authorities are totally negligent and helpless to trace the mysteriously missing / kidnapped child from his Noida house one and a half year ago.

The mysterious disappearence of Kashish Rawat seems to be the handiwork of the professional gangs of child traffickers active in Uttar Pradesh and NCR. Since the day this innocent child went missing several high profile cases have been solved with criminals behind the bar but it seems that Kashish being the daughter of the poor and non influential parents even the political high ups and police of Noida is not showing any interest, whatsoever, to trace this innocent girl despite 18 months having been elapsed. Uttarakhand Journalists Forum appeals to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditya Nath to take suo moto of the matter and help trace this missing girl at the earliest.
