Good news for fans of opening batsman Gautam Gambhir as he is making a comeback this season to India’s Test squad after taking a long gap of two years. He is coming as a replacement of injured KL Rahul for the remaining two tests against New Zealand.

He was very excited about his comeback and tweeted about his excitement. He tweeted “Excitement of a debutant, certainty of experienced, nervousness of a novice…am feeling it all. Eden here I come loaded with ambitions (sic),”

He has always been known as an energetic and aggressive player and good batsman. This time he also expressed his gratitude to the Board of Control for cricket in India (BBCI) and hid fans. He further tweeted “Nothing beats playing again for d country. Test cricket, whites, red ball and India cap again. Thanks @BCCI, thanks 2 all for d prayers.”

It would also be very interesting to see that how Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir would be playing together as everyone knows that they do not have cordial relationship.

We know that both of them are very aggressive and also share a similar temperament and due these temperamental issues they even fought and had argument with each other during an IPL match.

There were also some reports that it was Virat Kohli who chose Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan over Gautam Gambhir when the players were being finalized for New Zealand series and if these reports are correct than there is something cooking between these two great players.

They have been involved in many ugly on field spat like in 2013 Gambhir and Kohli had a ugly spat on field when Royal Challengers Bangalore hosted Kolkata Knight Riders in the 12th match of the Indian Premier league, 2013.

Again they had a verbal fight during IPL 2015 after KKR was defeated by RCB by 7 wickets.

Let us hope that the do not have any more ugly spat in field  and continue to play in harmony and good spirit.
