The Nehru Gandhi family scion and the Congress president Rahul Gandhi is leaving no stone unturned by his tireless efforts to ensure the the 130 year old party is revived and revitalised to the fullest and strengthened to the core at the ground level to confront the 2019 general elections as well as the elections to the three states viz Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh going to polls in December, 2018.

Rahul’s unity efforts, his participation in the recently held opposition Dharna at Jantar Mantar alongwith almost the entire non BJP leaders protesting against the Mujjafarpur, Bihar shelter home mass rapes, his vociferous demand for CBI enquiry in the Deoria, UP shelter home rapes, secret meeting and interaction with the selective muslim intellectuals, one to one secretive meeting with few top journalists of the country, recent interaction with over 150 women journalists in New Delhi, addressing a large number of Congress women activists today and the complete overhaul of the CWC bringing new and old active members into it and reorganisation of the All India Congress Committee, compounded with holding current sessions of the newly constituted CWC and selecting Rafale deal, NRC’s exclusion of 40 million people in Assam and the collosal banking fraud of over 14000 crores including promotion of crony capitalism as the core issues of the 2019 elections are some of the vital steps initiated by the Congress president that uniquely givesan impression f his extremely hectic schedules in strengthening the party organisation to the fullest in the run up to the 2019 elections.

If one analysis the Congress president Rahul Gandhi’s single handed involvement in party affairs since his coming into active politics more than a decade ago one would be surprised and shocked that after Sonia Gandhi’s refusal to become the prime minister of the country fifteen years ago when she preferred Dr. Manmohan Singh to become the country’s prime minister, the Nehru Gandhi family scion Rahul Gandhi could have easily at the minimum become the minister in the union cabinet and later on the prime minister in the convenient transfer of position from within to which Dr. Manmohan Singh was fully agreeable but the latter refused to be elevated and preferred working tirelessly for revitalising the party organisation.

He reviewed the working of Youth Congress, NSUI, the Sewa Dal and after taking the charge as the party’s vice president dedicatedly toured all the states of thecountry and campaigned extensively in the general elections in 2013/14 and thereafter in the state elections of 20 states ofthe country. Though the Congress fared badly losing the centre and twenty states at the hustings but Rahul Gandhi never got demoralised but went ahead fiercly and energetically with a new zeal and enthusiasm. Rahul’s spirit as a relentless fighter with forceful tirades against the Modi government in the no confidence motion on highly expensive Rafale deal, massive banking frauds, failure to bring back black money stashed in foreign banks, unemployment, distressed agrarian sector, crony capitalism, inflation, NRC issue, demonetisation and unfair implementation of GST, rapes of women n girls in shelter homes, Kashmir issue, women’s safety etc have won the hearts of billions in.the country and exposed Modi government on several important fronts.

His tirade against prime minister Modi as the SUIT BOOT KI SARKAR AND THE GOVT and the PM  OF RHETORICS has also politcally demoralised the saffron party leadership at the centre and states.

Rahul Gandhi’s few foreign visits to mobilise the Indians there against the NDA government have borne fruits to a great extent. The point is despite losing badly at the hustings in 2014 as well as in 20 states Rahul Gandhi never lost heartand hoes but had continued his spirited campaign against the ruling political dispensation come what may, in and ouside parliament.

It’s only because of his highly spirited anti BJP and anti Modi campaign that today the otherwise complacent and stoic opposition has re energised and geared iself for a non BJP opposition unity to confront the BJP led NDA forcefully and with full strength in 2019 general elections and in the three state elections going to polls in December, 2018. Rahul Gandhi’s high spirited moves have also revitalised the Congress and infused in them a sense of renewed confidence and vitality. What’s your take, friends?
