Delhi state Congress’s entire Uttarakhandi Cell joins AAP! A huge jolt to DPCC

Published

on

In a major jolt to the Delhi State Congress Committee, the president of the Parvatiya Congress, the party’s cell of Uttarakhandies living in Delhi, Brijmohan Upreti has today joined the Aam Aadmi Party in the presence of one of it’s ministers Gopal Rai n corporator Geeta Rawat in Delhi (after resigning from yesterday) alongwith several of his followers i.e the district and block presidents thus giving an additional strength to the ruling party in Delhi who just a few days ago suffered a setback when two of its important activists n journalists, one a chairman of the Delhi dialogue commission resigned from the party citing personel reasons namely Asutosh and Khaitan.

The Aam Admi Party today seems to be a major “KHAIRKHWAH” worrying for the interests of the Uttarakhand community living in Delhi by way of funding several social outfits organise Uttarayini, a pahaadi cultural event in almost all the constituencies of Delhi last year by way of financing good number of Uttarakhandi social organisations and also establishing the Uttarakhand academy in Delhi which was their long cherished dream.

Though the Congress and BJP ruled Delhi for several years but no party has ever thought of obliging the hill people of the capital despite the hard fact that they are in good number not less than 25 lakhs who form a consolidated large chunk of vote bank in Delhi.

The Parvatiya Congress chief of Delhi Brijmohan has also resigned expressing his annoyance and frustration over the continuous disregard and isolation of the Uttrakhandi community in the party organisation and in issuance of party tickets during the state assembly and civic elections.

The enmass resignation and joining of AAP by a large chunk of Congress’s hill people in the absense of its president Ajay Maken who is out to foreign country for treatment of his ailment has sent a disturbing signal to the Congress in Delhi particularly in view of the state elections slated for 2020 in the beginning months.

The senior party leader and minister Gopal Rai welcomed the entire hostile lot of the Congressmen in Aam Aadmi Party and assured them of due recognition and adjustments in the party organisation in the near future.

Meanwhile, strongly reacting to the resignation and subsequent joining of AAP by the Delhi Pradesh Parvatiya Congress Committee Upreti, the present Vice president Virendra Negi has denied reports of other office bearers joining the AAP saying that Upreti has singularly joined with negligible number of supporters which would under no condition affect the political health of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee under the dynamic leadership of its president Ajay Maken.

Negi assured the partymen that the Delhi State Parvatiya Congress is extremely strong and cohesive as there are still more than active hundred office bearers associated with the organisation. Virendra Negi accused these hostile leaders of hobnobbing with AAP since long who’d clandestinely worked for AAP candidates defying the party norms during the last corporation elections. He termed them as Ram leela brand leaders with no political base believing in opportunism for narrow political gains. Negi revealed that good number of people of Uttarakhand holding socio political say n reputation are likely to join the Delhi Congress Parvatiya Cell to make it more vibrant and strong.

Reliable sources reveal that since AAP has become a formidable force in Delhi and Congress becoming a primitive party losing its grip on the Delhi electorates these hostile Uttarakhandies had no option but to join AAP for better political prospects in the coming future. Whats your take friends?

WE ARE NOT BEGGING, THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD PAVE THE WAY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF RAM TEMPLE AT AYODHYA SAYS THE WORKING PRESIDENT OF RSS BHAYYAJI JOSHI

Under the banner of Viraat Dharma Sabha convened by the Indraprastha Vishwas hindu parishad today thousands of protagonists of Ram Temple construction at ayodhya today gathered in thousands at ram Keela grounds from different parts and states of the country and demanded in a unified voice a central government ordinance to enable construction of a magnificient Temple of Lord Rama at Ayodhya, a protracted demand of the BJP n its various offshoots since the demolition of Babri mosque in 1992 by thousands of kar sewaks which led to several aftermath riots and bomb blasts in different parts of the country. The huge congregation of the saffron clad saints of various hindu organisations, leaders of Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh and VHP, BJP leaders n volunteers and those blindly believing in the ethos and heritage of Lord Rama and the right wing activists like Bajrang Dal volunteers n activists of the saffron party offshoots dressed in saffron robes raising Jai Shri Ram n pro Ram Mandir slogans holding thousands of saffron flags converged at sprawling Ram Leela ground and heard their leaders vociferously demanding the immediate issuance of the central ordinance, and nothing less than that for early construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.

The fountain head of the BJP and its main political think tank RSS general secretary ( Sarsangh karyawahak) Bhaiyyaji Joshi in his eloquent n furious speech demanded from the Modi government immediate inyroduction of a central ordinance to pave the way for construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya saying that they are not begging but its their suitable n genuine right and also of the party in power, the parliament and the government.

He added that the prestige of the judiciary and the courts should remain intact but at the same time the judicial system and the government should establish proper coordination to ensure that the feeling, emotions and the sentiments of the majority people should be fully respected and the temple should be constructed at Ayodhya which was also the pledge of the government in power. Swamy Parmanand of Virat Dharma Sabha has in his address given an open ultimatum to the government of prime minister Narendra Modi that if Ram temple is not constructed at the earliest lakhs of Ram Bhakts would not tolerate this betrayal and would continue their struggle with more vigour and vitality.

He added that if the BJP is accused of exploiting the Ram Temple issue at the time of elections and not fulfilling the promise after it comes to power then other opposition partirs should help in the construction of Ram Temple forthwith and resolve this vexed issue once for all. Swamy Parmanand Giri said that the presence of thousands of Ram Bhakts at Ram Leela grounds have proved beyond doubt that history has been created in Delhi today and the government of the day as well as the honourable court would have to understand the urge of the countrymen n resolve the issue once for all.

The saffron clad Sadhvi Ritambara said that the Hidu community of the counyry has now fully awakened in favour of Tam Temple and it will be built in Ayodhya at all costs. The international working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Alok Kumar reminded the ruling party government of its pre election promise to construct Ram Temple in Ayodhya and said that we are again requesting it to take take note of this demand during the incoming winter session of the parliament.

He openly issued challenge to the government that in case it failed to bring the ordinance or legislation pertaining to the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya in the winter session the Bhartiya Janata Party led government will have to face the consequences in the general elections. Swamy Anubhutanand swamy has in his address said that if the government fails in its duty to construct the Ram Temple in Ayodhya the entire Ram Bhakts would built the Ram Temple on their own in the sameway as they demolished the Babri Mosque issuing unambiguous warning to the BJP led government at the centre.

According to the press release issued by Vishwa Hindu Publicity chief Mahendra Rawat other who spoke on this ocassion were Jagadguru Ramanandacharya, Swamy Hansdevacharyaji Maharaj, Swamy Chinmayyanand Saraswati, VHP Vice president Champat Rai, Mahamandleshwar Nawal Kishore Das Maharaj, Jain Muni Lokesh Maharaj, Vivekanand Saraswatiji Maharaj n several other prominent saints.

The 94 year old king of Masalaas, Mahashay Dharam Pal of MDH, a multi millionaire was also felicitated on the stage. But the chief of the Art of Living Shri Shri Ravi Shakar Prasad who had been always at the firefront to resolve the Ram Janma Bhoomi Babri Mosque issue between the two communities was conspicuous by his absense. May be he had been intentionally sidelined say sources.

RSS, VHP n entire Sant Samaj demand ordinance for Ram Temple construction at Ayodhya

Published

Thousands of Ram Bhakhs attend Rally at Delhi today demanding bringing of a central ordinance for the construction of Lord Rama's Temple at Ayodhya

As the national elections of 2019 are nearing the demand for the construction of Ram Mandar is also gearing up nationally with the Bhartiya Janata Party, its various saffron offshoots, the sadhu sants of various hue and cries and the devout hindus all over the country being mobilised n channelised to the core in the name of construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya thus polarising the vote bank of majority community at the all India level.

Since the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992, the issue of construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site has been repeatedly exploited by the right wing parties in every election for securing majority votes and acknowledge power at the centre and in the states including the largest state of the country, Uttar Pradesh but this vexed issue has not been resolved till date nor Ram Temple built say the Hindu protagonists.

Now the time has come to exercise pressure on the central government led by the BJP oriented NDA to come out with an ordinance to make the reality come true before it’s too late say the Saint community of the country who’d gathered today in thosands in Delhi to demand construction of Ram Temple through the central ordinance come what may.

This is not the first massive rally of the entire Saint community, Vishwas Hindu Parishad n the Rashtriya swayam Sewak Sangh in the recent months but similar mobilisation campaigns were also organised in New Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium n Lucknow on 24th n 25th October where even the Shiv Sena Chief Udhav Thakrey also came from Mumbai n took a pledge for the contruction of the Lord Rama temple after castigating the successive BJP and Narendra Modi governments for always exploiting votes to assume power but backing down after achieving political victories.

Even the Uttar Pradesh chief minister, a devout hindi and the biggest proponent of Ram Mandir construction at Ayodhya, saffron clad Yogi Adityanath has already announced about the construction of a 170 feet tallest Ram statue at Ayodhya costing more than 350 crores including illuminating Ayodhya on every Deepawali festival with 4 lakh oil lamps thus keeping the Ayodhya issue inyact n popularised.

Today’s rally in New Delhi was a hugest from the point of view of impressive attendence of thousands of saints and the volunteers of BJP, Bajrang Dal, VHP, RSS and other off shoots of the saffron party ruling at the centre as well as in about 20 states of the country.

The way speeches of the political leaders of the ruling party, the saint communities, the right wing parties especially the BJP, VHP and RSS have concentrated their entire oratory on the Ram temple issue and the subsequently organising huge religious congregations of the saffron clad saints taking place in various parts of the country, it seems that BJP n its fountain head organisations RSS as well as Vishwa Hindi Parishad have directly or indirectly chosen the path of entire polarisation of the majority community on the Ram Temple issue with issues like development, employment, inflation, law and order and retrenchment in jobs etc taking the back seat.

Today’s rally was unique and impressive in the sense that the attendence of the majoriry communty favoring early construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya was in thousands saffronising the entire political environment and every speaker from Bhaiyyagi Maharàj of RSS to every important saint of India demanding the central ordinance on Ram Temple at Ayodhya in anger, aggressive and furious mode even going to the extent of demeaning the BJP government at the centre led by PM Narendra Modi of not come true to its pre election pledges of constructing the Ram Temple at Ayodhya even after 4.5 years of coming to power at the centre with a historic majority.

The recent shameful eruption of Bulandshahar riots killing two including a police inspector, the riots pf Saharanpur etc in UP n lynchings in the name of cow vigilantism in various states of the counrty in the past are the dangerous signals if not controlled or countered impartially for establishing peace, amity n communal harmony in the country credibly n strongly. The issue of RamTemple construction n disputed site of Ayodhya is in the Supreme Court of India and therefore subjudice. The law of the land should prevail in the country n the judicial verdict respected at all costs.

However, the political analysts say that raising of Ram Temple issue right at the time of national elections and pre meditated ocurrances of riots like that of Bulandshahar riots etc n lynching of innocents in the name of cow vigilantism in various parts of the country are ill concieved designs and notions allegedly created with ulterior political motives to derive favorable political outcome. This is highly unbecoming on the part of political leaders who take oath in the name of constitution but unfortunately play with the sentiments of the countrymen in the name of religion, caste and other narrow considerations not good and acceptable in a democratic secular society.

Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha delegation meets Delhi CM, pleads him to resolve long pending grievances

Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha's office bearers with Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival at his office

A delegation of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha, the biggest recognised social organisation of Garhwalies in Delhi today met the chief minister of national capital territory and AAP’s national convenor Arvind Kejrival in his Delhi Secretariat office at ITO, New Delhi and apprised him of various long pending problems being confronted by the social organisation having come into existence in 1923, founded by our ancestors in Delhi after collecting meagre financial contributions from its members with the sole aim to propagate the cultural and linguistic heritage of the hill people in Delhi n to resolve their grievances by being united and a force to reckon with.

Today Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha has a collective strength of about 5000 members and is considered to be the largest social organisation of Garhwalies in Delhi, in particular.

There have however been demands to convert it into a fulfledged Uttarakhandi organisation but its old constitution has already named it as Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha several decades ago n its name’s popularity dosen’t allow the new office bearers change its constitution set forth by their predecessors. The organisation however works for the welfare and well being of entire Uttarakhand comprising of Kumaonies, Garhwalies n Jaunsaries etc. Though the name of the organisation is Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha but its welfare measures are for entire Uttarakhand not distinguishing between Garhwalies n Kumaonies n considering the entire Himalayan state as its area of social functioning.

The organisation have been carrying on various scholarship programmes for outstanding poor n hapless students including various socio cultural n educational n health related activities for the good of the society.

It’s headquarter Garhwal Bhawan situated at Panchquin Road, New Delhi near Chandra Singh Garhwali Chowk is the main centre of various activities like provision for guest accomodation at reasonable cost, dining n lunch facility, allotment of the auditorium for marriage n social functions ,organisation of seminars, socio cultural activities n theatre events as well including the regional film shows. The Headquarter of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha is today suffering from some problems like arbitrary enhancement of its house tax and an alleged illegal occupation of the upper floor by a saleswala. Several court cases are already under process to free the Garhwal Bhawan from the illegal Kabza of a salewala. There have been several protests in this regard but all in vain as the matter is subjudiced.

Today’s meeting of the present office bearers of GHS with the chief minister Arvind Kejrival pertaining to above issues have been fruitful as the latter have give them assurance to resolve their all the pending issues in all earnestness. The meeting lasted for twenty minutes. Those who met the chief minister in the delegation were Mohabbat Singh Rana, Narendra Singh Negi, Pawan Maithani and Ajay Bisht, all office bearers of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha who’s term is likely to end this year or so.

Delhi’s air quality remains very poor for sixth consecutive day

Published

on

Delhi’s air quality remained in the “very poor” category for the sixth consecutive day Saturday with the meteorological conditions remaining unfavourable for dispersion of pollutants, authorities said.

According to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the overall air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was 322, which fell in the “very poor” category.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered “good”, 51 and 100 “satisfactory”, 101 and 200 “moderate”, 201 and 300 “poor”, 301 and 400 “very poor” and 401 and 500 is considered to be “severe”.

The CPCB said in 27 areas of the national capital, the air quality was in the “very poor” category, while in five areas, it was recorded in the “poor” category.he PM2.5 (fine particulate matter in the air with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometre) level was recorded at 155 and the PM10 level at 310, it added.

Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida in the National Capital Region (NCR) recorded a “very poor” air quality while Gurgaon recorded a “poor” air quality, the CPCB data showed.

Delhi’s air quality has been in the “very poor” category for the past one week with several areas recording a “severe” air quality, the authorities said.

According to the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR), the air quality is likely to remain in the same category with a slight decline in the pollution levels by Sunday due to an enhanced wind speed.

“However, it (AQI)) is likely to increase thereafter for the next two days to register in the upper range of the ‘very poor’ level. This deteriorating AQI on December 2-3 would mainly be due to expected adverse meteorological conditions and a decline in the wind speed. The contribution of long-range dust or stubble biomass is negligible,” it said.

CAPITAL GASPS: Pollution levels to deteriorate over weekend in Delhi

Published

on

Unfavourable meteorological conditions slowing down dispersion of pollutants did not offer any respite from pollution as Delhi’s air quality continued to remain in the ‘very poor’ category on Thursday. Authorities, however, have forecast “significant deterioration” in pollution levels over the weekend.

The overall air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 353, according to the data recorded by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data. The CPCB further said that seven areas in Delhi — Ashok Vihar, Anand Vihar, Jahangirpuri, Mundka, Rohini, Vivek Vihar and Wazirpur —recorded ‘severe’ air quality. As many as 20 places in the national capital recorded ‘very poor’ air quality while it was ‘poor’ in six areas, it said. The level of PM2.5—particles in the air with a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometres — was recorded at 206 and the PM10 level was recorded at 360, it said. In NCR, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida recorded ‘very poor’ air quality while Gurgaon fell into the ‘poor’ category, CPCB data showed.

According to the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, the wind speed and ventilation index are “extremely unfavourable” for dispersion of pollutants. Ventilation index determines how fast pollutants can get dispersed. The ventilation index of around 6,000 sqm/second gets rid of pollutants, but it fell to 2,500 sqm/second on Thursday in the city. According to the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting (SAFAR), the air quality is ‘very poor’ and likely to improve due to a slight increase in the wind speed. It will, however, remain in the ‘very poor’ category for the next two days.

“Due to cold front up in the north, the wind speed has increased, which may help in bringing down pollution levels. However, at the time of withdrawal (of high wind speed) after two to three days, a lot of moisture may enter Delhi which is not favourable for the air quality. The contribution from stubble burning is nil,” the SAFAR said. The government agency further said the air quality of the national capital is expected to “significantly deteriorate” on Sunday due to a decline in temperature which might lead to entrapment of pollutants. It, however, said the air quality even after “significant deterioration” is likely to settle in the ‘very poor’ level and not plunge to the ‘severe’ category.

A 92-year-old man was killed, while his daughter-in-law was attacked by a domestic help and his two associates, in South-East Delhi’s Badarpur area. Saroj, the daughter-in-law was attacked when she discovered the murder of her father-in-law, Chandrabhan. She struggled for two and a half minute against the attackers before her son came to her rescue.

Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South-East Delhi confirmed the incident.

“We had received a PCR at 8:30 am in the morning, the accused had by then flew away, and however we have arrested all three accused, from Ballabhgarh Railway Station while they were trying to flee to Madhya Pradesh by train, the accused though claim to be juvenile, and we are still in process to ascertain their ages,” said Biswal.

According to the Chandrabhan’s son Surender Kumar, his wife Saroj left home around 7:30 am in order to drop her grand son Arnob. Saroj did not check the room where Chandrabhan was asleep.

“Saroj went to drop our grandson. She came back home around 8:00 am and the accused servants told her that my father was unwell. Saroj walked towards the room and discovered him lying on the bed with his throat slit. Before she could alert the member of the house the trio tried to strangle her with wire,” said Surender.

Surender further states that his son Kapil managed to reach the ground floor on time and saved his mother. As the attackers tried to flee, Kapil ran behind them and he even managed to catch one of them, however, the accused let go of his jacket and escaped.

The same can also be corroborated from one of the CCTV footage installed in the area.

The resolution further adds that it also resolves to urge upon the Government of India to replace NPS with the Old Pension Scheme and benefit the government servants of the centre as well as the other states too in consonance with the employees of the govt of NCT Delhias resolved in the Delhi Assembly.

As per the resolution passed in the Delhi Assembly on 26th November in its special session it resolved that taking note of the anti people National Pension System imposed by the NDA government on government servants in 2004 which was further sustained by the UPA- 1 n 2 and now the Modi government it urges upon the BJP led NDA government to replace the NPS with the Old Pension Scheme in order to benefit the Delhi government employees n their families to lead their dignified lives.

Ajay Maken slams Delhi CM for calling a special session on Chilli Powder attack

Published

Delhi Pradesh Congress chief addressing district C9ngress convention at Karol Bagh, New Delhi

The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee chief and former union minister Ajay Maken ridiculed and also strongly condemned the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejrival for calling the special session of the Delhi assembly not for discussing peoples’ genuine problems of their welfare or the increasing law n order, inflation or problems related transportation etc but to discuss as to why and how he was allegedly attacked by a stranger with chilli powder.

Castigating the Delhi CM and AAP party government the furious Congress chief Ajay Maken said while addressing a Congress convention at Karol Bagh, Delhi that Kejrival’s only agenda is to take or derive maximum political milieage out of non issues but never seemed concerned for real issues of the grass roots’ people and the Delhites.

He added that it really sounds ridiculous that the Delhi chief minister is least concerned towards the serious issues of the capital like deteriorating environmental condition of Delhi where people are not able to respirate properly for want of clean environment, where life span of Delhites has reduced due to heavy polution, where there is lack of 15000 buses in Delhi transport corporation leading to immense hardships to commuters and alleged closure of 122 dispensaries etc but convenes an emergency special session to discuss the non serious Chilli powder issue.

He added that whether it was the issue of the fake certificate of one of his ministers or cases like alleged attack on his bureaucrats by his own lawmaker or issues like chilli powder spray attack etc, special house of the assembly was convened from time to time but the real issues concerning the health and welfare of Delhites were never discussed in the house nor special session convened for them.

Strongly condemning this individualistic and dictatorial attitude of Delhi CM Ajay Makan said that special assembly session should always be convened to discuss burning issues pertaining to peoples’ welfare and public interest, not for individual issues to derive maximum political milieage as being done by the Delhi CM and AAP party gpvernment.
Sounds ridiculous and shocking said Ajay Maken.

It may be recalled that the AAP party government led by Arvind Kejrival has done a remarkable job in health sector as well as in the educational arena of Delhi with upgradation of all the government hospitals and schools including free treatment in private hospitals as well as free distribution of medicines componded with opening of several polyclinics.

About 30000 litres of drinking water is free in Delhi and the power tarrifs have also been considerably reduced including regularisation of the services of the adhoc teachers as well increase in the unskilled and skilled labors’ salaries etc.

A major part of the Delhi Congress vote bank including the vote bank of the minorities, people residing in JJ Clusters, unauthorised colonies and JJ clusters have shifted towards AAP making the Congress party devoid of its traditional vote bank but despite all this youthful Ajay Maken has been trying his level best to take on the AAP.

But political analysts predict that if the Congress and the AAP really want to counter BJP in Delhi they both will have to come together and contest the Delhi elections jointly as the combined vote bank of BJP n Congress in Delhi is still more then the total vote bank of 35% of the BJP. What’s your take friends?

Fmr DG prisons IPS Vimla Mehra and biker Priti felicitated amongst 30 outstanding women at IIC New Delhi

Priti, Biker, IPS Vimla Mehra and other wmen awardees

Hundreds of award functions are held all over the country and there have been controversies with several of them as even the non deserving get the pivotal awards sometimes putting the actual and true achievers at bay or behind the scene.

But an award function organised by ICMEI yesterday at India International centre was unique and outstanding in the sense that about more than thirty women of outstanding calibre and feats were felicitated with 11th excellence honours in various fields for their exceptional contribution to the society inspiring the new generation, especially the budding sportswomen, journalists, police officers, advocates, theatre and social activists, women with guts and gumption, small and medium entrepreneurs, women in Army n Air force, doctors, engineers and even housewives doing extraordinary work.

Appreciating and lauding women for their untiring and exceptional contributions to the society is indeed something credible which all would appreciate as despite their making greater strides in all fields of life they are still considered to be a vulnerable lot in a male dominated society.

While congratulating each one of them I’d figured out two exceptional woman amongst the entire lot of awardees to describe their outstanding contribution to the society in their own way as the organisers could not provide me the requisite information about rest of them.

Vimla Mehra, the first woman IPS to be the Delhi Police’s special Commissioner and DG Prisons to whom goes the credit for introducing revolutionery reforms in Tihar Jail of Delhi was felicitated with the Life Time achievement Award while Priti Saraswat, a mother but a woman biker of guts, gumption, determination, courage and intelligence having travelled singularly more than one lakh kilometres on bike to the most distant n highly challenging hilly terrains , destinations and complicated remotest routes of the country during the minus degree temperature conditions was felicitated with the NAV SHAKTI award for her unique and outstanding achivement as a biker with immense dexterity n confidence likely to cover thousands of kilometres ahead on Bike to Thailand in the near future as well.

While highly determined and committed for bringing reforms in the high security Tihar Prisons in her capacity as the DG Prisons Vimla Mehra introduced good number of reform programmes in Tihar Jail by giving training to the jail inmates in job oriented skills. She also introduced foreign language courses for the literate undertrials both women and men in the high security prison bringing a new trend of educating and training inmates in order to make them socio economically self reliant after they come out of the prison to lead their futire lives.

She promoted Yoga, physical education and enforced descipline and decorum amongst the undertrials and contributed immensely in making them better citizens of the country.

Having travelled more than 1 lakh kilometres singularly as an adventurous biker facing all odds in minus degree as well as under scorching sun temperature in various challenging destinations of the country and still many more to cover including her future trip to Thailand as a biker Preeti writes on her FB time line in one of her posts:

“If you don’t challenge yourself, you will never realise your true potential.”
Have been riding now for few years and every ride for me is more of living my dreams rather than eating up kilometers and burning rubber.
This time I decided to push it a little further and take the spirit of adventure inside me to a different level.
It all began with the usual ride plan to the hills for diwali holidays { if u follow or can recall I posted tirthan valley plan }.
That’s when I thought – “why not test my limit as a biker”. And the idea of riding in sub zero temperatures on white and black snow clad roads started taking shape. The decision was tough. The terrain and weather was extreme and anything could go wrong. I discussed the idea with my riding partner, my husband, and the idea turned into reality.
Two of us took this epic journey with just one thing in mind – “we have just one life to lets live our dreams”
A ride to remember – no back up, no one to bank upon in case of a breakdown and an unknown and tough terrain to handle, this ride has taught me a lot. Made me a more disciplined and attentive rider and strengthened my belief in myself as a rider and an individual.

Hats of to both these towering women achievers and to 30 others who’d been felicitated in different fields for their extraordinary contribution as outstanding women achievers.
