High fantasy film maker S.S. Rajmouli’s Bahubali 2, the much awaited sequel finally revealed “Why Katappaa killed Bahubali?” But has the movie met public expectations ?
The clash between the warring princes Bahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallala (Rana Dagubatti) is the fulcrum around which the film revolves. As we know from the first part, Bahubali is the good guy, the rightful heir to the throne, and will save his kingdom from the evil Bhallala, come what may. When Shiva, the son of Bahubali, learns about his heritage, he begins to look for answers. His story is juxtaposed with past events that unfolded in the Mahishmati Kingdom.
It is a master piece of visual extravaganza blended with CGI and VFX that fixed the public in their seats. However, the ingredients such as myth, socially regressive themes and family politics seasoned with heavy special effects is equal match to that waterfall in Bahubali: The Beginning. The Conclusion is pleasing to the Indian public with its traditional costumes, innovative stunts and lavish interiors.
