Nobody really knows what lies ahead in ones’ life as fate is totally unpredictable . The most tragic train tragedy at Amritsar near the Joda Phaatak yesterday killing sixty innocents and grievously injuring more than fifty, have proved this fact as they had never imagined that just after few seconds of their enjoying the festive Vijaydashmi event watching the burning Ravana effigy and making vedio in their mobiles would die gruesomely.

The unfortunate incident occured at 7.15 PM also witnessed the killing of the one of the artists Dalbir Singh who actually played the role of Ravana in this Ramleela and also enacted his role just before the burning of the effigies of Ravana, Meghanath and Kumbhkarna.

While Ravan Dhahan programme was likely to start Dalbir Singh also came in the audience to watch the effigy burning after enacting his role. But when he saw a train in speed approaching near the people standing and sitting on the tracks he came rushing, shouting to them to be aware.

Dalbir pushed several people on the other side of the railway track but unfortunately his own leg got stuck in the track and he also came under the train and got mowed down.

Dalbir Singh as others never ever thought that he will meet such a tragic end. Dalbir was actually waiting for being felicitated after the effigy burning but fate had his tragic death stored for him.

As per the latest news artist Dalbir Singh’s wife and a two year old child and his family members were also in the function watching his role. His highly anguished and grief stricken wife said that she had done the entire make up of her husband.

Though Dalbir played the role of Ravana, a symbol of evil, in real life he sacrificed his life to save others.

Meanwhile after the Railway ministry has shrugged off its responsibility from this tragic episode the union Railway minister Piyush Goyal who is in the United States and who had just yesterday announced of his returning back to India in view of this tragedy is no more coming back now but has continued his US stay, negligibly concerned about the tragedy.

The state minister of Railways Manoj Mishra has denied that the Railways has received any information from the Punjab administration about the event. He said had the Railways acknowleged the information it would definitely had made necessary arrangements to avoid the accident. He flatly refused to admit that the Railway department was at all at fault therefore asked what’s the need for an enquiry? Sinha abruptly said trains are meant to run on speed n since the Railways have nothing to do with the teagedy since its not at any fault or had’nt committed any lapse enquiry is not warranted. He advised the media not to exploit this sensitive issue for vested interests and exercise restraints to give it the political colour and overtones.

Similarly, the chairman of the Railway Board Ashwani Lohani has also denied the fault of the Railways saying that railway lines are not meant to sit, loiter around or walk on them. He expressed his heartfelt condolenses to the families of the deceased and said that its indeed a worst tragedy that should not have happened.

Meanwhile the political blame game between the BJP, Congress and Akali Dal has ensued and nobody is ready to take the responsibility for the collosal tragedy. The chief minister Captain Amrinder Singh who’d visited the accident site has however ordered an enquiry into the episode by the Commision the report of which is expected within four days. Shameful indeed.

Congress organised an event in an anauthorised place. No permission of ground was taken. Police permission was not taken. Railways not informed. According to videos Navjot’s wife knew about people standing on railway tracks and they cheered about it and ignored it completely. How could she proceed knowing the risks involved. Clearly Congress choose to be in limelight rather than safety for the people. This is murder by Congress partymen. Rahul Gandhi is answerable. Why has he gone back stage in his Congress ruled state ?
Feel really sorry for the man who gave up his life to save people. May his soul rest in peace
