THE Bhartiya Janata Party has a new game plan in view of the fast approaching general elections of 2019 and the top leadership of the saffron party has finally decided to take full political advantage of its towering leader’s image, reputation and his unanimous acceptability across ideologies in order to gain maximam milieage at the hustings. However, the BJP leaders say that its a heathy initiative to apprise the general masses of the country of the former prime ministers true legacy for which he was admired, adored, reverred and lauded all over the country by all the sections of the society.

This is nothing new and all the political parties do so and had been doing in the past as the Congress and other non BJP parties had been doing since long.

An eminent poet, prestigious thinker, writer, orator, leader of Jana Sangh, BJP, leader of the opposition since Nehru’s era, former prime minister, Bharat Ratna and above all a master orator Atal Bihari Vajpayee was accepted and revered by one and all across spectrum having made a special place for himself nationally n internationly, even after going in political oblivion since 2004 due to health related severe ailments.

After his sad demise the way BJP leader termed as statesman drew/ attracted lakhs of people and leaders across party and ideological lines with prime minister of a country and various state heads including the entire union cabinet marching eight kilometres on foot till his cremation ground has never (ever ) been heard and seen before in the political history of India’s independence.

Highly encouraged and enthused by this tremendous historical response towards the late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee that the BJP high command has given up its all the important political schedules and drawn up a detailed national programme to take his urns to all the state headquarters and organise meetings and mobilise people in large numbers in the form of processions leading to the respective state rivers in order to immerse his last mortal remains there including making the electorates aware of the former prime ministers ideal, principles and programmes.

However, this has never been heard earlier. At the most the last mortal remains of any leader till now used to be either immersed at Haridwar Holy city, Allahabad river Sangam or the other respective state rivers singularly.

Or at the most sprinkled over the Himalayan ranges as wished by leaders like Nehru, Rajiv or Indiraji but not involving people statewise in the form of huge processions or rallies.

However, just three days ago a huge rally was organised in Haridwar for the final immersion of Vajpayeeji’s last mortal remains in the Ganges that is usually done according to the Hindu traditions. But looking at the increasing and swelling crowds at the immersion ceremony at Haridwar and the huge response at New Delhi , the BJP leadership seem to have made it a national agenda to immerse the last mortal remains of the former PM in the rivers of all the states of the country and also to rename the offices, various ongoing projects, schools, universities and hospitals in the late prime minister’s name as was done by the Congress and other political parties of the country viz the BSP, SP, DMK, AIADMK etc in the past.

According to the sources the BJP units and its chief ministers in states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Uttarakhand, UP and Rajasthan, Tamilnadu etc would take the urns of the late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and would immerse them in their respective state rivers thus mobilising hundreds of thousands of people in their respective states in the name of the former PM, propagating his ideals, principals, good deeds of ethical political life and taking maximum political advantage.

Several state governments as above have already planned and finalised programmes for renaming various old and new projects in the name of the late PM. This would be a year long initiative which will continue till the general elections of 2019 say the sources who not want their names to be revealed.

The BJP it is learnt would want to keep the issue of Atalji’s sad demise alive till the elections in particular and is duly interested  to propagate his good works, deeds, contribution to the nation, his struggle and outstanding track record as an able parliamentarian till the general election as it is extremely condident of deriving maximum political dividends  at the hustings.
