Android and iOS are constantly competing each other for unique features. More often they try to copy each other’s features but they are not always at uniformity.
They will always be compared with each other. It’s not that iOS is better than android. Both the operating systems have standout features. This article is presenting some truly extraordinary features found in iOS that are still not present in any Android phone.
A feature called 3 d touch is present in iOS which is not available on any Android phone. In the 3D Touch, capacitive sensors are combined into the smartphone’s display to sense three degrees of pressure in a user’s touch and respond in a different manner depending upon the amount of force exerted. In Android phones, there are two mostly two options press and long-press.
iMessage is the inbuilt messaging service in Apple . It allows you to send text, photos ,videos and location to anyone else using iMessage on iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple Watch.
Offload unused apps
This feature allows you to uninstall an app without losing any of its stored data. It was introduced in iOS 11. If you install the app again, your data is already there in the app.
Swipe right to go back
In iPhones, you need to swipe right when you have to go to the previous menu. It’s simple and easier to use than looking for a back button. In android phones, there is a back button to go to the previous screen and in some apps, there is back button to the top left which is nearly impossible to reach with one hand on a large phone.
Whenever the new version of iOS is launched, it is available immediately for all the supported phones including those devices that are two or three generations older. This is not in the case of android phones.

Meizu has offered a powerful combo of great specifications, build, and a bargain price to stand out in the crowded smartphone space. This is the company’s first budget offering this year, and the company has definitely made a statement.
Meizu Note 9 specifications, featuresGetting down to specifications, the Meizu Note 9 features a 6.2-inch full-HD+ IPS display with a resolution of 1080×2244 pixels. The display is unlike the flagship Meizu 16th, however, and houses a waterdrop notch on the top bezel. This is a very capable octa-core chip based on the 11nm process, and features high-powered Kryo 460 cores.
The Meizu Note 9 continues to impress in the camera department as well with the company opting for a 48-megapixel sensor accompanied by a 5-megapixel depth sensor at the back. The primary sensor is Samsung’s GM1 MOD, which is the enhanced version of the standard GM1 sensor. The front notch houses a solitary 20-megapixel shooter. In terms of connectivity, the Note 9 has dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C.

Apple’s next-gen, low-cost iPad may skip Face ID feature
Apple seems to be paying attention to those hoping to have affordable devices from the iPhone maker. Earlier, it was the iPhone SE, and now, it seems like an upcoming iPad which would be low-cost and obviously, skip a few standard features.
Coder Steve Troughton-Smith uncovered references to four new iPads in the iOS 12.2 beta version. He shared the code references on Twitter saying they are for Wi-Fi and cellular variants of possible iPads which would be without Face ID, indicating the purported models could be low-cost and toned down versions of the main models.
In addition to that, the code also has references to possible the 7th-gen iPod touch without any Touch or Face ID. It isn’t clear as to when the company will officially tease or launch these new products, but going by the tradition, Apple might give us a peek in the first few months of this year.
Earlier this moneth, Apple Inc took the rare step of cutting its quarterly sales forecast, with Chief Executive Tim Cook blaming slowing iPhone sales in China, whose economy has been dragged down by uncertainty around U.S.-China trade relations.
The news, which comes as a spotlight grows on Beijing’s attempts to revive stalling growth, sent Apple shares tumbling in after-hours trade, hammered Asian suppliers and triggered a broader selloff in global markets.
The revenue drop for the just-ended quarter underscores how an economic slowdown in China has been sharper than many expected, catching companies and leaders in Beijing off balance and forcing some to readjust their plans in the market.
“While we anticipated some challenges in key emerging markets, we did not foresee the magnitude of the economic deceleration, particularly in Greater China,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said in a letter to investors.
Apple finds itself in a tricky position in China, a key market for sales and where it manufactures the bulk of the iconic products it sells worldwide, after the high-profile arrest in Canada of the CFO of domestic rival Huawei Technologies Co Ltd.
Since the arrest last month, at the request of the United States, there have been sporadic reports of Chinese consumers shying away from Apple products. Even before then, local rivals like Huawei had been gaining market share over Apple.
Cook told CNBC that Apple products have not been targeted by the Chinese government, though some consumers may have elected not to buy an iPhone or other Apple devices due to the firm being an American brand.

Samsung may use LCD displays for some Galaxy A series phones next year
Samsung seems pretty confused with how it wants to carry forward its mid-range Galaxy A series. On one hand, the company has been introducing some very innovating features such as the triple-camera system on the Galaxy A7 (2018) and quad-camera on the Galaxy A9 (2018). On the other hand, the company may downgrade some features in the near future like using LCD displays instead of OLEDs, as per a new report of South Korea.
ETNews reported this week that Samsung may go with LCD panels for some Galaxy A phones in 2019. Some of these phones include the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A60. It won’t be the case for all Galaxy A phones, though, as the Galaxy A30, A40, A70 and A80 will reportedly come with OLED panels. Over the past few years, Samsung has been applying its OLED Infinity Displays to mid-range and low-end phones to make them look more premium and set them apart from other phones using LCD panels. But this also came at a cost as it forced the company to sell these devices at a higher price.
There is only one reason that could push Samsung to go with LCD panels and that is sales. The company wants to improve its sales after feeling the pressure from Chinese competitors in markets like India and other South Asian countries. With these LCD Galaxy A phones, Samsung will aim to keep the prices under 300,000 won (approx Rs 20,000).
The report adds that the upcoming Galaxy M series will also largely see phones with LCD displays. You may recall a report a few weeks ago that suggested Samsung is planning to introduce the Galaxy M series that is a merger between the Galaxy J, On and C lines. The affordable mid-range segment is seeing some stiff competition from the likes of Xiaomi, Nokia and Oppo, which is forcing Samsung to rethink its strategy. Whether the upcoming LCD phones will offer the same kind of punch as Samsung’s OLED displays are know to give will remain to be seen.
Samsung will continue to test out new innovative features on the Galaxy A series before it bring them to its flagship line. So, we may see the Galaxy A9’s quad-camera feature appear on a Galaxy S or Note phone in the future, but as of now details are still slim.
Apple iOS 12.1 guide: All the new features
The Apple-uploaded iOS 12.1 user guide reveals a group Facetime feature, improved Apple Music, and grouped notification updates in the new operating system.
On October 26, with the release of the iPhone XR, Apple made the iOS 12.1 user guide available for free download on the Apple Store, giving us some insight as to the new features coming to mobile devices on October 30.
The group FaceTime feature announced earlier but not ready in time for September’s iPhone releases will land tomorrow. Users will be able to have conference calls and video calls supporting up to 32 people at once.
Unfortunately, only the iPhone 7 and more recent models can handle the feature, which will only be available in select regions. The iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus, and 6s and 6s Plus can also support these multi-person calls, but only in audio; they will be the oldest models to support the new operating system.
New features include a Do Not Disturb During Bedtime feature that prevents you from being awakened during the night by notification alerts or a brightened screen. In general, the notifications will be more under control; users will have the ability to group them and decide which ones are worth being notified about.
Additionally, Apple is answering some common iPhone complaints with the update: the automatic “beauty mode” will be removed, the bagel emoji within the collection of 70 new emojis coming to the OS is no longer plain but spread with some cream cheese, and generally, bugs have been corrected. Your memoji can be more easily duplicated with the new operating system, so your avatar can change hairstyles as often as you do without requiring you to create another one from scratch.
To bring the camera up to speed with other top device models, the depth will be adjustable in real-time within the portrait mode of the camera app, and the operating system will have dual SIM support to properly enable eSIM.
The new emojis and the ability to take true-to-life pictures will be available tomorrow, probably not long after the iPad and Mac event when the iPad iOS 12.1 user guide is expected to be published as well.
OnePlus 6T India price could be higher than OnePlus 6; all you need to know
OnePlus 6T, the next flagship smartphone from OnePlus, will be officially launched tomorrow. The Chinese smartphone maker is hosting an event in New York where it will officially launch the device. The announcement was initially scheduled for October 30 but the company decided to prepone it by a day after Apple announced its own event in New York on October 30.
OnePlus switched to two flagship smartphones a year strategy with the launch of OnePlus 3T in 2016. OnePlus 6T comes just five months after the launch of OnePlus 6 in May and it has huge shoes to fill after most critics believed that it is almost impossible to make a better smartphone without increasing the price. The launch event is scheduled to start at 11AM EDT (or 8.30PM IST) in New York.
The company had also scheduled a simultaneous launch event in New Delhi on October 30 but did not reschedule it for October 29. Following its global launch in New York, the company will introduce the smartphone for the Indian market on October 30. The India launch event is also scheduled to start at 8.30PM IST and will be streamed live on its YouTube channel.
OnePlus 6T, when it becomes official tomorrow in New York, will be hardly new to those following the smartphone. The upcoming flagship has leaked in the form of renders, live images and in the process, revealing complete specifications of the device. There is nothing new in terms of upgrade and it will be aimed at those still stuck with their OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T or OnePlus 5 models.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 6T is expected to feature the same metal and glass sandwich design, we saw for the first time on the OnePlus 6. At the front, it is rumored to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, which will be larger than 6.28-inch screen seen on the OnePlus 6 and feature a teardrop notch, which will be narrower than the notch seen on its predecessor. At the back, there will be same dual rear camera setup but OnePlus is dropping the fingerprint sensor placed below it.
This year, OnePlus 6T will launch with an in-display fingerprint sensor, also seen on phones from its sister brand Vivo and other Chinese smartphone makers including Xiaomi and Huawei. It is not clear whether the in-display fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus 6T will be as fast as the traditional sensor placed on the front or rear of the device. It is a bold move from a company that has promised to offer meaningful updates every six months.
In terms of hardware, the OnePlus 6T will get the same Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It will retain the same dual rear camera setup with 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. One of the big changes is expected to come in the form of larger 3,700mAh battery and support for fast dash charge technology.
OnePlus CEO has already confirmed that it will run Android 9 Pie out of the box and will be available from T-Mobile in the US for the first time. It is also set to drop the 3.5mm audio jack and popular case maker dbrand tweeted that it has cases ready for the smartphone. It is expected to start at $579 in the US and could be available at a starting price of Rs 34,999 or slightly higher in India.
